The C20 Working Group on Gender Equality and Women Empowerment has been greatly enriched through the invaluable partnership of CCS, which played a pivotal role in shaping the discussions and dialogues on themes related to education and skill development. Their commitment to advancing gender equality and women's empowerment has been instrumental in driving policy discussions and fostering meaningful dialogues on pressing issues. Through their expertise, CCS provided plausible inputs and engage a diverse range of stakeholders in productive conversations. CCS has not only lent their knowledge but have also amplified the collective voice, bringing together experts and advocates to create a more inclusive and equitable society. This partnership exemplifies the power of collaboration in advancing the cause of gender equality and women's empowerment, underscoring the importance of diverse organizations working together to create a more just and equitable world. On a personal note, it was so easy and comfortable to work with the CCS, given their understanding of details and adaptive to manage crisis. We look forward to future collaborations.
CCS taught me how to look at issues differently from what is obvious - how we can have exponential social change through better policies. This is so much needed as the whole country works to a $ 30 trillion, inclusive economy.
I had the privilege of participating in the Jeevika project under the auspices of the Centre of Civil Society. This initiative is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by street vendors through the implementation of a specialized mobile application. My role as an on-field researcher involved engaging with street vendors, comprehending their concerns, and utilizing the Jeevika app to facilitate resolution.
Jeevika serves as a pivotal intervention for the street vendor community, providing an accessible and efficient platform for grievance redressal. The user-friendly interface of the application ensures widespread accessibility, fostering inclusivity. The collaborative ethos within the team, coupled with a genuine commitment to effecting positive change, is a hallmark of the project's success.
Participating in this endeavor instilled in me a sense of purpose, as the Jeevika app not only amplifies the voices of street vendors but also expedites solutions to their challenges, thereby contributing to an improved quality of life. The familial atmosphere within the Centre of Civil Society team underscores the collective dedication to the project's overarching objectives.
My association with Jeevika has been a fulfilling experience, as it transcends the mere functionality of an application, symbolizing a potent instrument for societal betterment. The project epitomizes a commitment to compassion, resilience, and transformative impact. I take pride in contributing to a team that is actively shaping positive change through the invaluable medium of Jeevika.
I have the chance to learn about the issues and concerns that street vendors experience because to CCS. I received a call one day from a street vendor who was having legal problems with MCD. I advised the vendor on his legal options. After that, I also think that a little assistance to a street vendor from a lower class can have a significant impact on society.
My name is Mohd Shavez, and I have had the privilege of being a volunteer with CCS for the past two years. I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt feedback regarding my experience, specifically in the Jeevika Project.
My journey with CCS has been nothing short of outstanding. The work that CCS does is truly commendable, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be a part of their mission. The Jeevika Project, in particular, stands out as a remarkable initiative aimed at safeguarding the rights of street vendors and protecting them from harassment by the authorities.
Over the past two years, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication and passion that the entire CCS team brings to this project. The impact of the Jeevika Project is evident, and I am proud to be associated with an organization that is making a significant difference in the lives of street vendors.
I want to express my gratitude to the entire CCS team for providing me with this opportunity to contribute to such a noble cause. It has been a truly enriching experience, and I look forward to continuing my journey with CCS and the Jeevika Project.
Thank you for your tireless efforts and the difference you make in the community. CCS's commitment to social justice is truly inspiring, and I am excited to be a part of this incredible journey.
My experience as a Jeevika intern at the Centre for Civil Society over the past year. It has been an incredible journey, and I believe that the work we are doing is making a real difference in the lives of street vendors.
My time as an intern has been a period of significant personal and professional growth. I've learned so much about the challenges faced by street vendors and how we can support them effectively. The CCS's cheerful ambience, togetherness, and eagerness to contribute to society through public policy is an extraordinary accomplishment, which I enjoyed through volunteering here.
Centre for Civil Society has changed my thinking about how the free market concept is important for street vendors to earn their livelihood with dignity. Their pilot project Jeevika did change the lives of hundreds and thousands of street vendors in Jaipur, Rajasthan. I hope to see many such experiments/ pilots from them.
I am writing to express my sincere appreciation for the Centre for Civil Society (CCS). My organization, Students For Liberty (SFL), has been an international partner of CCS, and it is from a 5-year experience that I'm writing this review. In short, I have always been impressed by their commitment to intellectual excellence, their dedication to promoting classical liberal values & sound market-economics, and their willingness to support the work of students and young professionals.
CCS played a vital role in supporting/nurturing the Indian Liberal movement, including the student movement in India. The IndianLiberals.in and Azadi.me projects are good examples. As for SFL, CCS' assistance started at the very inception of our South Asian chapter in 2014. Most of the founding members were either CCS interns or CCS alumni. CCS has constantly provided SFL students with immense resources, including speakers, materials, goodies, training opportunities, courses, etc. They have also hosted many SFL students at their events, including conferences, seminars, and workshops. CCS has been a true intellectual home for the classical liberal students of SFL India.
I highly recommend CCS to any individual or organization that is interested in partnering with Indian non-profits for research, advocacy and policy recommendations. CCS is, without doubt, a world-class Indian think tank that is doing unique work to advance the cause of individual liberty, responsibility and sound market economics.
