Hi I'm in need of housing please I'm homeless and in the cold I just can't afford the deposit or first month rent but I get SSI I pay to much for a motel please help me thanks and God bless

Well I entered Joy Junction with my family two girls and one boy and my girlfriend been together for 19 years and then we got into a disagreement and she got angry and next thing I know that I get kicked out because she said that she did not feel safe with me there I done nothing to her for her to feel that way and now I'm out on the streets with nowhere to go and it's cold I have no coat I don't want to help me before that my son got murdered in Kansas that bothers me a lot I asked someone to help me with that cuz I didn't know how to deal with it because I know a death today anything like that ever in my life and that was my youngest son that I barely know and I love him when he was murdered no one helps not even detectives I try to reach out to everyone I can and still no help that's my wife to help me with this so she did the best she could I know it's kind of hard dealing with someone that's just not happy it upset and angry I don't know who to talk to so I asked George Junction staff could you please talk to me or I find me some help Marco said he will help me I never got that help it was pretty much like it was just overlooked so you don't help something that's reaching what do you reach for and I'm still lost in pain suffering now I just didn't lose my son and I lost my whole family she turned it back on me she's the only one that I had in my life that actually help me with anything just coping before that you got evicted the people just bothering us for no reasons and she blame me for no reasons which I had nothing to do and none of that stuff I just I don't know I don't know what she talking about it hurts it angers me that she did not believe me or hear me and still who do you talk to who do you reach out to who can help you I still haven't found that help I pray to God that helps me somehow some way that is not I don't think I need to be here anymore because I can't I just can't handle it please pray for me thank you very much my name is Linda McCoy and her name is deshawna Johnson Leonard McCoy I love my kids kavion McCoy shalaya McCoy Asana Solis dad loves you all always will please forgive me for whatever happens.

Once I retired, I was looking for volunteer opportunities to serve our community. My daughter-in-law told me about Casa Esperanza. I went for a tour and decided this was where I wanted to be. Being a retired teacher, I know the impact serious illness can have on the family and children. I had no idea the need was so great for a "home away from home" for families from neighboring communities until I became a volunteer. I volunteer in the development department and get to see first hand how impactful our services are. I was welcomed immediately by the staff, and their kindness and helpfulness is ongoing. I feel that my time here is appreciated. I am so glad I found Casa Esperanza.

For more than 50 years New Mexico Legal Aid has assisted New Mexicans living in poverty with legal services they otherwise would not be able to access. Each year roughly 15,000 people benefit from our direct services and thousands more benefit from our indirect services. Our goal is to do everything we can to stabilize these families. There are roughly 400,000 people in New Mexico who currently would qualify for the legal services our nonprofit can provide. This is one clients story.

I'm 48 years old recently didn't disabled Santa walk without Walker PTSD I have no home I am homeless been homeless for 3 years trying to get on my feet get stability since my baby daddy died 3 years ago my kids and I are separated living separated they're living in motels and I'm leaving from House of house with friends and relatives being homeless sometimes the shelter at the west side I need help to get a home I got little income unemployment 169 a week I need help to get home or some sort of subsidized housing as soon as possible I need surgery and my hips and lower back arthritis did you painkillers because of my arthritis that severe get shots in my back my primary care physician doctors tomorrow acia is taking me off little by little off my Percocet 10 325 and trying to get me help in any way to get able to walk again and can get around without a walker I need to know if somebody can donate me a car that makes me mobile I don't have no car to get to my appointments and I've been trying to get to my therapy and can't make it I'm currently in a breakup from a boyfriend that is abusive mentally needing help ASAP DVR was supposed to help me and all they did was send me to the West side shelter I can't get nowhere like that I've been barely walk please help me I'm serious I had the senator of New Mexico help me or try to help me take me to dvrd c I just need help please help me to get my stability and a home I can call home for me and my boys I have a 19 year old son Justin high School just got him back into school you've been separated for 3 years I have a 22 year old son that's living with a friend of mines he is not working but they cannot help me and everybody surviving on their own I need a caregiver that I have in mind but I don't have money to pay him I need help please God bless you thank you I also believe I am on your waiting list and haven't heard from nobody yet

My daughter was born with a bone deformity due to NF. She has to permanently wear a leg brace on her leg till puberty then talks of surgery. Her Dr Is amazing and so good with her. As well as the brace doctor. Everyone here is very kind the facility is always clean and the wait time is very good.

