We are so grateful for the incredible support Lohith has received at No Limits for Deaf Children in Culver City. English Language Arts and writing were becoming more challenging for lohith , but working with Ms Katherine has been a complete game-changer. Ms Katherine is a phenomenal tutor—she is patient, encouraging, and has a gift for making complex writing concepts easy to understand. Since starting with her, Lohith’s ELA skills and overall confidence in writing have improved tremendously. No Limits is a wonderful organization that truly goes above and beyond for their students.

As someone who is neurodivergent, I truly value how Exceptional Children’s Foundation (ECF) supports people across the full spectrum of neurodiversity. ECF offers programs for every level of need—from residential homes with daily care to independent living options with weekly check-ins. Their art centers give creative individuals a voice, the culinary program teaches real-life skills, and Exceptional Works helps clients gain job training and find meaningful employment. The staff here are compassionate and skilled at connecting with both verbal and nonverbal clients. The environment is inclusive, respectful, and focused on helping everyone grow at their own pace. I’ve seen how ECF helps people embrace who they are and feel proud of it. For families looking for genuine support and opportunities for neurodivergent loved ones, ECF is an incredible place to start.

CRI is a fantastic organization. Before I started working in recycling, their website and many reports were a tremendous resource for learning about the field. Now that I'm working full-time in the same sector, I get to see the great impact they have in states all over the country and am proud to support their work.

Discovering the Starlight Children's Foundation has been a true blessing. Knowing they dedicate themselves to bringing joy and laughter to seriously ill children and their families has made them one of my favorite charities to support. Their work is invaluable, and I'm proud to contribute to their mission of creating brighter moments during challenging times

Could not have navigated this daunting journey without them. <br>Great information/videos guiding one throughout any question, decision one may have.<br>Their Helpline is wonderful and they are responsive and accurate. Also there is not limit in the exchange of conversations/emails, so one is not left hanging. Very welcoming, organized, and kind people that run the Culver City MOW. I volunteered not knowing anyone and I feel like I fit right in. It’s a lot of work to prep the meals I deliver and I appreciate how much work they put into helping so many people.

My parents took me to this theater when I was a kid to see shows. I've always come away being inspired! As an adult, I still come to this theater. It's a special place with absolutely wonderful people!

I am an administrator at WLAC. The WLAC Foundation provides scholarships to students at West Los Angeles College. Scholarships include merit and need based scholarships, which help our students succeed in their education. The WLAC Foundation also supports retention by providing General Emergency Grants to students who experience unexpected costs during the academic year.

What better way to help children grow than to get them into a garden? And truth be told, I grew a bit by going to the garden too! I was a die hard volunteer for Allies this year because I just wanted to keep coming back to that garden! The garden is a brightly colored oasis off of Inglewood Blvd., with bush sunflowers, and poppies, pea flowers, squash blossoms and giant corn stalks. Every time you visit, there is something new in bloom, and something new to eat right off of the plant! There are trees with fruit on them, and butterflies landing everywhere. Not only is it beautiful, there is soul there. The families who come to tend the garden act like they own it, and that tells me there is love there. Jasmine, who runs the garden has flowers in her eyes and is always planning a new upgrade. There is never a dull garden moment, it's absolutely abuzz. At the garden I found a renewed connection to my fellow human, as well as to the earth we stand on. I helped to grow many things during my volunteering, one of which was my very own heart. GlobalGirl Media is a wonderful and imperative organization empowering young women around the world to share the stories that are important to them, and to confidently, positively and proudly "raise their voices" to be heard -- by their communities and the world. <br> <br>THIS is how global change happens. Equality of perspectives. Putting the power, knowledge and ability into the hands of everyone... starting with every girl.

I have been very impressed by the leadership and staff of the Unstoppable Foundation, but more importantly, by the positive impact they are having on thousands of lives. Many organizations build schools in developing countries, but many of these programs are not sustainable because the kids are unable to stay in school. <br><br>Unstoppable's approach provides sustainability and ensures students can stay in school, by addressing the needs of the entire community. I also love the fact that 100% of my donation goes directly to Unstoppable's international programs. It feels great to know that I can have a real impact by giving to the Unstoppable Foundation!

DO NOT RENT THIS PLACE or go there for ANY reason. We had a horrible experience there with the old men who sit in the bar and drink all night. <br><br>There is this old chain smoking drunk with black hair and bad teeth who tried to pick a fight with everyone at our event and kept wandering into our hall to berate and get belligerent with all the attendees. He kept telling everyone he was some kind of officer like the "Grand General Field Marshall " of that American Legion post, I guess trying to imply he had some authority or ownership stake in it. No one could understand what he was talking about. The little blonde bartender in the see through blouse with no bra told an 80 year-old man at our event "get out of my way" when she was going to throw some trash out in the back. Then later we watched this other really old drunken guy who looked like Doc Brown in "Back To the Future" stumble out of the bar, shuffle past us and then freeze. We kept telling him he couldn't use that door because we were in that space but he was so wasted he had no idea what was going on. He may still be there. They can use him as a doorstop. <br><br>I wasn't the organizer of this event but if I was I would have demanded a FULL REFUND since they ruined it. These are the people who give veterans a horrible name and reputation. <br><br>I also just did a Google search of this place and saw they have been popped by California ABC (Alcohol Beverage Control Dept.) for multiple HS (Health and Safety) and PC (Penal Code) violations that got them fined and shut down more than once. i worked in restaurants and my guess is the PC violations are for running a "disorderly house" due to the intoxication. The HS violations speak for themselves: do not eat or drink anything there, it is not safe. <br><br>Here, this is their fines and suspensions by the state. <br><br>abc.ca.gov/datport/LQSDA…<br><br>They must make some pretty strong drinks at their bar, though. You can see the results on any given evening.<br>

