As Co-Chair to the Party in the Park held annually in September, we have raised funds to support our program IGNITE which helps students in San Diego develop skills that will give them the opportunity to work in the automotive field. The exhibits that rotate within the museum are always impressive & the library is available to the public with a vast amount of books and resources for the car enthusiasts.

The Autism Research Institute has been an invaluable resource. Their extensive library of evidence-based research, practical guides, and educational materials has helped us better understand and support our loved ones with autism.<br><br>What sets ARI apart is their comprehensive approach - from sharing the latest scientific findings to offering practical daily living strategies. Their webinars featuring expert speakers have provided us actionable insights we've been able to implement at home.<br><br>I appreciate how they make complex research accessible while maintaining scientific integrity. Their focus on individualized approaches acknowledges that each person with autism has unique needs.

I’ve had the pleasure of observing and supporting SDCYB over the past year, and I am thoroughly impressed with the impact they have on young dancers and the broader community. This organization stands out for its commitment to fostering artistic growth, discipline, and confidence in youth through the art of dance. What makes them exceptional is: <br> <br>1. Focus on Personal Growth <br>Beyond technique, SDBYC emphasizes the personal development of each dancer. The values of discipline, teamwork, and resilience are instilled in every class and performance opportunity. Many parents and students have commented on how these skills translate into other areas of their lives, from academic achievement to personal confidence.

I have had nothing but positive things to say about PFLAG San Diego County. They support, educate, and advocate on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. I am very grateful.

Poor behavior from staff and not kind to customers.

In January of 2022, I received a call from their offices and was told my name came up on the waiting list for an apartment complex in Vista, CA that was nearly done being completed. I completed the application and paid the application fee (two different times and two separate fees of almost $60) and went in for an in-person interview. I was told they were just waiting on final approval from “corporate” and was even given a total on what my rent and security deposit would be. After that, I waited….and waited….got a couple calls just needing a couple more documents and then nothing. I called and emailed and was told each time that the apartment complex wasn’t completed yet and told at the beginning of the following month was the target move-in date. And then again….nothing. I couldn’t get anyone to return my calls or emails. Never got a letter in the mail. Total silence after that. Finally, about 2 months later, after I submitted an online form at the corporate office webpage, someone called me saying they were the brand.new manager of that complex and wanted to find out what had happened because the apartments were filled and it would be 5-7 years before another opening came up. I was stunned. I told her my story and she promised me that she would find out what had gone wrong and why I had went through all of that to be ignored and get back to me. And then….you guessed it…..nothing. I left one more voicemail asking why she hasn’t gotten back to me and have never heard anything back. This is a non-profit that says they want to end homelessness, yet they made me homeless by telling me one thing and doing another. To this day, I have never gotten any communication from them at all regarding this incident and I’ve never been reimbursed for the two separate application fees I paid when they didn’t have an apartment available to lease. So, either they bumped someone ahead of me which is against their own policies and illegal, or they took my money when they didn’t have an apartment to rent (also illegal). In either case, their actions caused me harm. I do not know how they can be a non-profit that says they help their community when this is how they behave. At least send a letter and follow up with people when you promise to get back to them. Very disappointed.

JUNK!!!<br>Advertises advocacy re utility overbilling and charges but do not follow through with service. When written documentation is requested to file against SDGE with UCAN's intervention with CPUC, they do not step up to assist consumer. Telephone calls, texts, emails were ignored by Consumer Advocate. Phone calls and emails was sent to Program Manager to complain, but that too were ignored and no return calls. No accountability! Surprising that this organization exist because they're completely useless! This organization deserves zero funding!

Poor delivery service, food is cheap T V dinners. They make you start all over with the paperwork every six months. They stop your service if the paperwork is not submitted. <br><br>

Plant with Purpose has created a successful plan for rural agricultural development in impoverished countries. They have planted over 35 million trees to restore the land and reverse deforestation. They work with farm families to introduce sustainable agricultural techniques to improve crop yields with the resources available. Local farm members are shown how to form savings and loans. Through their own regular savings programs they provide equity for growth and future needs. Partnerships with local churches lead to spiritual renewal. All this has helped lift over 39,000 rural farm families out of poverty. Neighbors are observing the success of Plant with Purpose farmers and are asking them for help to improve their own situations. Plant with Purpose has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of people.

