I was diagnosed of Parkinson’s Disease a couple of years ago, I had severe fatigue, difficulty with mobility and sleeping. I was given medications which helped but only for a short while. So i decided to try alternative measures and began on PD-5 TREATMENT, It made a tremendous difference for me (Google their their website uine health centre ). I had improved walking balance, muscle strength and improved vision

i adopted my Rusty and they have been nothing but response and caring. They took great care of this poor boy who was all beat up living in the streets, He is now happy content and very comfortable

They do not help the clients at all. The boss Florence is a lazy POS who uses her 8 hours of job time to attend to personal business. The case worker Sandra works with slumlords and gets clients to rent from slumlords. Sandra is also a bold face liar. I pray she gets a tumor for all the wickedness she has caused. This place needs to clean house and fire all staff

The Bobby Jones Foundation helped me learn about my condition and ways to advocate for care. They are phenomenal resource, provide support and education to inform care. It is and organization that has a strong sense of community. They show up when you need them.

This group of tireless volunteers works endlessly to protect threatened natural areas on Staten Island and throughout the city and the harbor. And, continues to identify new areas at risk.<br><br>They have an institutional memory that goes back decades and are respected by elected officials and community leaders alike. The NRPA aligns itself with like minded organizations and mentors new environmentalists as well as recruit young people to be the conservation leaders of tomorrow.

Over the past 20yrs Brothers Care inc has been such a huge asset to our urban community . They are the true definition of bringing Unity to the community.

I have been part of this foundation for 5 years. I have had a very beautiful experience with my now 5 year old daughter and 1 and 1/2 years old son. They have been very helpful. The volunteers at the Mommy Store are very lovely. Everyone who takes part in this foundation helps you.

I truly love working here at Seamen's Society. The work is extremely rewarding and I truly enjoy achieving the mission with my fellow colleagues! It has its good days and bad days--but what social service non-profit doesn't have that. I truly believe this organization has potential, as of right now we are going through a huge change especially with our current administration. The Pro Life Elderly and Home Bound Club is organization dedicated to preserving the lives of the preborn babies endangered by abortion, through the suffering and merits of its members. Catholic rosary devotion and sing a longs give spiritual comfort and hope to these suffering souls. Knowledge that as Jesus's suffering redeemed us so to are we responsible to make use of our sacrifices daily for the benefit of mankind. The unborn suffering is enormous with over 55 million dead in USA since ROE V WADE, the elderly relate to and bind their suffering to Jesus that those contemplating abortion will never do so. The members are primarily those in Nursing Homes in Staten Island N.Y. new Vanderbilt nursing home and Silver Lake Care Center.Pro Life themed Passion play and Christmas play held once a year with the residents as the stars brings Christmas tidings and Easter Joy to all. I have been a part of PLE since I was a adolescent and I am now a mature man of 34 still making sure this ministry continues with Gods help.

The Staten Island Children's Museum has been a part of my family for generations. My children played, discovered, learned and grew there. Now their children, our grandchildren, are lucky enough to do the same. What a resource in our community. Creative play can be so undervalued, however it is the foundation for learning, adapting, problem solving, independence, pride, self control--so much more! Squishing clay, spreading paint, playing in water, riding a fire truck or creating an impromptu musical in a real theatre-these are the opportunities our children have at the children's museum. What a wonderful staff, beautiful facility and great programs. Thank you for being here for the children of Staten Island!!

This provides scholarships to anyone from a high school student to a grandmother who wants to gain training in working in the political field, whether as a lobbyist, aid to an elected, or even running for elected office. Past recipients include the President of a community group, and staff members of City Council and state legislature members.

These guys are doing a formidable job by bringing young people together to partake in community development. The provide a computer lab for kids to surf the web and do their home works. Their after-school is very intuitive and their cultural program is one of envy. <br> <br>These are immigrants that have come to the US to seek a better life. Their war turn country will ever remain to be a story for bad leadership.

The organization has a good standing in the Staten Island community. They have turned at-risk youths into productive individuals on Staten Island. One of their most successful project was their midnight basketball program. This program addressed gang violence; which channeled negative behavior into competitive sports between gang members. Their contribution stopped street violence between young gang members. I am proud to have such an organization on Staten Island that will stand up and deal with an issue that brings people together.