Rags for Riches has been an incredible source of support and guidance to the Children's Lifesaving Foundation, and, after twenty three years, we can recall that they gave us essential, seed funding to begin our work. We are so grateful to founding member, Bob Salka, and to Jeffrey Michaels, Barry Sacks, Michael Geller, John Poyer, Joe Wirht and mark Steinman, among the many other members who make this great funding organization. I have been lucky enough to witness firsthand the amazing work of this organization, as a New Earth volunteer. New Earth has helped many incarcerated young people find their voices through it's writing and music programs. New Earth continues to support clients upon their release, providing re-entry services and fostering empowering relationships. In addition, New Earth serves the community by offering a creative forum each month for local writers, musicians and artists to share their talents (Expression Mondays.) All of the staff members are caring, open and passionate about their work. I would highly recommend New Earth to anyone looking for a meaningful volunteer experience, a nonjudgmental setting to express themselves or seeking re-entry services for themselves or a loved one.

I signed up for the program because I needed a more affordable solution for my child’s after school care. I am very impressed with the owners natural ability to work with the children. She definitely has a passion when it comes to children. She offers an excellent selection of activities for the children to participate after homework has been completed. I highly recommend!

I am a big musical theater geek and my friend told me about this amazing group. I emailed them asking for volunteer work and they asked me to help at an event they had with Darren Criss! OMG- I got to meet Darren, watch him perform and help them out all at once. They are amazing and dedicated to musical theater in LA and helping students get ahead in musical theater.

The Culver City Sister City Committee (CCSCC) is part of an international organization that includes 500 independent cities in 140 countries all working towards people-to-people relationships. Our goals include educational, governmental, economic development and cultural aspects that may be beneficial for our city and our Sister Cities; Uruapan, Mexico, Kaizuka, Japan, Iksan, South Korea and Lethbridge, Canada. <br> <br>We are looking to expand our sphere by developing relationships with Friendship Cities of interest to the Culver City community by directly asking the community who'd they like to be in association with, contacting cities with similar population sizes that are looking to develop new Friendship cities that may lead to a Sister City relationship and we also want to educate the community youth about why intercultural relationships are beneficial to learning, lifetime development and the continued growth of the ideals of Sister City International.

Felines and Friends, NM takes in cats/kittens that might otherwise never be deemed adoptible and gives them a second chance. All cats live in foster homes and are shown at Petco for one week on a rotating basis. A No Kill society, cats who are not adopted live out their lives in permanet foster care. All funds (from adoption fees, donations, annual fund raiser, and others) are used for the benefit of the cats. Feline and Friends NM is an all volunteer organization, no one is paid for their work, including the head of the organization. The cost of the annual fund raiser is supplied by contributions. All proceeds go directly for the care and maintenance of the animals.

A wonderful group of dedicated people and professionals providing a loving, real life community, serving individuals with disabilities.This particular charity provides opportunities for these people to have a sense of purpose and value so that their experience of life is as loving and full as possible.

A wonderful organization that does a lot with a little. My vision is compromised which is one of the reasons I decided to volunteer for this particular non-profit. I don't need their services yet, or maybe I never will, but I see what a life-changing difference CPS does make in the lives of those who would be dependent on others if not for this organization. Can you imagine what YOUR life would be like if had low vision and no where to turn for help?

The STAR Program is an amazing organization that brings enrichment programs to schools. They are giving children the opportunity to try all different types of classes such as; RockSTAR, all sports, all forms of art, engineering, science, music, languages, environmental education and theater. They really offer any type of class you can think of - right at the school campus. On top of this they have an excellent environmental education program linked with the STAR EcoStation in Culver City and Granite Bay. Their scholarship program is very impressive with no child being turned away.

Pacífico Dance Company is California's premiere Mexican folklórico dance ensemble. The company is comprised of 40 dancers who collaborate to preserve traditional works, and explore new and evolving works that combine the essence of the folk form with modern dance idioms. Pacífico Dance Company has been thrilling audiences for over twenty years. The Company's main objective is to educate culturally diverse communities and to provide Hispanic/Latino audiences with a forum for developing pride in their own heritage. Pacífico prides itself on service to the community - bringing the magic and excitement of live performances to audiences young and old alike for more than a decade. Based in Los Angeles, Pacífico Dance Company has toured throughout California, New Mexico, Washington, Utah, New York, Washington D.C., North Korea, China and beyond.

Current news events in Egypt and Tunisia reinforce the power of this movie. <br> <br>Tremendous power and the search for freedom is possible when people stand together and speak truth to dictatorial power. An important movie and an important tool to educate.

After reading about The Story Project in a brochure, I was very eager to get involved. I called and spoke with the director Todd Felderstein who welcomed me into an amazing program at The Boys and Girls Club of Burbank, CA. Over the next few months, I met every Wednesday afternoon with a group of awesome 6th graders and an incredibly warm and professional writer/director who led the group from concept phase to film production.These young people were incredible leaders and listeners. They were empowered every step of the way and Glen (the writer/directer) honored their decision-making abilities and creativity. I had so much fun connecting with this incredible team. I look forward to participating in future projects!

Fostering Imagination goes beyond what most Mentor organizations provide. They truly create a connection with each Mentee as to create a family unit dynamic. Children in the foster care system need commitment, stability and consistency in order to work through their losses. Fostering Imagination strives towards this dedication. Actions speak louder than words ...They provide are a home where children can be received with love and care unconditionally and seek them out when they are "shipwrecked." I am honored to be on their Advisory Board and eager to help this organization succeed towards it's greatest potential... by making this world a place of safety and refuge for children.
