If you get a chance, you need to go to one of the ceremonies when the scholarships are handed out.
See the smiles on the faces of the recipients tells a huge story, all in its own.
So many of them are so happy to get any type of assistance that it might mean staying in college.
I encourage all to participate and give want ever you can. It all goes a long way.

Their Spring Gala is one of my favorite events to attend. Seeing the students participate and be part of the program (as well as the beneficiaries) is heart whelming and inspirational. I’m glad I get the opportunity to help them and the College as well. I highly encourage anyone to participate in this event or any of the Foundations programs.
We set up a memorial scholarship several years ago in memory of our daughter. We have had the privilege of helping students year after year make their educational journey a reality. It warms one's heart to know that maybe you have made a difference in someone's life. The Butte College Foundation is an amazing organization which is fully dedicated to the students it serves. I am proud to be a part of it.
Giving Back Tuesday in 2020 was a huge success with the help and change in giving culture of the Butte College staff. This is a picture of my daughter and myself making our individual donations. Even with the Pandemic impacting all outreach programs the Deveopment Team created a very successful Social Media Marketing Program. Congratulations to everyone because the end result is the support of our Community's students and our staff at Butte College.
I am a Butte Glenn Community College Trustee and have witnessed the incredible role the Butte Community College Foundation has played in helping students who lost their family homes and possessions to the devastating 2018 Camp Fire. The Foundation has provided emergency funds, food, scholarships, and other vital assistance to these students. Now, with Covid 19, the Foundation is once again playing a critical role providing emergency assistance to our students coping with distance learning. And yet another devastating fire, the Bear Fire, has added a new challenge to the Foundation, but with their dedication, commitment, and record of success I am confident they will once again make a huge difference to our students.
Butte Community College Foundation is an amazing organization dedicated to "making wishes come true"! My husband and I have donated a scholarship for several years in memory of our daughter. Every year it means so much to us for a deserving student to have the opportunity to make their life a little bit easier.
The Foundation supports the students and entire school community. Our community has been hit with several disasters and the pandemic. Through all of it the Foundation has been on the ground ready to assist the students to overcome as many obstacles as possible to stay in school and be successful.
For the past 28 years I have donated to the Butte College Foundation because I can see the results of their good work. Students are afforded an opportunity to succeed by providing the support to attend Butte College. When our communities were adversely impacted by wild fires and students lost their homes, books, computers, clothes, etc., the Foundation stepped up and helped the impacted students the financial support to find housing and food, and provided computers to those that lost theirs.
The Butte College Foundation is an organization that spends its money to help the students!
