I am a recipient of the Swami Dayanand Education Foundation scholarship. Despite doing well in academics, being in general category, it is often very difficult to find a authentic organization providing scholarship. SDEF is one of those such organizations which are doing that good work from years. This scholarship financially aided me to pay college fee. Thankful to receive the scholarship.

U&I provides broader platform to youth learn about their communities and bond with fellow youth volunteers fostering positive mindset and growth with values and spirit of volunteerism.

CareForBrains is actually so good. The podcasts are short and easy to understand. They explain mental health topics in a way that makes sense and keeps it real. It’s cool how teens get to lead projects and make a real impact. I’m proud to be part of it.

Over the 60 year history of this organization, they have put serving people and serving God at the forefront of all they do. I have been incredibly impressed with how they have evolved over the past ten years to not just provide services to hospitals and clinics, but truly come alongside to create sustainable strategies that will serve the people of Malawi, Kenya and more for the next many decades. They continue to partner with nursing schools to train and equip men and women to serve their communities as nurses... often times the nurse is the only medical professional available. Today, hundreds of people are serving patients throughout Haiti, Malawi, Kenya, DR Congo and in the middle east. I am honored to be associated with MBF!

Love serving with this nonprofit to provide new shoes and socks to school age kids that need them badly. Some who have never had a new pair of shoes! The smiles on their faces when they get to choose a pair that they love is priceless!!!

Our Church went with AL because we needed to assess where we were as a church on equipping disciples. We realized that we had some concepts and ideas, but no tangible on-ramps to help people get going and get moving. The REVEAL study Ascending Leaders conducted showed us this. We learned a lot about ourselves. It was challenging and sobering. We have implanted some new practices and have seen some improvement. We look forward to taking the study again with AL to see our progress. Would recommend Ascending Leaders to anyone looking to get a watermark on where discipleship TRULY is in their life and church, and want ways to roll up their sleeves and help practically. H43 Outstanding organization. They have supported my family through one of the most difficult times when I found out my son had Autism; he was 3 years old. They provided comfort and support and helped me to find the right services for my Son and helped me get started with ABA , OT, Speech Therapy. The Music Therapy Center of Houston does amazing work. I have seen the eyes of non-verbal child light up when exposed to music. The therapies work and the staff is top notch. I have never seen such a group committed to helping others through music. I will continue to support this group and all that they do.

StarSkaters Sled Hockey did so much for me and my family. I started as the father of a disabled son who had an interest in hockey and we quickly became a regular and volunteer as well. When we started out by coming to the ice rink on Saturday, we barely missed another Saturday for a couple of years. We handled equipment, we put together a system and helped build the equipment storage room and it was a full 2 years of activity, travel and fun for all involved. Jim and Lilia made us a part of a family and it became a social life for our entire family. The level of experience, competition and activities were always the best and although we have moved on from that time, it remains as one of the best times in our lives. My son has really grown through the years and so much of that is thanks to StarSkaters Hockey and Jim. They help so many and even with the team getting better and better and growing on the ice, there was always an open door for anyone with disabilities wanting to try ice hockey or even ice skate. This organization gives to a huge community and it is ever expanding. We would have regulars driving over every Saturday from Beaumont/Port Arthur Victoria and many other communities because of what Star Skaters offered, free of charge and we were honored to have been a part of it. And truly hope that our health and time improves to the point that we could once again, get involved.

This foundation works very hard to create RMC Awareness. They provide emotional and financial support to adolescents and young adults that have been diagnosed with RMC.

SSLW is filled with wonderful people blessing our community. I have the pleasure of knowing the founders Mr. and Mrs. Austin and am infinitely grateful for everything they have done in myself and family's lives. I pray SSLW continues to grow, extend their love to everyone, and bless the hearts of people who need it the most. Thank you SSLW for being awesome.

I am inspired to give by forever 5 month old, Zoey Isadora Dockal, and her amazing family. Zoey was born on June 14, 2011. In November 2011, she was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a rare form of liver cancer. After a month long battle of surgeries (including a liver transplant), procedures and chemo treatments, Zoey passed away on December 8, 2011 six days shy of her 6 month birthday. Zoey was a beautiful girl with a big smile and a strong will to fight. She has inspired so many, those that knew her as well as those who never met her but came to know her story.<br>Zoey&rsquo;s legacy lives on through a non-profit organization named in her memory, Zoey&rsquo;s Angels. Zoey&rsquo;s Angels was born from the love and support that Zoey&rsquo;s family received when she became an angel. They wanted to offer that same support to others who also lost an infant. Zoey&rsquo;s mommy and daddy, Gina and Mike, are my dear friends. I was honored to be a founding board member of this organization. Though I have moved from Houston and no longer serve on the board, I continue to give back by helping with Zoey&rsquo;s Angels&rsquo; social media, traveling back to Houston for their events when possible, and securing/making monetary donations.<br>So far Zoey&rsquo;s Angels has given back to 10 families who have also lost an infant after a lengthy hospital stay with a $5,000 contribution each, a total of $50,000 since its inception. Zoey&rsquo;s Angels hopes that this significant financial contribution can help them focus on the grieving and healing process instead of worrying about medical bills, funeral costs, and other related financial burdens that carried over from a lengthy hospital stay. These families are also given a priceless connection to other families that have fought the same battle &ndash; someone to connect with that actually understands what they are experiencing now and along their lifelong journey. <br>www.zoeysangels.org<br>

They do not spend money wisely. No a pleasant place to volunteer.

I met the folks who run the MINTS office a few months ago. They were needing a website and I do websites. I spent an afternoon with them. Real people living real lives. Nothing fancy. Their vision is clear and well defined, and, as far as I can tell, they live sacrificially for the sake of their calling. I was impressed enough to offer to do their website free of charge. The MINTS vision is making solid, stable churches a possibility all over the world!

Samskriti is a very unusual arts organization. It not only presents outstanding Indian and non-Indian artists (in an Indian context), but it is the only arts organization in Texas that conducts annual conferences on a variety of art subjects, in collaboration with the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Samskriti's artistic track record is very strong and commendable, and it has survived for nearly 16 years, constantly serving the arts to the best of its ability.
