They helped from start to finish. The entire process was thorough but wasn’t overwhelming and they were super helpful along the way. Even helped me save money when communicating about the supplies I was over purchasing to let me know exactly what they would need and not need. They prepared me ahead of time, before meeting our bunnies, during and after the process. Still checking in over a month later to make sure we’re okay and if we had any question. All questions were answered in a timely matter and were very knowledgeable. They really care about the bunnies and what life they will have with their new forever family. I highly recommend!

I have been involved with Attention Deficit Disorders Association-Southern Region for over 2 decades. They have been very helpful to me over the past 2 decades. I have seen ADDA-SR grow & develop, by adding additional ways in which to serve the community in which I live. They now offer resources for conditions that fall under the Autism Spectrum.

My name is Marc Hennessey, and I am an electric violinist and composer. Since 2012, I’ve had the privilege of collaborating with Hope Stone, Inc., beginning with composing a three-movement modern dance piece titled Squared Dancer for their dance company. In February 2014, we performed this piece live at the Wortham Theatre in Houston, Texas, with two shows a day over several days, reaching upwards of 500 children per performance. The audiences wer bused in from elementary schools throughout the diverse region—a testament to Hope Stone’s commitment to bringing the arts to communities that need them most. After the shows, we had a chance to greet the kids in the lobby, sharing in their joy and curiosity.<br><br>One particular performance remains vivid in my mind. I was set up downstage left with my electric violin, layering live loops for the dancers who filled the stage. As I played the intricate first movement, I noticed two young girls in the front row, arms outstretched, almost reaching toward the dancers with an expression that said, “I want to be this with all my heart.” Instantly, I was transported back to my own childhood, remembering the awe I felt during my first symphony orchestra concert on a school field trip—a feeling that shaped my path as a musician. I became so overwhelmed by the realization of what we were giving these kids that I began to cry, my vision blurring as I struggled to stay on cue.<br><br>Throughout that week, Hope Stone made all the kids feel welcome, even hosting a special performance for children with additional needs by dimming the lights, lowering the volume, and adjusting the dancers’ movements. This act of inclusivity spoke volumes about the organization’s heart and the lengths they go to ensure that the arts are accessible to everyone.<br><br>The impact of working with Hope Stone has been profound, connecting my passion for music with a service-oriented purpose that extends beyond the stage. It bridges art and service, opening doors for kids in communities where the arts may not be as visible. Over the years, I’ve returned to Houston for other performances of Squared Dancer, and I even recorded the first movement in a studio with Grammy Award-winning engineers, releasing it as “Dancer Dancer” on the album Bloom. I look forward to the possibility of creating more pieces with Hope Stone, bringing transformative experiences to new generations of young audiences.<br><br>Hope Stone, Inc. is a cornerstone of artistic outreach in Texas, giving thousands of children the opportunity to dream big and explore new horizons through the arts. It is an honor for me to be a small part of their mission.

We are in the process of changing our name to Harris Resources Foundation, supporting the organization, Harris County Resources for Children and Adults. Our focus is still providing support services to enhance the lives of children and adults served by the Harris County Resources, but the focus is on those children and adults who HAVE NOT penetrated the protective service or juvenile probation system--to provide resources to keep them stable, productive and living quality lives. And even those who are in the system, we can offer services to help them transition out and live productive lives. Harris Resources Foundation--A Source of HOPE!! My name is Sebrina and I have worked with the school of pharmacy alumni as a volunteer on several projects. The members are very friendly and professional. The organization is constantly trying to help out pharmacy students and organize events to unify pharmacy alumni members.

This is such an incredible place for men to truly heal and change the course of their lives.

