Background
For children raised in low-income homes, higher education often seems unattainable. These students don't always have the motivation to apply to college or don't think it's a realistic option.
By providing mentors as motivation to go to university or to help with tutoring, nonprofits and their volunteers can make a huge impact on a student.
Find a nonprofit working with schools in your area and help open doors to an education.
