As a donor and supporter of Lisa Bain Ministries, I feel really confident about where my dollars are going and who they’re helping. I get updates, I stay in the loop, and I’ve even been able to witness the people and lives helped. That matters to me. Many organizations talk about transparency, but this ministry truly lives it out. Their honesty and openness have been a breath of fresh air. Giving is important, but seeing the impact with your own eyes is something else entirely. They are making a real difference in our community, and I’m genuinely proud to support Lisa Bain Ministries with both my giving and my time.

Soldiers Wish is a fantastic organization with a heart of gold for our military community. I’ve witnessed several wishes granted by them at different events, and have joined them as a volunteer at specific events because of their mission and the impact on our community.<br> <br>Although not a veteran myself, I have two sons - one a retired Army veteran and one still serving in the OK Army National Guard. My wife and I have taken part with multiple organizations honoring military service over the past 20+ years and we migrate to those that make lasting impacts and contributions. <br><br>Soldiers Wish is one of those at the top of our list. <br><br><br>R Bender

Little Light House is changing the lives of children with special needs DAILY! Nothing compares to walking through the hallways of LLH and watching students play, laugh, reach new milestones, and be loved the way Jesus loves them. LLH is truly the gem of Tulsa, and in my opinion, the real 'happiest place on earth'.

CPO Tulsa is a wonderful organization. It is full of caring people trying their very best to help women and children in their difficult times. Women are supported in their choice to place for adoption or parent a child. They offer counseling, support groups, a boutique to shop for supplies and much, much more for free to all who come through the program. I’ve been volunteering for them for over a decade and I’ve seen countless women and children get the help they need.

Lisa and her Mom founded Joy in the Cause. They helped our family for months when my husband was in the hospital. The board and staff made changes ih the Organization that were completely contrary to what they started. We watched them blurr the lines to make people believe Lisa was still there. So sad they keep Marvis Pearl as there mascot . Please do your research before using this Organization.

I never realized how important a dedicated grief center was, until I experienced multiple losses that left me struggling to function. The support of my counselor was so valuable. She helped me process and understand my feelings, talk through what had happened until I no longer needed to. I was able to create a new life without my precious people here. It would have been so much more difficult without them. This is an amazing non-profit. Knowing that they don’t receive any government help, but make it only on grants and donations, makes them all the more amazing. Tulsa is lucky to have them.

I have nothing but kind words to say about OPA. Staff members are warm and welcoming. My daughter loves attending her classes and comes home smiling. I can tell that the teachers love what they do and that my daughter is receiving excellent guidance. She has joined different performing arts studios in the past and she is the most happy, here. I'm so grateful that I'm able to enroll my daughter in so many classes due to the affordability of lessons.

I don’t like this organization because they treat my friend like crap and say things that are hurtful and not true. This isn’t a Christian program if you only have to get 1 hug a day and can’t be friends with teachers. It’s okay as long there is no favoritism is in play or being inappropriate. Like come on

I adopted a dog from here that became aggressive towards my family and I had to bring her back which broke my heart. Instead of being understanding they went on social media and publicly shamed my family for bringing her back and lied about why we did. I have been in the vet industry for a long time and have a long history of taking care of animals and finding them good homes. I will not adopt from here for fear of being shamed by the people that work here. They are highly unprofessional, dishonest and judgmental. It’s a shame because the dogs they care for deserve better.

A few years ago, in my neighborhood there was a stray female Pitty that was running loose for some time. Sweet as can be but a neighbor didn’t like her hanging around his chicken coop and he shot her, bullet grazing down her spine. Animal Aid was absolutely amazing. They picked her up and got her completely taken care of and back to health. They were so kind and kept in contact before picking her up even kept me updated with her progress to recovery. She had the sweetest ending though, months after Bryleigh was taken in by Animal Aid, A girl had contacted me regarding a “Found” post of Bryleigh I had posted before she went to Animal Aid. Come to find out, Bryleigh was her dog and she had been missing for 2 years! Bryleigh was able to be reunited with her owner! Because of Animal Aid of Tulsa, Bryleigh got a second chance on life and got to go home safe and sound.

This program for first time teen moms is needed in our community. Many of the teen moms need the housing and safety to thrive and to be able to nurture their infants while attending High School. Ahigh school diploma is their first step to a successful future.

King Ministries is amazing in the work that they do globally to reach everyone for the Gospel of Christ! I would highly recommend this ministry and all that they do. Whether you believe in God or not, they will greatly impact you for the better and everyone who comes into contact with them will walk away blessed.

I adopted a German Shepherd from this organization almost 2 years ago. I have fallen in love with the breed. I have since became a volunteer and gone on several pick up from kill shelters, dogs thrown out of moving cars and even starving cases. It is easy to stand on the side lines and judge a nonprofit. They rescued and adopted 300 dogs last year alone. That’s 300 dogs who have loving homes and are now safe and loved. People have your pet spayed or neutered.

I have volunteered often before and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Their volunteer coordinator is first-rate! She hooked me up with many different ways to help. I have done work in and outside CAP schools, read to their classes, helped with summer programming like little bicycles without pedals, and brought tangible donations like children's books and clothing. I might even be able to play music!

