In just 8 years The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation has met and spoken to over 250,000 students of all ages, as well as thousands of law enforcement officers across the country. For an organization to make this big of an impact without any national recognition or major funding is extremely difficult, and is a testament to the level of dedication and sacrifice that this foundation makes to make sure that people are able to hear their message and learn more about Keri Anne and who she was. I am grateful to have to have been a part of the foundation from the beginning and see just how far it has come.
I am so happy and honored to have been apart of this extraordinary foundation. Immediately upon meeting and working with them I felt welcomed into their family. This organization has helped me grow and not only made an impact on my life but on the lives of our community as a whole. They are well equipped with the resources and knowledge to help make a change and do so with a passion that inspires many.
What a great cause to raise awareness of the dangers of driving impaired. Hopefully it will prevent other very special people from being taken from this world prematurely.
Mr. Bill Demott and his family work tirelessly to teach and educate people on the dangers and tragedies of impaired driving. My family has had the pleasure of knowing the DeMott family for several years. What Bill and the family have done to educate, prevent, and advocate for impaired/distracted driving is absolutely first class. Their message has been well received by our children and they are doing great things to help prevent young children and adults from making life altering decisions that will impact them and others in their community.
I had the privilege of hearing Bill DeMott speak to 142- 5th graders during their FOCUS graduation at Partin Elementary School on November 16, 2018. He spoke to the students in a way they could all relate. His message touched so many of us not only the students, but also the adults who attended. His message to them, “The decisions we make today determine the stories told about us tomorrow.” This message will be with me forever! Thank you DeMott family for continuing to make a difference and sharing Keri Anne’s story all over the country.
The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation has not only reignited my passion for traffic related crimes but has also aided in my education to become a better police officer. This foundation has more passion for officers and their line of work than any other I have been involved in. I am committed to making the roadways safer after hearing the tragic story of this amazing family!
As a parent of 2 teenagers, I'm very concerned about my kids driving; let alone driving with drunks on the road. The Keri Anne DeMott Foundation goes out to tell everyone that every choice they make matters; not only for them, but for many families that will be affected by the poor choice of 1 individual.
Despite suffering an immense tragedy, this family stepped up and said NO MORE!
I admire their strength and courage. I personally would have crumpled.
