Partners-international Foundation (PIF) is a non-profit group of dedicated individuals who have the skills to really make a difference. PIF is comprised of retired military senior officers with skills in planning, logistics, and leadership. In addition, there are specialists in technology and how to adapt it to developing countries as well as researcher scientists who can evaluate what is working and when PIF needs to change course. Most recently, PIF members have been actively engaged in Haiti both through providing much need medical support immediately following the earthquake and coordinating placement of orphans in areas outside of Port-au-Prince where their safety and wellbeing can be assured. These are dedicated professionals who are able to listen to people in need, understand their perspectives, and work together with the local community as partners to help them to help themselves.
I have volunteered for PIF since 1996 in various capacities. This organization has an uncanny ability to attract extraordinary people to lend their efforts to provide sustainable solutions. Recently, this was the case in the Healthy African Scenarios Experiment (HASE) in ECOWAS, and the associated Capital Analysis and Performance Strategy (CAPS) model that grew out of the experimentation.
In addition to its humanitarian projects and interventions PIF also has a technology component to its mission. This technology component involves harnessing open source software applications to provide a variety of services to the non-profit community. These services currently include public and private discussion forums, video-conferencing, and secure instant messaging. Future developments will include geo-location and information services and distance learning applications. Much of this work is done in conjunction with PIF's partner organization, the Center For Applied Innovation.
When we needed funds to bring a 29 year old female bi-lateral amputee to the US from Nicaragua, Partners International Foundation stepped up to the plate and facilitated the fund raising to make it happen. When we first approached the organization, the answer was yes on the first phone call. Thank you. Chief Dave Peck Fairfield Police Department Fairfield, CT USA
Innovative solutions for our most intractable challenges. Their approach as a broker for recovery and relief organizations helps ensure prompt delivery of essential services to clients in need. Truly one of the best, and most efficient, non-profits around.
I have worked with many of the people associated with Partners International Foundation. They are truly caring and dedicated people who have seen the ugliness humans can create on other humans. They are a dedicated group and committed to relieving the suffering in a positive way. Their knowledge of Operations and Logistics from the military serves them and those they help to ease the suffering in a manner that allows the recipients of their help to live in dignity. While other organizations talk about relief, Partners International Foundation makes it happen.
A compassionate and responsible foundation that truly seeks to serve and make a positive impact towards human rights worldwide. Excellent work in both Rwanda and Zimbabwe.
I have dealt with this organization for a number of years. I have found them energetic, goal oriented, capable and straight forward. THey are honest and cooperative partners in getting aid to the place whereit is needed. I give them the highest rating.
Partners International Foundation is professional and proactive. The organization consistently goes above and beyond the call to help individuals across the globe. The organization is particularly attendant to the needs of active and former military personnel.