The Rock at Noon Day is a terrific place to help those in need of a meal; having their clothes washed; a shower; Christian Legal Aidas well as I am sure other benefits - but most importantly, to hear and receive spiritual sustenance from Danny or any of the other pastors or ministers on a daily basis, when they are open five days a week. The people who work there are lovely kind people and have helped many - even those who are too ungrateful to appreciate their selfless charity that is given freely without any guilt trips. This place is one in a million.

NMAHA has come a far way and has gone through a number of Board of Director changes to best fit the organization and the community both. We offer an opportunity for children to excel on and off the ice with the support of parents, certified coaches and peers. As a coach and board member I have seen negative and positive discussions and let me say that our priority is focused on competitive fun for everyone. What we strive for is full participation and good communication. I hope you find the time to check out NMAHA and other opportunities that the McDermott Athleticc Center has to offer.

An update is important. The organization has ceased to exist and has continued it's work under it's sister organization, Vecinos "Neighbors United. Vecinos "Neighbors United was created in 1989 while Vecinos United Community Development Corporatin was incorporated in july of 1994. it became impractical to have two organizations both capable of accomplishing the same goals, and due to lack of staff our filing lapsed for our Community development Corporation.<br><br>The Organization's work continues. It's Central theme is VECINOS UNITED "THE HUB FOR SOCIAL CHANGE". Allthough it'swebsite is underconstruction, you can Visit it at: vecinosunited.org <br><br>The negative review above was only an angry person who had a desk donated to the organization. After years said it was his and it was a loan. He threatened to destroy the organization and apparently that review was his effort.<br><br>

For the past 15 years I have been involved with the Career Guidance Institute and their Albuquerque Reads program, where we tutor kindergarten students to help them learn how to read. The program is very well organized and we have a large positive impact on around 150 students each year. We work with two students, one at a time, for most of the school year and we get to see their progress in developing literacy skills. It is the most rewarding volunteer work that I have ever done!

I have been involved with Hawks Aloft since 2007, when I was lucky enough to be hired for a seasonal job doing field work. I have been a volunteer ever since my temporary job ended. In my work with Hawks Aloft, I've gotten to experience many of the things they do: songbird surveys, raptor nesting surveys, raptor rescue and education. I have been impressed by the dedication of the staff and volunteers and the quality of services provided. The data from surveys done over a period of years shows trends in bird populations over time and as changes are made to the environment, so this is very valuable data. Hawks Aloft also performs a valuable role in helping to rescue injured raptors, providing transportation so birds can be brought to a qualified rehabilitator and receive veterinary care. They also work to protect nesting birds.<br><br>Hawks Aloft has an excellent education program. They bring birds into classrooms and teach students about the birds and about nature. It's vital that we educate our children to value nature and wildlife, and when children see a live raptor up close, it makes a big impression. It's so much fun to see the children's excitement when a bird is brought out of its travel box. After seeing the bird, the children participate in activities and games that teach them about ecology and nature. For the schools that participate in the Living With the Landscape program, children also participate in a conservation project. Without opportunities like this, many of these children would not have little if any exposure to nature.<br><br>Hawks Aloft also brings birds to events such as the Crane Festival, the Lavender Festival, evening programs at schools and many of the events held at Valle de Oro Wildlife Refuge, providing education to many adults and children. I often participate in these events, and enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with others. Many people have questions about raptors they see near their houses, and we help them figure out what raptor is visiting them (usually but not always a Cooper's Hawk).<br><br>I am proud to be a part of Hawks Aloft. I believe they are doing important work, and I support them with my time and with donations.

