Hello, I had the wonderful privilege of being one of the main speakers for this organization and working with dynamic teachers and professionals. Sadly to say, the non profit had to close their doors in August; however, myself and colleague are continuing to provide teacher inservice-training regarding strategies for helping the struggling learners and classroom interventions for the disruptive/disengaged students.
Here's to you CLD, may your legacy live On!!!

I began my work with Center for Learning and Development (CLD) almost 12 years ago as a presenter and speaker. I have traveled TExas and touched the lives of thousands of teachers that are working in the trenches. I have heard their stories of their struggles and victories and feel honored to be a part of the journey. CLD has made a tremendous difference in bringing research-based training into schools and helping teachers make systemic changes in their schools. Thanks CLD - it has been a wonderful journey!!
I have enjoyed learning more about Center for Learning & Development as a board member. The leadership is awesome and knowledgeable of how to better help our educational systems best reach and teach others. I am still in the schools and know and see first hand the needs of our administrators, teachers, students, and families. The needs are great. Center for Learning & Development has the tools needed to reach and teach each need.
I'm going to keep this really simple. Center for Learning and Development gets it and they are doing something about it. My hope is that educators will ask for their help, because children and their families will benefit for the rest of their lives. This is a simple truth. If you are hesitant to seek the help of Center for Learning and Development, because you don't understand, just trust. You may feel that it is not affordable cost efficient, but the results speak for themselves. Again... I say, just trust.
I love the Center for Learning and Development and all of its staff!! CLD personnel and consultants truly know what it takes to make schools places that students and teachers want to be:)
My sincere appreciation and love for CLD started when I experienced firsthand the overwhelmingly positive impact it made on the students where I served as high school principal. To be certain, students need a place to belong, among caring and dedicated professionals who are intent on meeting the students where they are. CLD accomplishes this in an exemplary fashion! CLD provided the research, resources, training, feedback, and follow-up necessary to ensure that ALL of our students had the tools to become successful, independent learners. Our failure rate was low, and our graduation rate was 100%. I give CLD much of the credit for this amazing accomplishment. Because of my belief in the power of CLD, I am now serving as a consultant for this nonprofit, providing training to principals as they develop their own comprehensive program to assist struggling learners. It is such a joy to provide training for something that I know, without a doubt, will proactively and positively affect the entire culture at their school.
I began my association with the Center for Learning and Development (CLD) as a board member. After serving on the board for two years, I was so impressed with their dedication to improving the lives of struggling learners that I began to work as an educational consultant for CLD. I am honored to serve in this capacity and to enthusiastically endorse CLD's important work!
