I volunteer monthly through my church to this amazing organization. Every single time as soon as we walk in you can just feel the heart invested in each and every box that is packed. Their constant efforts to feed more people motivates those that do come to help even more. I will forever volunteer to this amazing group of people!!!

I am honored to be a part of this amazing organization. They genuinely care about their men and give them every opportunity they have at their disposal to help them start a new life. The stories I've heard about and witnessed for myself are inspiring and show the impact that we can have on the lives of men who have lost all hope simply by showing up and letting them know they matter.

The AEF has been in existence since 1089, totally dependent on community support. Over $2 million has been given to the AISD through donations to school, children, and the District to fulfill our mission to enhance opportunities for success in school and into the student futures. I couldn’t believe my husband would ever cheat after marriage but I thank God for saving my marriage and my children. we got married 13years ago with two kids, but ungrateful and selfish he are. He started acting strange and always coming home late at night, i was frustrated and helpless, I called my senior sister and explained everything to her, God so kind she knows a cyber hacker called (HACKER KASPERSKY) She referred me to the hacker. I contacted him for help  and requested for my husband phone number. within some hours he hacked into my husband’s iPhone and send me a spyApp link to access his call logs, massages, Facebook, WhatsApp and some other online chats without my husband getting any notice about the hack. Amarillo Children's Home truly makes a difference in the lives of the children who are blessed to call this home. Every dollar is well spent as they work daily to break cycles, to heal, to love and to create generational change.

After our Chessie litter sisters (Savannah and Maggie) passed away (very senior), we began fostering CBRs and volunteering time. <br><br>Our first foster Khoda (nee Gaston) was a stray, then pound dog, very very scared. We picked him up and he just wanted someone to cling to. Over the next few weeks of food, training and tennis balls, he was completely different. Confident and playful. He would travel in the car, go to our friends house and chill. <br><br>His prospective new hoomans loved him on sight.<br><br>What a great experience for all, but mostly for Khoda who found his loving family. The American Quarter Horse Foundation provides thousands of dollars in scholarships to dozens of deserving youth annually. Recipients do not have to own a horse, but must be a member of the Association in order to apply for a scholarship

Great organization making a difference in so many peoples lives, including volunteers!

We have been sharing our lives by supporting an orphan project in Africa. We love the children and the organization that is so wonderful to help. They purchased land for a center for abandoned children to go, and it is becoming self-sustainable. This is amazing we get to be a part of this! You can help if you just do something!

<br>I relocated to Marthas home to escape domestic violence.  My alloted time will be up in less than 2 weeks.  I am a LVN  and also hv an ECE degree but hv bn unable to find a job,  I was told bc I am considered to be "one of the higher functioning" and hv a "higher income earning potential" that I won't qualify for any programs, which is confusing, since, right now , I hv no income but am still trying, giving up is not an option.  I'm sharing this personal information bc I hv no idea what else to do except hang the "SOS" flag praying somebody out there might b able to point me in the right direction.  If you hv any ideas, directions I'd love to hear them,  if you, like me, hv  no ideas what to do, bt know someone that might, would u please forward this .<br>I thank you for using your time to read this anyway.  My story, "Annes Journey" is on front cover of Marthas Home newsletter. The American Quarter Horse Foundation provides funds for Equine Research to various universities and research groups to enable to continued search for equine diseases and conditions. <br>The foundation also provides funding for programs enabling the disabled to ride, helping with cognitive function, balance and mental health, through the America's Horse Cares program. <br>In addition, the foundation awards scholarships to worthy youth to assist with their college education. <br>Other benefits are provided and can be reviewed at https://aqha.com/foundation.<br>This is a well run and worthy foundation!

The Amarillo Symphony is an amazing organization that is enriching the Panhandle Area in so many ways. First, the music the symphony plays helps expose our community to different cultures. They have a young artist composer competition which gives local artist a chance to flex their creative muscles and supports local music. Another way that the Amarillo Sympohny contributes to the Panhandle community is the Amarillo Youth Symphonies! This program gives children from Amarillo and all of the surrounding areas a chance to play music with and learn from the professional musicians of the Amarillo Symphony! This is an incredible opportunity for the children to learn more about music and technique. They have four different orchestras to serve all age and skill levels! The Youth Orchestra plays a couple of concert during the school year and holds a summer camp as well. The music the symphony plays breaths life into the community. I love this symphony!