I've been volunteering for a few years and have found it to be truly rewarding. The staff at the office is pleasant and very helpful. I have a route every Friday delivering to 12 recipients who are delighted to know that someone cares. I deliver two meals (one hot and one cold) and have not heard any complaints about the quality of the food we deliver. The meals are individualized and comply with their nutritional needs. I have found that this experience has enriched my life.

The Grace foundation of Staten Island is for Autistic children . They provide social skills classes , gym classes,swimming ,bowling , baseball &, parent support groups . They provide help for all kids of the Autistic spectrum from severe to high functioning . Thank GOD for the GRACE foundation.

this is one amazing place i remember it as the staten island aids task force, I was one of the original youth aids task force member back in 1996 this is were i started my passion for educating young people about HIV/AIDS and today in 2012 im still doing it but with the lgbt youth. Lifestyles for the Disabled is a fantastic organization. I admire their courage, leadership, and generous hearts.

Why would anyone commute two and a half hours in NY/NJ traffic for a nonprofit's board meeting? There are plenty of nonprofits closer to home. I do it because the stories I hear from the kids in ACE and YABC and Olympus (the youth development programs) have convinced me that NYCID staff know how to give kids a second chance in ways that bring success. This agency really "gets" youth development. Take La'Shara. She talked to the board at our meeting last week. She'd dropped out of school. "There was nothing wrong with my brain," she said. "I just didn't like all the cliques and stuff that goes on in school. But, when you drop out, you just get yourself in trouble. And, I did." When she ended up at ACE some time later, she said "They were relentless. You couldn't drop out. They were there, in my face, reminding me what I had to do to get my GED and go to college. I knew they cared!" Today, she's in college and talking about a future. She's discovered she likes biology and thinks maybe she'd like to become a doctor. But, she likes arguing, too. Maybe she'll become a lawyer. But she's excited about life. She knows her future is in her hands. So, they're not perfect. Not all kids succeed. And, sometimes the thank yous don't go out on time. But they're pretty close. Well worth supporting.

Wonderful! For the past two summers my daughter has attended the summer outreach program in August. She learned all about dance and theatre. They also learned about famous dancers, artists, preparing for careers in the arts. They received books about famous dancers, careers, etc. and had a reading teacher to help them understand what they were learning. Two years ago Ailey II came to visit the group for a master class and performance. Then last year a Japanese Dance Company came in to teach them and also put on a performance. At the end of the program the children performed for everyone and they received special awards. All I can say is that my daughter enjoys this program every August. It is educational, enriching and motivating to these young boys and girls. I'm so happy this theatre was saved!

I worked with the Second Chance youth summit of 2009. I was greatly impressed with the level of committement and organizaqtion. The youths were very excited and inspiring. I meanly love the cohesiveness and diversity present at the summit.

BEWARE OF THIS ORGANIZATION: Despite its well intentioned mission statement, I would not recommend donating or getting involved with this organization in any matter. OUR INVOLVEMENT IS AS FOLLOWS: My architectural firm was retained by HHI to design a new music school for autistic persons on Staten Island. We were originally matched by a design/non-profit service in October 2008. We completed a feasabilty study in mid-march 2009, where we spent a total of $35,500.00 in personnel time. This time was generously performed on a pro bono basis. We received a follow up email and phone call at the end of March '09 from the president of HHI indicating that an "angel donor" had granted $400k as seed money for the design services. We were directed by the president to author and initiate an Owner/Architect Agreement. We did so, and it was executed by both parties in early April. We requested a small 5-figure retainer check to be enclosed with the returned O/A Agreement. It bounced. According to the president it was due to a banking error based on a previous instance of identity theft. We continued work on the good faith that the banking issue would be resolved by the first invoice which was issued in mid-May. We were assured that the replacement retainer check, plus payment on the first invoice (a mid-5-figure dollar value) can be deposited and that there would be no problems. Both bounced; twice. An additional invoice was submitted for the remainder of the work, now totaling a mid-six figure dollar value. None of the monies that we have worked hard for in creating this beautiful structure have been paid to us. We have been given response, run-around, un-answered and un-returned phone calls. Email responses have been brief, evasive, deceptive, and blatantly untruthful. We are considering initiating both criminal and civil legal actions against the president and the organization; as the actions by the president are presumed to be fraudulent, but definitively breach of contract.