"Pit Inc Rescue is a 501(C)(3) nonprofit organization ran 100% by a singular individual. The owner of the rescue, Lisa, does not make a cent of the money and never will, which is what a volunteer organization is all about. The rescue also has a few volunteers that help with fostering occasionally, but that is rare. <br> <br>The rescue relies heavily on donations from the public in order to continue their mission, which is -rescue, rehabilitate, and place in a forever home. the bully breed that Lisa has rescued herself (oftentimes putting herself in danger) from directly off the streets. Lisa has had a love of the Bully Breed for over 25 years, her goal is to change the Perception the public has of breed. That is the most misunderstood and abused nationwide

when i needed help someone picked me up and took me to this church/shelter because i wasn't doing so good even thought i was doing something to better myself at the time. This church provided even more help then one could ask for during time of time of need and helping me achieve my goal when i was homeless.

Techlahoma has been, without question, one of the best organizations I have been a part of. I have never seen so many people so dedicated to helping their community continue to grow.<br><br>I joined in March of 2021 while transitioning careers. Immediately after joining, I was welcomed with open arms. More than that, I was encouraged to participate. A more established member reached out to me and asked me to give a lightning talk (which is an online presentation approximately 10 minutes in length). This senior member has basically become my mentor with the amount that she has pushed me to grow. She somehow finds the time to help me and all others that are needing help.<br><br>It's also a very active community. Unlike other large communities I have been a part of, there are people posting in Slack every day. There are constantly meetups for people to casually chat with other members. Techlahoma is also involved in the larger community events, whether its in partnership as with the OKC tech ++ events or its an organizer as with the Thunder Plains event.<br><br>If you are in Oklahoma and are in tech, interested in tech, or just want to be part of a fantastic community, I cannot recommend Techlahoma highly enough.

Homelessness continues to be a struggle in Tulsa. The Tulsa Day center offers essential services to the homeless throughout the Tulsa community. Our team at Tulsa Security Task Force encounter the homeless almost nightly and do our best to guide those seeking resources to the Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless.

Our team at Tulsa Security Task Force has provided security services for some of the Tulsa area apartments managed by Tulsa Mental Health Association. Without the care and support of this great organization so many of the needs of Tulsa's mental health community would not be met.

We visited the Mainsprings campus in July 2019. It was an amazing experience. The campus is a center of learning and caring in the village of Kitongo. The permaculture initiatives are impressive in terms of outreach to the entire extended community. The residence for poor or uncared for girls is life changing for the girls. We loved the Mainsprings continues to guide and support girls even after they leave campus and begin their adult lives at age 18. The school provides an education for the girl residents as well as children in the surrounding community. Mainsprings does so much for so many. Chris Gates, CEO, and his team are changing the world in a high quality, caring way. Mainsprings can be trusted as good shepards of donations to this well run non-profit organization.

I was given a list of counseling non profits to call by my lender. Quick cert was the first I called on the list. I made an appointment, but because they couldn't schedule me quickly enough I called another nonprofit to see if I could get my certification sooner. I found out that the government gave all of these nonprofits funds to offer their services for free. I took their offer, and called Quick Cert back the same day to cancel. I didn't find out until my credit card statement came that Quick Cert still charged me $125 for a service I never received. Calling them for a refund fell on deaf ears, as I found out the same thing happened to dozens of other unsatisfied customers. <br>This is a horrible place that took the government money to provide free services, but still charged, and also kept my money after I called to cancel. Just horrible people who don't answer their phones.

My reason for scoring this Organization are for these reason: <br><br>1. Lack of prompt returns calls or no return calls when needed. <br><br>2. Answering machine is often used. <br><br>3. Money was shown to be the major factor for the organization (rather or not in fact it has I do not know, however all calls started with money and ended with why no money) . <br><br>4.No return calls, yet my account was being debit. <br><br>5. The selected attorney JC interrogated me treated me with coldness and harsh inspection. <br><br>6. Attorney JC method and process towards me was very disturbing and counter -productive. <br><br>7. I complained the lawyer that was given" is cold hearted, his approach is counter to what I am looking for. <br><br>8. I was never advise nor was there any strategy exchange amongst the attorney (JC) and myself. I asked " How should I plan"? He stated "defend what you told me". Hello! Why am I paying you! <br><br>9. My attorney (JC) conversed with my opponent and I was charge a fee, my attorney should have directed my opponent to a court clerk to explain whatever. <br><br>10. I was asked to call the court clerk to request a form needed to be filed. <br><br>11. The judge said it was " the wrong form". Case closed, I lost when in fact it my opponent was . already held in contempt of court for 11 years! <br><br>12. Yet, I am being billed, for months on no end and no one has shown me what has been spent on my case. <br><br>13. Complaint person Mr. S, calls with a greeting, not because of my phone message or email, but because I argued the bank drafting, because of no returns calls, no updating on how the retainer is being spent, no statements at all. <br><br>14. they have to answer to for the purpose of showing accountability, this service is VERY unprofessional. <br><br>17. Finally they scan and email the statements( due to a dispute, which was/is needed. I have a right to have oversight and have checks and balance in place. <br><br>18. this day NO response, NO Nov statement. <br><br>19. This is a major set back

In 2007 I adopted my male Bichon from Small Paws, who was approx. 10 months old. The organization had him vetted, treated for heartworms, and fixed. Trooper was my first Bichon, and second rescue pup... which turned out to be the best companion. Trooper is now approx. 13 years old and healthy as a horse, excluding a little arthritis. Never had ANY health issues, not even an ear infection since I adopted him. We love him dearly, and I would def recommend adopting from Small Paws Rescue!! They really care about the rescues, and make the effort to place them in permanent, loving and safe homes.

This LMS support group means so much to me. After being diagnosed with this rare cancer, I felt so desperate, alone and scared till I found this group.<br>Here questions were asked that were my questions and concerns and the answers were so empathic and to the point. I would not be where I am now without the support of this group, I feel so grateful, Thank you!