My name is Della Barbato and I am the Director of Education for the Native Prairies Association of Texas. In the past two years, CEC has provided awesome opportunities for the environmental educators in the Houston region. We have had opportunities to stay in touch, discover what other organizations are doing, meet other fabulous educators in the area (via Zoom during pandemic), provide ways to collaborate in teacher workshops, provide forums to teach our material to area teachers, educators and each other; and submit grants with collaborative partners (NPAT is currently involved in 2 awarded grants with CEC and area partners!). I am very grateful for CEC, they have been our glue as environmental educators.<br>

They are now solely Adopt A Cat, Inc. They did a wonderful job back when Spay Houston clinic was open.

Escape facilitated a great session on Discipline not punishment at Spring Woods Middle School last year. It was engaging and applicable. They are a great organization!

Winners Circle is geared to help the families, friends and people just out of prison to network back into society. This program is in prisons and cities in Texas. I have ben working with this group in Abilene since 2002. I started attending in 1997 and have been there since. Currently we are meeting Monday nights at City Light Community Mission, part of First Baptist Church in Abilene, Texas. A Peer Net work Support Group helps encourage the offenders to stay clean and to know there is some one there when the going gets rough.<br>Jorita Hagins

My involvement with the TSA of Texas started in the late 90's. Why? Because I have Tourette (and OCD). However, that is the only reason for my initial involvement with this organization. I have continually become more active, with TSA of Texas, over the years. Why? This organization has such a positive impact on families affected by this disorder through the variety of (free) programs they offer. This includes support groups in the larger cities in Texas, which brings together those families 'battling' this difficult disorder. The organization is exceptional in educating the public (i.e., school districts, law enforcement, etc.). They assist families by providing other resources such as guidance in locating professional help. They offer a weekend camp, held annually, for children with TS to attend. <br>For many TS families, TSA Texas is a last place of hope. <br>

This organization helps the community and the seniors through Health Programs. They are 100% volunteer base staff that contributes their labor and financial support. This organization has over 300 members and growing. This is why I volunteer there to help low income seniors and help with their health needs.

Far and away, the Houston Food Bank is my favorite charity. <br>They achieve so much, for so many, in terms of distributing food to other organizations that then put the food in the hands of those most in need. <br>The amount of food each $1 donate puts on the table is amazing, have a look at their website for yourself.

Teen Health Clinic Baylor College of Mediicineprovides primary care to teen age girls at the county hopsital and sites in the schools and community setting. the Teen Healthclinic is what community outreach should provide. Often we are taught that clinic or community care is haphazard at best takes a long time and doesnt provide the service required. If you want to see how a community clinic can run as a concierge service go to one of the Teen Health Sites. Service is professional timely and accurate with visits performed on time and with a smile. I would like to see this as good in the for profit or even non profit sector. Congratulations to Dr. Peggy Smith and her team for providing this type of service for hte communtiy.

For the past several years I have been involed with the IFMA Foundation as a volunteer, Board of Trustee, executive committee member, Chair and Immediate Past Chair. Established in 1990, the IFMA Foundation is an international, non-profit organization (501 (3) (c) dedicated to advancing facility management and contributing to a more productive, sustainable built environment. <br> <br>Donations to the IFMA Foundaiton support three primary focus areas: Education, Research and Scholarships. <br> * Education is the key to enabling growth and creating job opportunty. <br> * Industry-related research advances knowledge to address current needs and future challenges. <br> * Scholarships support students and practitioners pursuing professional growth and academic excellence. <br> <br>More than 80 cents our of every dollar donated tot he IFMA Foundation goes directly to support it's programs. <br> <br>My involvement with the foundation has shown me that, to the extent we can improve the design, delivery and management of facilities, we can impact the qualtiy of life where we work live and play. Being involved with the IFMA Foudnation has also demonstrated to me what dedicated, passionate people can do to improve the world. The Athena Art Project supports the artist endeavors of women. Each fall they produce a day-long music festival featuring independent women musicians. It takes place in theatrical district in Houston, Texas. Along with a diverse lineup of musical performances, festival goers can also experience great food and beverage as well as shop a vendor market place that features a number of artisans and community organizations. <br> <br>They bring in some great musicians and it's always a lot of fun to see old friends.
