I cannot express what an honor to serve on the Board of Vista Center for the Blind. The wide palette of services they provide to our large community is impressive. Members of the staff are not only competent and hardworking, but are continuously looking for new ways to better serve their clients. I have been impressed with how much they are doing with volunteers to expand on programs without increasing cost. It's rare to meet anyone as passionate and committed as Sangita Iyer. I became aware of her in 2017 when I attended the UK premier of the powerful film documentary she wrote, directed, filmed and presented, 'Gods in Shackles' The screening was at the prestigious Royal Geographical Society venue in central London and you could here a pin drop as the audience became transfixed by what they viewed. It certainly opened my eyes to the absolute horror temple elephants are put through. As a wildlife pencil artist I am compelled to help protect the animals that have created my four decade career. And I am always eager to donate artworks to charities such as Voices for Asian Elephants, who are driven to success by Sangita, her small group of trustees and a few committed volunteers. I applaud them for the great achievement made in the last few years; fiercely lobbying the Indian government to ensure elephant populations rise, buying land to protect elephants, purchasing huge mechanical eleph

The KSP is a wonderful and unique organization! Evelyne's lived experience growing up in Côte d'Ivoire and then immigrating to the Bay Area in the US is the inspiration behind all of the good work that happens here. She is the heart and soul of the KSP and is deeply involved in all aspects of the various programs serving women, girls, youth, and families in both parts of the world. I deeply respect how Evelyne manages to be the face of the KSP for both donors/funders AND for the communities we serve (she is on the ground building relationships - not just directing from afar). I have been involved with the KSP for several years now, and I continue to be impressed with how much gets done even with our limited resources as a small, grassroots nonprofit.

Canopy’s volunteers did an amazing job planting our new trees! We are so excited for our trees and for the beauty and shade they will provide as they grow. This non profit is amazing!

Thanks to East Palo Alto Kids Foundation I have been able to buy classroom supplies for my students and achieve different projects!!! It has made such a positive difference in our lives!!!

I had a really hard time breastfeeding because of my baby’s shallow latch. I got the contact of NMC from a friend and reached out to Tine for help. Tine was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. She kept in touch and answers all my questions patiently. She came home and showed me different breastfeeding positions and tongue exercise for my baby. I am so grateful for NMC and Tine for all the support.

I have known Proyecto Itzaes since its beginning here in Yucatan. It's truly making a difference in the lives of kids in several pueblos who wouldn't otherwise have access to the books and learning materials they provide.<br>Each year there is a science fair held in the central park of one of the villages. There, the whole town can learn about many aspects of science-- from bats and snakes to chemistry and robotics. It's beautiful to see the excitement and fascination on the kids' faces!

I've spent more than 3-1/2 years volunteering at Ape Action Africa, in ten self-funded trips. Such an outstanding organization, so inspiring that they changed the trajectory of my life. I admire many things about them: their mission to save primates and care for them in a sanctuary that's as close to their natural habitat as possible; the education and conservation messages they offer to children, the community, and visitors from around the world; the respect and love they have for their primate charges; the commitment to the local population - providing jobs, buying produce from the farmers, building schools and wells. I used to donate to the famous BINGOs (Big International NGOs). But after volunteering at Ape Action Africa, I shifted my charitable giving focus. I'd rather donate my time and money to a small, focused, dynamic organization with a dedicated team passionate about their mission. And knowing that every dollar has an impact and goes directly to saving the primates in their care. I wholeheartedly recommend Ape Action Africa and urge you to check them out!

Voice of a Child is an exceptional team of committed volunteers. They are small, yet accomplish a lot for their constituents. There use of funds is also unparalleled.

TheatreWorks Silicon Valley is a Tony award winning regional theater. It was started in 1970 by Robert Kelley, right out of Stanford. He created amazing art for the stage for 50 years! Giovanna Sardelli is the current Artistic Director. Her forte is finding and producing New Works. Some of the productions are as good as you would see on Broadway. Please consider donating. As you may know, Covid hit all theaters across the States very hard. It has been difficult to recover. Government gives very little to the Arts. Surprisingly, many of the wealthy people in Silicon Valley don't give to the Arts either! Help TheatreWorks continue their mission, Tonight, we will be seeing "King James" by Rajiv Joseph. I know it will be fabulous. I can't wait!

I have been blessed with the most wonderful rescue dog. MO4PAWS took their time to locate the most wonderful little dog for me. I cannot imagine my life without him. Hopefully he feels the same way.

