Bloom Again provides help with rent, utilities and food so hardworking women can heal and get back on their feet as soon as medically advisable with one less stressor. We level the playing to ensure healing is not in the exclusive domain of the rich, but available to every woman regardless of race or socioeconomic status.
I became involved with the Bloom Again Foundation to help in giving a hand-up to hard working low income women when they face a medical crisis. I can assure you as a board member that we are all volunteer board that cover our own expenses. Our administrative overhead is still less than 5% after ten years. I am firm believer that we should all pay forward and help those in need. When I met Dr. Lois Frankel and heard about the foundation she started I saw is as a perfect opportunity for me to get involved and pay forward. What I liked about this organization is that the organization is lean in the number of members and very efficient. Efficient in the executions of the decision making which results in rapid response financial assistance to economically vulnerable working women when they need it most due to personal or family medical emergencies.