The Torrey Pines High School Foundation has been dedicated to serving ALL STUDENTS for over 25 years.<br>One of the amazing programs the foundation sponsors is Challenge Days.<br><br>The goal of the Challenge Day program is to build community and to help end the teasing, harassment and alienation that are so deeply a part of the high school experience for millions of teenagers every day. Challenge Day is a powerful and transformational day that can change the way people view each other forever. It is a day of fun, friendship, and new possibilities. This Challenge Day is for all grade levels. Thank you TPHS Foundation!

This place has helped not only women to get and keep sober for 48 years, but has very involved Board of Directors that create exciting events to keep donors, volunteers and alumni involved. <br>One sober woman equates to healthy children, marriages, reunited families, and productive members working and giving back to society.<br>I’m so honored to help them through the grant writing process!

My daughter completed her 13 year journey from Kindergarten through High School, Class of 2015, and it was truly a blessing. She is now a happy, healthy and successful college student who attributes a lot of her curiosity and love of learning to her Waldorf education. She has developed a solid work ethic, is engaged in student government, has a genuine interest in others, and is a capable young adult. At The Waldorf School of San Diego, she developed such a depth of learning across many subjects, that her college professors often remark on it. She was taught HOW to think, rather than WHAT to think, which serves her well in life. The Waldorf School of San Diego develops free thinking, well rounded students, with a strong moral compass. They are passionate about their local and global communities and have the capability to get up off the couch and go out and make change in the world! Waldorf education is a true gift for any child!

My three children are enrolled at San Diego Hua Xia Chinese School. My thirteen-year-old daughter started learning Chinese at SDHXCS in 2009. <br>Nice team! Teachers are very knowledgeable, caring and responsible. The administration is very helpful.<br>Great curriculums with fun stories, Chinese traditional poems, dialogues, riddles etc.<br>Excellent and affordable enrichment programs including dancing, martial arts, drawing, music, computer programming and coding, tennis etc.<br>I love SDHXCS!!

For me I like this meeting because it doesn't bore me like most other meetings.

I am a female veteran with PTSD and recent domestic abuse who was denied help by this organization. I requested a bus ticket to a VA treatment facility in Oregon for which I was accepted. I have verifiable proof of my situation and that housing is part of my program. Yet I was denied. Does this organization have something against female veterans that they would behave this way? I am appealing this decision to management. We'll see if they'll step up to the plate and support the troops or not.

I never thought my dream of learning to fly would ever become a reality until I discovered the San Diego Chapter of The Ninety-Nines, Inc, Southwest Section! They are an amazing source of support and encouragement and I will forever be grateful for them!

I've been involved with my local chapter of the EVA since shopping for my first EV in 2019. I have found the organization to be a positive force in educating people on the benefits of electrification. I often conduct EV seminars both online and in person for the EVA, and am a proud board member of the Nevada chapter.

Kudos to this wonderful treasure in San Diego that often goes unnoticed. In the heart of Balboa Park lives SDCDA, a community of hundreds of volunteers and a dance community who have won numerous awards for their program and annual Collage show. SDCDA offers classes of all ages all over San Diego at affordable prices, offers scholarships to dancers and free classes for low income families if you qualify. The opportunity to dance with some of the best choreographers in San Diego and from all over the world is what makes this program unique. Not to mention offering a safe and non-competitive environment that many dancers and parents appreciate. Their annual Collage shares the magnitude of what this program is really about. It really is an experience you can't miss!!

Note that this non-profit closed in 2012 due to fiscal mismanagement and governance failures.

HOPEww has provided much inspiration for my family and friends. HOPE provides a variety of programs that have a deep and lasting impact on many people who are hurting and needy. As the CFO for a large regional church member of HOPEworldwide, I find the staff of HOPE to be very responsive to individual donors and church level input. As a recent board member and CPA, I'm impressed by the organization's commitment to integrity and transparency.

For many years I have supported New Entra Casa. I have met many women who have successfully completed this program and have gone on to lead productive lives. The "before" and "after" stories are amazing! I highly recommend this home.

This organization really lives up to its motto of "Seniors Helping Seniors". If you're having a computer problem, or just want to learn something about computers, they meet every Saturday, at 9:30 AM at the Wesley Palms, 2404 Loring St. San Diego. Visitors are always welcome.
