(I believe the EIN has also been changed). <br> <br>I fondly remember the many, many trips my mom Frances and I would take during the summers of my boyhood by public transportation from our home in Old North St. Louis to the zoo. Back then (the late 1950s/early 1960s), the zoo was more about entertainment then education (as was true of most zoos back then) and while the animal enclosures would allow you to get "up close and personal" with many of the animals, they were really not the best for the animals' wellbeing. <br> <br>A lot has changed since then, and today the Zoo's animals enjoy much more roomy and natural habitats and the Zoo emphasizes educating people on the perilous state many animals find themselves in in the wild. The Saint Louis Zoo is one of the most consistently highly rated and popular zoos in the USA and (unusual for a zoo of its caliber, admission is FREE). While it receives taxpayer funding, it relies heavily on individual contributors and the Saint Louis Zoo Association is a nonprofit organization that provides much needed support.

Was desperately trying to find a home for my 80-year-old mother's cat. Her only income is Social Security. Gave details of situation in email to them. Made mention that she was selling her house and couldn't take the cat with her. THEY SAID THEY WOULD TAKE THE CAT IF WE PAID THEM $3,000 AND THAT THEY TYPICALLY DON'T ADOPT CATS OUT!!!!! NO MISTAKE on the amount or adoption comment - I know how many zeroes represent a thousand. Need proof for this ridiculous claim? To care for a young cat for its entire life, which is what we do (we typically do not adopt out), is $3000. I know that seems like a lot up front but if you divide that over 16-18 years it's $160 per year. If this is something you'd like to do, please let us know.<br>

The Resource Center has been our lifeline as we navigate our child's Fragile X diagnosis. The Resource Center helps raise funds for a cure, and also, hosts events and outings for Fragile X families. Raising a child with disabilities has been the most difficult challenge of my life, and I am thankful to have found the Resource Center. We need more people to hear about Fragile X, so more funding can go towards finding a cure. We need more awareness so that events and businesses create environments that are welcoming to individuals with Fragile X. The Resource Center is our catalyst towards making this a reality! Please, strongly consider donating to the Resource Center. They directly impact the Fragile X community in a positive way!

I have been donating to the St. Louis Society For the Blind and Visually Impaired for quite some time now. They provide services to adults and children to help them adapt to their blindness or limited vision; regular social activities so that their clients do not feel isolated; and host a support group for the newly blind or impaired to help them deal with their feelings and emotions about their affliction. The Society does not receive government grants (although they are contracted by the state to provide certain services, they are not reimbursed the full value of what they do). They are very reasonable in the number of appeals they send out, consisting of a quarterly newsletter with an envelope to use to make a donation, and one or two separate additional solicitations each year. They recognize their donors in the newsletter and annual report.

The Moog Center is outstanding. As an alumna, bilateral cochlear implant user, and now a practicing Speech Language Pathologist I am incredibly thankful for Moog. What sets Moog apart is the highly individualized therapy and the use of advanced and current research. Moog has a unique team of teachers, audiologists and administration who are highly invested in the lives and success of their students. Moog does a wonderful job of partnering with parents and families to achieve a students' absolute best both in and out of the classroom.

I have been hung up on first my ex husband tried kill me I was chased in car flipped upside down put in mental ward all by a man who raped kidnapped his last fiancé beat best friend in head with hammer he had 999 years out 25 i been beat up and ignored by this program it should be called dead not alive this is sad and very upsetting I’m homeless hurt abused and have no one to turn to this is the most hurtful slap in face I’m lost with no help

I attended the event sponsored by Circle of Light on October 10th and I must say it was awesome. It was a Free giveaway of household items and free food. Wow! The community came out in record numbers. I saw a lot of young people working together which did my heart good. I'm proud to have attended the event and even more proud to report that there were no negative incidents. Again...Awesome.