AAYC Is a very good non-profit to get involve in your community and fun activites for kids and families. The staff is very friendly and will help you in any way. The haunt is one of the best in Amarillo, I worked in it and it was fun. There is a lot of clubs like: exercise, dancing and fencing. I was in fencing and it is a good work out and its fun to learn. AAYC is a good environment and you will feel welcomed here to be involved in. Matt Hite and his Brother are very nice and friendly Staff and they work hard. I enjoy working in the haunt and fencing. :)

Christian Relief Fund is very active in helping provide water wells, food, and emergency supplies to areas in need as well as matching donors with children in orphanages around the world. They are currently supporting victims of the ebola outbreak with food and clean water wherever they can. <br>Child sponsorship, food for families, schools, clinics, bibles and emergency relief are the main outreaches of this organization. Please research this organization and join them in this great work. <br> <br>

Yesterday was Monday July 29, 2014. I went to the thrift store on Western Street here in Amarillo Texas. I saw a Placard adversing all furniture off 50%. I selected a cabinet that was regular priced at $179.91. My concern is the way the organization collects the State of Texas Sales Tax. That being said, I was required to pay Tax on the regular price of the item and not the sale price of $89.96. The clerk took the regular price and reduced it in half and then taxed the regular price rather than the sale price. I had to pay $14.84 in State Tax for my purchase. I have had a business for over 30 years and never taxed the way I was taxed today. I questioned the way they tax and was told that they have done it that way for years. I called up Wal-mart and two other retail stores and my CPA and all concurred that I was correct. Additionally, it was suggested that the CPA or some one in management should have caught that error. Makes you wonder. I looked for a Sales Tax permit and none was posted. I feel that I should get a refund for the Tax I was charged. In this case The Customer is always right. As of 2014, this organization is not run with the best interests of the children in mind. I have supported this group for many years but won't donate any more until they change the executive director and the head of children's services both. They have 4 cottages, two really super nice, mansion quality and two sub-standard quality, one or both should be condemned and replaced ASAP. Instead, they have built new football fields, baseball, soccer and are building expensive lighting, stands, fences, and extra buildings. Oddly enough, they have instructed the children who live there not to play on the football fields! Apparently or I should say obviously, they are trying to look good to their donors but it is a case of style over substance. They are currently adding more landscaping to the front of one of the mansions and the boys who live there aren't allowed to play behind the house and have now been told not to play in the front yard. They cannot play on the football field so.... oh, and despite the fact that she had been living rent free in a 3-bedroom double garage duplex on campus, the director of children's services just got to move into a specially constructed 3000 sq. foot home on campus that defies logic! Her new home would probably sell for $300,000 in town and while half the children are living in moldy old run down homes form the 1960s, she gets luxury. Same lady treats the houseparents <br>Ike subordinates and she bullies adults and children alike! For example, if a child is making threats to harm others, she doesn't believe all houseparents should know. the houseparents disagree , of course but they have to defy their boss to keep others aware of such potential dangers. She loves to brag when inspectors give her a good grade, yet she does little to correct HouseParent complaints of items that need to be addressed for safety or health. Too many employees have company vehicles who don't need them! No one has an idea of what the executive director's son's job is and why he has a company vehicle --even those who work in the office with him! Money is spent unnecessarily on projects. Waste is rampant, support for houseparents is lacking, best practices are ignored, and if you speak up you are mistreated!

I'm the team leader for the Care Boxes For The Troops. We send Care Boxes to our overseas troops. I personally have been sending boxes since Vietnam and it's a passion of mine and brought that passion to America Supports You Texas in 2010. Volunteers get the hands-on experience of knowing what they are doing is letting the troops know they are thought of every day and that we take the time, energy and initiative to get the donations, have the packing parties, take the boxes to the post office and raise the money for the postage. We keep in contact with the troops, their families and their friends to help make their tours as easy as we can. It makes you feel great when you know that what you are doing is making it a little bit easier for those that are so far from home, some on their 5th and 6th tours, protecting our freedom. It makes my heart smile!
