Difference Makers! Timolin and Casey Cole are difference makers! Our students are in desperate need, and The Nat King Cole Generation Hope answered the call for help. The Nat King Cole Generation Hope is an organization that gives Hope and Opportunity to underprivileged children from low socio-economical communities.
My school is located in an isolated and impoverished area of the Glades. This isolation and low economic reality impedes essential help and support that our children need to be successful. It is very difficult to endure with the desire to help our children and no means to fulfill it. That changed in the summer of 2012, The Nat King Cole Generation Hope Summer Strings Camp was held at Lynn University thanks to the generous grant from the Nat King Cole Generation Hope, in partnership with Lynn University and the School District of Palm Beach County. The Nat King Cole Generation Hope Summer Strings Camp serves over 100 Title 1 students from 7 different Title 1 schools across Palm Beach County. The camp boasts free transportation, snacks, lunches, private lessons, group lessons, and large ensemble orchestra for every student. If not for the generosity of the Nat King Cole Generation Hope foundation sponsoring 100% of every student that attended, the children would not have this life impacting opportunity. This camp provides much more than just music proficiency, it gives Hope to children who would not have a Hope of being able to attend a camp like this. It is an experience that fosters students’ passions, creativity, and imagination. It is a place where students actively engage in successful learning on a prestigious college campus from the highest caliber college mentors, and nurtures within the students the idea that, “I can go to college one day and be successful because I have done it before!” I am humbled and honored with your hearts of giving and service for our students.

Thank you for making it a priority to personally congratulate every student for a job well done with warm, loving smiles and firm hand shack. Thank you for putting a smile on our children's faces. My name is Manny Capote and I am Community Outreach and Music Education Partnership Programs Coordinator for the Lynn University Conservatory of Music. Thanks to the efforts, passion, and financial support of the NKC Foundation many underserved elementary school beginning string players have been able to receive coaching, instruction, and inspiration at no cost to them. The NKC Foundation has provided funding for in-school mentoring programs at Title I schools and an intensive week long summer strings camp at Lynn University. Kudos to the passion and committment that Timolin and Casey Cole bring to everything the NKC touches!
I'd been wanting to do something relevant to nurture the spirits of children who have little hope or none at all. When I was Executive Director of the South Florida Inner-City Games, I experienced first-hand the extraordinary difference made when children were exposed to the arts and sports. Now I live in Chicago but remain a supporter of NKCGH. What word comes to mind when I think of my experiences with this organization? Integrity. I believe the word 'integrity' to be synonymous with NKCGH. Founded by the twin daughters of Nat and Maria Cole, Timolin & Casey Cole are hands-on professionals. NKCGH has impacted thousands of children in Florida who attend schools with eliminated, limited and/or threatened music education programs.: "children who have the greatest need and fewest resources."
The Cole twins intimately understand the positive importance of music education in the shaping of humanity. NKCGH serves its mission through providing grants, instruments and clinics The annual concert in March is a major fundraiser with several other fundraisers held throughout the year. Natalie Cole was the featured performer at the 2013 NKCGH annual concert.

My name is Sharon Mullane and I work in the South Florida area as an attorney and Criminal Justice/Legal University Professor. I first learned of the existence of Nat King Cole Generation Hope many years ago when I was looking for an organization with a solid reputation where I could donate some high-end musical equipment. Since the musical arranger workstation(keyboard) and other equipment I wanted to donate could really benefit the right kids, it was crucial to me to find an organization that would see to it that the equipment went to children where the need was great and the resources were few. I have to say that I was thrilled when I picked up the newspaper one day and learned that the twin daughters of one of my musical heroes, Nat King Cole, had created an organization in the name of Nat King Cole which would benefit children in need in a truly musical way. Nat King Cole Generation was created by twins, Timolin and Casey, for the purpose of providing both musical instruction and instruments to children who may, otherwise, not be able to afford such luxuries. Fortunately for me, the donation of my equipment was just the beginning of a wonderful relationship with the Cole twins and Nat King Cole Generation Hope. I fervently believe in the legacy of Nat King Cole and also, more recently, honor the legacy of Maria Cole, a great singer in her own right and mom to Timolin, Casey and Natalie, as well. I am so proud to be a board member of Nat King Generation Hope as I have seen first hand, over and over, what a significant difference Nat King Cole Generation Hope has made in the lives of children. If you love music, love children and want to see to it that every child, regardless of ability to pay, has the opportunity to have a music-filled life, please jump on board. You will be glad you did!
I am thrilled to have been able to work with Nat King Cole Generation Hope, Inc. for the past two years. Within that brief time they have increased awareness of the mission, funded more programs and services than in the combined past years, brought on outstanding Board members and volunteers, and have fine tuned their impact realization.