Great provider of health and community programs. I have attended several events that funded cancer, cardiac and behavioral health - always great to see such large organizations making a commitment to provide for their communities.<br>

Lydia's House provides such a great opportunity for abused women and children to recover and heal and become empowered and successful. The staff is very dedicated to helping where they are most needed. Thank you Lydia's House!!!

My daughter has been singing with the SLCC for 8 years and it is an unparalleled organization for young singers. Not only has the experience been life-changing for her, it has also been phenomenal for me as a parent to witness the development of her character along with top-notch music training. In addition, I have served as a volunteer on many levels and can say without reservation that the entire staff practices what they preach as far as integrity, kindness, honesty, and excellence in every area. Best investment we have ever made!

I was in the training program the latter 1980's. NLEC helped me out a great deal. I was there for 3 years. I learned Broadcasting in the training program. I left to work at a TV station. I continue to work in Broadcasting. The training "stuck" with me. Thanks NLEC

I am not only an avid volunteer at Green Park Lutheran School, I am also a parent of a student who attends. Over the past years I have served in various capacities - most recently as PTO president. The teachers and staff were always so grateful of all of the things PTO was able to accomplish. They were especially excited when we were able to add to their yearly classroom budgets - allowing them to buy more resources for the children in their classes. We spent time and money updating the technology available to the children because the school recognizes the critical importance of children having technology at their fingertips and knowing how to navigate the new media landscapes. Making a difference through volunteering is one thing, but it is quite another when you are able to work with such an amazing group of people who are dedicated to the quality of education - it makes the experience so much more gratifying. I'm so grateful that my child is a part of such a wonderful community of Christian educators and staff who are dedicated to educational excellence and are continually raising the bar on it as well!

I became aware of Safe Connections and the work it does in the Saint Louis region when invited to an educational and fundraising luncheon 8 years ago by a friend. I became so inspired by what they are doing to help women, men, and teens before, during and after someone experiences relationship violence, sexual assault, teen dating abuse or childhood sexual abuse that I have become an annual donor to the organization. <br> <br>As an Ob/Gyn, I am thrilled to have Safe Connections as a resource to be able to refer patients for free, non-insurance-based support and therapy and I do so regularly. <br> <br>I have full confidence in Safe Connections' leadership, staff and board and their commitment to the highest professional, ethical and fiscal standards for the use of the funds I donate.

CHAMP far EXCEEDED my expectations of what a therapy dog/team can do. Their training is intense , but always upbeat. The populations they serve and opportunities for service are seemingly limitless. I am so proud to be a member of this organization which does do much for so many on so little. My dog and I work in hospice, adult day care, and head injury rehab - all very different facilities, and CHAMP's training has given us confidence to excel in all these arenas.

I am so excited to have a unique organization like the Father's Support Center working in our area. Their mission to help mend and strengthen broken families through relationship building with missing father's cannot be overstated or underestimated. The social, emotional, and economic health of a community is in direct correlation to the state of its families. If we want stronger communities we must not ignore its fundamental component - the family. The children that benefit from this effort help to make us better socially and economically, both now and far into the future. Three years ago, as I completed a graduate degree in Professional Counseling, making a career change, I first explored St. Louis Psychoanalytic Institute's psychotherapy training offerings. I have since been a donor and member of this extraordinary learning community, in which my intellect and deeper capacities to serve others have been engaged and enriched. In Institute training programs and other community offerings, in countless encounters with genuine and respectful faculty and staff, I have been helped to see new possibilities for my professional life. Likewise, in personal therapy with a dedicated and skillful Institute clinician, I am experiencing not only a career change, I am enjoying the change of my life.

My 1st grader graduated from the same outstanding preschool program in which my youngest now participates. I LOVE this place. They listen and respond to my concerns. The teachers are AMAZING and the kids - well the kids make my day every day. I have volunteered here and been served here and have attended fundraising events. They are just wonderful wonderful wonderful.

The JCC is a top notch organization. The facilities are second to none and the staff is warm, welcoming and inviting. I feel like an actual "member" of the community and not just a customer.