The Rabbit.org Foundation is making a profound impact on the lives of rabbits and their caregivers. By providing vital resources, education, and support to rabbit caregivers, rabbit rescuers, veterinarians, and shelter staff, we are fostering a compassionate and informed community. Our initiatives are geared towards improving the welfare and well-being of rabbits, ensuring they receive the care and love they deserve. Through collaboration and advocacy, we are driving positive change and raising awareness about the unique needs of these wonderful animals. I am immensely proud to be part of an organization that is dedicated to creating a better future for rabbits everywhere.

Love this organization and how much they do with such a small, but incredibly intentional staff. They really do take care of you and are super safe in their screening of mentors. FFY also puts a lot of work upfront into finding quality mentors and training them for mentees. Very happy to be a part of this family -- it's so important to support local grassroots organizations during this time.

I was first introduced to Lauren's House in highschool where I volunteered as a tutor and mentor for it’s youth. Over the years I have continued to volunteer and support the program's ventures. For me, Lauren's House has always been a home away from home and it is where the children of the community can come and be uplifted and celebrated in their everyday lives. It’s more than a safe haven, it is a home for whoever needs a home and a family for those who are in need of Love and Support. The director and CEO of the program Monique Graves has personally changed a great deal of my life by simply being her. She is someone willing to go above and beyond for every single member of her program. Whether it be a child, a parent, or a volunteered; Monique ALWAYS shows up. It’s been 14 years since I first joined the program and I'm proud to say till this day I still call it home. This is the kind of program every community needs at it's heart. A program that truly cares for the issues of the community, and works towards a common solution. A program that cares about the upcoming generations and ensures the mental and emotional safety it needs to be prosperous. A program that promotes not only education but morality and humility. Thank You to Lauren's House 4 Positive Change and all of it's allies and associates over the years for being such a significant factor in the growth and success of every child, and family that has been under the Umbrella of Lauren's House. I hope you continue to keep up the good work and wish you all the success in the world for many years to come.

Kids Saving The Rainforest is an amazing organization. I enjoy being able to be a board member and to assist them with their amazing mission. All of the volunteers and staff work so hard there to help and save wildlife everyday. If you have the chance to experience it for yourself in person you 100% should do it!

I’m a CF patient who has been involved in CFRI for 32 years. They have always been incredibly transparent and responsible in using their funds wisely. The organization has an amazing, dedicated, hard-working staff who are all passionate about helping the CF community. They offer a plethora of services for CF families as well as research funding and advocacy. A smaller organization than CFF but this intimacy creates openness and flexibility to help CFRI expand in what they offer. Everyone I met involved in CFRI is truly remarkable and kind people! Best community ever!

I’ve been impressed with Benetech’s commitment to helping people get access to digital books and reading tools so they can learn and succeed. Many of the staff and board have direct lived experience that they use to build a community of people who champion rights for people regardless of disability or learning difference. A big tent and a humane culture— sometimes rare to find amidst tech-savvy innovators. Very inspiring organization.

I work for Palo Alto Unified S.D. Transportation I have worked with All Care Plus, for over 20 + years. Kali and his team are great people very informative in there presentations. Very knowledgeable on any subjects they teach as well, and a fair price to boot. I do recommend anyone if needing F/A -CPR and other areas of health and wellness.

The board member of this non profit unlawfully fired the head master of the school. Currently the school is run by two board members who has changed many of the school policy:<br>1. Limiting the teachers personal time off to 200 hours, and not allowing the school staff and teachers to take personal time off<br>2. Not replacing any teachers or teachers assistant who left the school. So the school is severely short staff.<br>3. Witheld employee's 401K fund without depositing into the employee's 401k fund. <br>Please do no donate to this non profit since the essentially the head of the board members are firing / replacing other board members who disagree with him and basically the school is run with dictatorship.

Environmental Volunteers does a great job offering children, many of whom are disadvantaged, the chance to explore the outdoors and learn the science to better understand the natural world. Both in classroom and on trail, children are given the opportunity to discover in a hands-on environment the important relationship between themselves and nature. <br>Many of the kids have never been to a park, let alone stand at the base of a towering redwood, explore tidepools on the coast, stand on an earthquake fault or experience wild animals in their natural habitat. A truly great program.

YCS is a wonderful resource for youth to connect with service learning opportunities so they can be part of making a difference in the community!

This is a time to heal and unite. AtHome Humanitarian understands that this is more important than ever before, and are working to build bridges between newcomers and receiving communities. I saw this firsthand when I attended a welcoming retreat event and got a chance to meet the team, volunteers and some people they serve. They brought together refugee families and volunteers, helping to building connections, understanding and support services needed to thrive in our communities. I was impressed by what I saw, and as communities I believe we are better together. That’s why I’m very happy to recommend AtHome Humanitarian as a one of my most favorite NonProfits!
