Alisa's Angels illustrates the importance of promoting people that lead by example and help give others a sense of purpose. Leadership requires positivity and inspiration, which are qualities inherent in all of Alisa’s Angels scholarship recipients. I am honored to be a part of an organization that works hard to elevate the youth that will make the world a better place for everyone.

There is no greater legacy than that which we leave in the lives of those we serve. Alisa's Angels Foundation has helped a lot of kids with the cost of college, but, more importantly the Foundation has celebrated those kids decision to give of themselves to something greater. The kids that become Alisa's Angels scholars start nonprofits to combat bullying; they go out and raise tens of thousands of dollars for disease research; the earn this honor after working sometimes thousands of hours in their communities to end hunger, homelessness and hopelessness. Alisa's Angels endeavors to reward their selflessness and to encourage it by continuing to mentor them after they graduate.

I have met and known many of these kids and watched them go off to do even more extraordinary things as young adults. They are deserving of every bit of support that Alisa's Angels can give them and more. The Alisa's Angels Foundation and its volunteers have also dedicated the last 16 years to their service. That's why it exists and why it needs help to continue on for many more years to come.

Supporting and encouraging young people who give back and help others has always been important. These are the people who can change the world for good - in small and large ways. Through its scholarships and mentorship, Alisa's Angels supports young leaders who understand the importance of being involved in their communities and embody the idea of selfless giving.

Alisa's Angels alumni - close to 100 - are involved in projects and organizations that have a positive impact in their communities and around the world.

I first learned of Alisa's Angels Foundation in 2021 and was so moved by their mission and vision that I became an active volunteer and donor. The commitment to students in their own community of Arizona, the relationships that they build with the scholarship recipients and the dedication to fostering ethical leaders that serve others feels unique and visionary.

Here was a foundation not awarding youth for grades or athletic achievements but for their commitment to their community and how they choose to serve others. In an environment where not enough people are thinking of how to help others, it feels inspiring to be involved with students who choose to do so as part of their path forward.

Alisa's Angels desire to support these students in their education beyond high school, to a 2 or 4 year college, trade school or even a graduate degree shows that when we value an individual for how they treat others and their positive impact in their communities, we all succeed.

My involvement has been extremely fulfilling and an incredible opportunity to meet scholarship recipients that are doing impactful work in our community.

In 2000, A visiting missionary spoke at my church about leadership and service. He quoted JF Kennedy, “If not I WHO? If not now WHEN?” This began my commitment to service and fostering leadership at my church, my children’s school and later in my larger community.

Students are our leaders of tomorrow. They are our future and our legacy.

I was so touched by the story of why Alisa's Angels was founded in 2002, how her parents have chosen to keep her spirit alive in the community of Arizona, as well as their commitment and expansion of a program that awards scholarships to HS seniors for post-secondary education, and NOT based on need or academics BUT on their community involvement and service. I literally cried when I read the submissions by previous recipients and was more than honored to join their Board of Directors in 2021.

Please watch the videos below and consider donating time or treasuer. These young women and men are our future leaders.

Even a small monthly comittement of $20 (that's $5/week) can support this worthwhile mission...

I'm sure most of us spend more than $5/week mindlessly on less important endevors (Starbucks, doordash, entertainment) You get the point. Please join me - we are looking for Board Members and "at large" community connectors - I know you won't regret it!
(because I haven't)

Many blessings to you and your loved ones
