I have been a donor to the Foundation for many years. I not only believe in the mission and vision of the ministry I see it as the best solution to what is going on in our country. I knew the founder personally and have served with John and Carole Adams for many years. I know the integrity and oversight given to the ministry from planning to reporting as well as financial oversight. They have been and continue to be completely transparent and have had a board who has served faithfully for many years. The work that has been accomplished through this organization is to be commended. They have tremendous values and integrity as they seek to restore America to its Biblical Foundations. I have been deeply blessed by Principle Approach Education and highly recommend this vital mission to every Christian family. I give confidently and will continue for many years to come. There is no greater investment to make than into the education of our children. May the Foundation for American Christian Education be blessed with many more years of serving for God's Glory.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend anyone donating to FACE until the leadership is replaced. I read the previous reviews in support of the organization, but they were from individuals that are not familiar with the inner workings of management or the board. I was the Secretary and Treasurer.

I saw how the Adam's refused to provide financial information to the board, how they would raise their salaries 20% annually without board approval (they would not even tell the board what their salaries are for the current year), even though the performance of the operations were declining substantially, and would not allow the board to audit the financial statements.

I saw how they would take unlimited vacations at the Foundations expense. I saw how they would use Foundation money to improve their own personal property.

I saw how they would invite an outside consultant at $5,000 a day to provide advice, and then would not follow his recommendations. (For example, he said the greatest treat to the life of the organization is that there is no successor. Carol refused to devote any time to cultivating staff to assume the leadership position once she was no longer able or willing to perform her duties.

I saw how the leadership would change the mission of the organization, without board input or approval. The mission changed from desiring to expand the use of the Principle Approach in schools and home schools across the country, to simply being a steward of the library of resources gathered by the founders. They have given up on truly seeking to restore our nation. Instead, they want to live off of the donations that have been received through the efforts of the founders.

I am truly saddened by the current state of FACE and pray continually that the Lord will remove the organization from their hands ahnd place it into the hands of someone that will, not only steward the existing resources, but will fulfill the vision of the founders to use them to restore our nation.

Prior to discovering FACE eight years ago and their outstanding teaching materials & methodology, I taught History in a high school in California and later in a small private school in Tennessee. There is absolutely nothing I have found in curricula that comes close to the depth and quality of the Principle Approach in educating children. I have now attended three FACE workshops; last two were lead by Carole Adams. She inspired me to become proficient in teaching the PA which I am going to use with my grandchildren. I love the way strong character, courage and integrity are developed in students and reinforced through the subject matter and methods of application of the material.

The Foundation for American Christian Education has been the main source of inspiration for educating my children in an American Christian philosophy of education and for teaching our family to reason Biblically from principles in all areas of our life. We therefore consider it a life-long blessing to support the Foundation financially with full confidence. It has always amazed us that the leadership did so much with so little and has managed to operate for nearly fifty years in an essential mission.

I have given to this great organization on a regular basis for many years. I have complete confidence in their ability to provide material for teachers and students. They are conservative in their budgets, spending and cost controls. Wonderful staff, great training and leaders with character.

It has been my privilege to support, pray for and contribute to this one-of-a-kind ministry for over fifteen years. My life and the lives of many around me have been abundantly blessed because two women followed their calling and because another laid down her life to perpetuate it. John and Carole Adams carry on the noble vision of restoring Christian self-government in our nation through education, with integrity and diligence. Serving as the CFO, Mr. Adams is meticulous in documenting and reporting the expenses and income of the Foundation. The organization’s transparency with their donor base offers a sound opportunity for anyone who desires to invest in the future of our nation. The mission of FACE coupled with the structure of the organization and the leadership team provides an atmosphere for this fifty plus year ministry to flourish and impact more lives in the next generation. Thank you FACE leaders and staff for your continued vision and perseverance to restore and safeguard liberty in our great nation.

I am a major donor for over ten years and believe in and value the mission of this organization. We have seen first hand the careful management of the organization to accomplish its mission. As an old friend of the founder of FACE I value the commitment of the organization to adhere to the original focus and continually integrate that into today's new technology and communication. The present leadership was selected and mentored by the original founders and understands and stewards the mission successfully. I plan to continue my longterm support of this important work.

I am a member of the public and a past Board member, and have also been actively involved as a volunteer to promote and support the mission of the FACE organization. I am a firm believer in the Principle Approach philosophy and method as the only means to teach children to think and reason Biblically. I also became a substantial financial supporter of the organization and its stated mission. I was dissatisfied with the way my funds were administered and made the decision to withdraw them after many failed attempts to receive a concise accounting of them.

As a member of the Board, I repeatedly asked for financial reports that would enable me to exercise proper financial oversight in my role, but this was never provided for me to my satisfaction. I had asked for a copy of the organization's Bylaws to be distributed to all the Board members so we could discuss them, as they were not being followed as written. This discussion was grudgingly begun, but never finished-- John and Carole Adams repeatedly accused me of trying to have the Board micromanage them and the foundation. I also asked repeatedly for an audit of the foundation when I realized the Foundation was operating in the red consistently. This request was dismissed as not being necessary and too expensive to pursue. The final result of all these requests was to inform me that 'some Board members' had requested I be removed from the Board, so I chose to resign rather than be voted off.

Serious ethical issues must be addressed about members of the board as well as those responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial decisions of this organization. I feel strongly that the Principle Approach education system is the best educational program that exists, but do not believe those in the organization are abiding by corret morals and principles.

FACE has truly identified the solution to restoring Christian character in America through the Principle Approach method of teaching and learning. However, internally, the organization functions very poorly in terms of accountability, transparency, and stewardship. The operational leadership does not provide the appropriate financial information to the Board of Directors, which really functions more as a source of friendly encouragement rather than fulfilling its role as steward. Efforts by certain board members to establish systems of accountability and transparency are rejected, such as requesting independent audits and salary reviews, approval of fund usage, and adherance to the stated mission.

The organization does not follow the ECFA Standards and Best Practices, although being very familiar with them. It really acts more like a private entity rather than a public charity, with donated funds solely directed by the Pressident and Vice President (Carole and John Adams), including setting their own compensation (which is quite substantial). Until authority over the organization is placed in the hands of a true Board of Directors and the board fulfills its fiduciary duties, I would not recommend donating money.