There is a group calling itself the Episcopal Information Network, which meets the first Saturday of each month at LePeep restaurant, which us bit a part of "The Episcopal Information Network, Inc." EIN is meeting this morning at 8:15A for breakfast, and 8:45A for conversation. What gives?

My son has participated in several Zia Family Focus Center activities, and the program has always been highly educational in a truly fun setting. The staff of ZFFC is always warm and welcoming, especially with the kids, and they offer thoughtful and creative clubs and events, including Cooking Club, Albuquerque by City Bus Club, Parents Night Out, as well as community building events such as the Fall Festival. <br> <br>I highly recommend this nonprofit organization that is so valuable to our school and community. <br> <br>

VORTEX has a new home for the 2014-2015 Season and this move has catapulted all their operations up one notch. Their Summer Shakespeare Season on the Plaza is also a great move. With 28 years of experience Vortex is a great cultural asset for Albuquerque and New Mixico

Great organization with great leaders This group provides such a great resource in the state of New Mexico and advocates for transparency.

More than a decade ago I had the opportunity for exposure to HMI. What I saw impressed me in terms of impact and passion. But what really got my attention was a phrase I heard a number of times, "Saved our ranch, saved our land, saved our family." I remember telling a friend, "I'm not sure i completely understand what they do, but it is obviously very meaningful." <br> <br>Twelve years later, and after three terms as a Director including three years as the Chair, I have to say that time (and the funding support I've provided) has been an exceptional investment. l can see a programmatic path that is clearer than ever, a very good governance structure and very competent and devoted staff. That translates into more vital and vibrant ranches and farms, increasing land restoration and a great deal of benefit to families and communities who depend heavily on the land and its production.

I would like to thank Animal Protection of New Mexico, the Equine Protection Fund, and Phil for helping me geld my donkey. He is just over 2 years old and was getting to the point where he was more than I could handle. We also have mares and he is the age where he thinks he should be with them. I have a 6 month old baby and I am currently a stay at home mother. I would not have been able to have this procedure done with out the help of APNM. This procedure prevented unplanned breeding from Buckshot, and will allow me to responsibly rehome him if needed with out worry that he will be used for breeding. So a huge thank you from me and my family goes out to APNM, for helping us make our donkey a better pet, and keeping our horses safe from having babies! <br> <br> <br> <br>I would like to thank Animal Protection of New Mexico for the generous donation of horse blankets to my family. This is an invaluable program and has provided my family with items that we were unable to purchase ourselves due to financial difficulties. The amount of care and compassion from everyone is beyond anything I imagined. My horses will appreciate the warm blankets during these cold winter months. This will help me provide them with more comfort and give them some shelter so they can stay warmer! Although it seems like we have had nice weather the past few days I am sure snow will return. Thank you so much to everyone who made donations to APNM and to everyone who is helping distribute these goods our community in times of need.

The Friends of the C&TS is vitally important to the continued existance of the country's longest and highest remaining narrow-guage railway, the Cumbres and Toltec Scenic Railway. The Friends provide both financial resources and volunteer manpower to keep the trains running, and their support of what may be the world's most historically authentic narrow guage railway has kept the line in existance since the line was abandoned by the Denver and Rio Grande in the 1970s. The Friends do all this with very low overhead - a shared passion for preserving this National Historic Landmark is what drives the organization to success.

I have worked with Cornucopia for two years. Prior to my start date I graduated with a Bachelor's in Community and Regional Development but had never directly worked with individuals with developmental disabilities. Through Cornucopia I have had the rare experience of being part of an organization that is experiencing rapid growth within the industry and developmental disabilities community. I now have a broader understanding of Community and Regional development I feel that Cornucopia has taken great steps to create a structurally sound organization, both financially and programmatically.
