I'm a new board member with GA Conservancy but have benefitted from their engagement and activity during my time in Georgia. The organization is professional, honest, hard-working, and totally committed to the mission! I am so impressed with the level of care this organization shows and their discipline in achieving and preserving this beautiful state and its resources!

I talked to 4 different people, went through an exhausting story 4 times, then several emails. It ended up that they gave me a list of grants to apply for to help with my insurance dilemma. It was a huge waste of time and energy and I got no guidance in how to navigate insurance difficulties while battling cancer. I'm angry that I'm now counted among the number of people that their charity reports that they "helped". They didn't help at all, they actually made things more stressful. The organization that did help was my local ss office.

Jeffrey, Ron and Courtney were all very inviting and helpful. Loved the spirit of the organization that truly cares for people and their well-being.

This organization is a scam. They make promises to fulfill a commitment and support a community service project and then back out leaving the volunteers holding the bag. Don't be a victim. Volunteer your valuable time with a reputable organization NOT Points of Light!

I have been stripped down to nothing twice in the process of already dealing with my own mental state and problems to only have things over turned. From me first thinking (knowing based on agreement with Sharon and the letter I wrote) I was walking away with nothing giving Habitat this house back avoiding foreclosure and writing you guys a letter stating this and our agreement to only receive a letter after I vacated that foreclosure proceedings were happening but you guys would not put it on my credit. Come on.....I may be suffering right now because the stress I have on me along with the health issues and habitat unfulfilled agreements but I'm not a dummy. I filed bankruptcy and came back to start all over with nothing. <br> <br>Second time now here I am 2 years later still trying to recover with a bankruptcy on my credit because decisions were changed last minute not by me, unable to get any help an opportunity to sale this house and we both benefit, an agreed to offer signed sales contract and right before closing another over turned agreed to decision. I lost everything and I now have 2 bankruptcies on my credit in 2 years starting over again with nothing but rear debt mainly from Habitat and its my fault. No I only listened to what was told to me. <br> <br>Imagine finding out over a month later things have changed and you guys now require an additional 100,000 plus dollars than what is owed and I'm responsible for all fees. I been in this house through my twenties and thirties. Never was easy but I what I gained I did alone. To strip that of me twice with unfulfilled agreements after all I been through and its ok. I just get additional mortgage fee, another bankruptcy and too much for me to take while trying to start over in the heat because I was expecting to move until Jasmine called and stated that the board would not accept the agreed to price that her and Sharon provided and I agreed to before signing my sales contract days before closing after my house was 90% empty no where to sleep appliances and no explanation outside of the board won't agree to an already agreed to decisions. You all are wrong and its no other way around it. I'm paying for your lack of confirmations and all I get is a "well you sale it or we take it anyway" really. <br> <br>Took me a lot to write this to you all I been contacting everyone else but I'm getting tired and I should be able to tell Habitat what your decisions have done to me. If this is a part of helping your community wow. Right now mentally I'm done all my stuff gone and I'm taking stuff off the street just to rebuild you guys want even more than you've given and to put someone through this. I don't want to hear from Jasmine or Sharon in regards to this because clearly what I listen to and receive via email is not acceptable or is it? <br> <br>What if it was you BOTH TIMES. Starting all over again 2 times 2 years same place because of someone else's error..... <br>

I have been donating for about 4 months, and I got an email from a staff member with an invite to D.C. conference. Beside her name in the signature were (she/her). I immediately called and said to cancel my sponsorship. I was told I was sponsoring education for underprivileged children. Apparently, I was paying for their indoctrination of this “woke” propaganda. It wasn’t obvious at first, but that is what they are about, and I won’t give them a dime.

The National Foundation works in a manner similar to Stand Up to Cancer. It supports innovative partnerships that are intended to accelerate an effective response to significant and, at times, emerging diseases (e.g., COVID-19). This agency is not constrained by the limitations of governmental funding or political priorities. This is a group well worth funding. This has been a four-star rated charity for years, serves a truly vital function, and deserves our support. Thank you for considering it.

As a member / new Chairperson with the Young Professionals Chapter, I am proud to be part of an organization so dedicated to the advancement of black and brown communities.<br><br>The National Urban League not only provides resources (in many cases free) for advancement, from job & skills training to an entrepreneurship institute, but also a support system to help guide people from point A to point B. Our Young Professionals Chapter provides great opportunities for young professionals to network together, give back to their community, and become involved in local / regional initiatives for change.

I used the health services of PP when I was in college and couldn't afford anything else. I was so thankful there was a place I could go! Women (and men) should have control over their own bodies. I believe in the mission of Planned Parenthood, and now that I can make a contribution to help others, I'm doing so.

I cannot say enough great things about an organization committed to serving college students who excel in their academic pursuits by promoting them to continue to excel in service and leadership as well. My experience with this non-profit has been exemplary. They exhibit the values of the organization and work to continuously improve their services and offerings to students. They truly champion the students they serve everyday.

The organization as a whole is amazing and there is none other like it. The services it provides are great to those that do not have vision and hearing insurance or are living on a fixed income. Being a former staff member I can say first hand that the organization has made some definite strides in growing the program over the past few years. The previous program director and programs team did a great job with providing customer service and services statewide. The program staff have been able to secure new partnerships and create new opportunities for the organization. Now as far as executive leadership I can not say as many good things. The previous executive director started out very promising but was found to be involved in wrong doing(basically mismanagement and inappropriate use of donor funds and company credit cards). Kudos to the BOD for acting to remove that person from the position. Unfortunately, the two interim executive directors did not do much in the way to make the organization any better. (Specifically the CFO should have been let go due to neglect of the position which allowed the previous ED to conduct misuse of funds and not being present to provide checks and balances) Both of the interim EDs did not serve a purpose to the organization, from one not consistently being available in the office and not conducting business in a timely manner (from unpaid bills to lack of leadership and favoritism) to the other just filling a space and collecting a pay check. Sadly I am told from current staff members that the programs have diminished with the departure of three long time staff members. It is my hope that with the new ED in place that this place gets back on track and rebuilds partnerships that the interim EDs decided to let go. This organization is a great and need trustworthy, mission minded people working behind the scenes to fulfill its mission.

Working with this organization has opened my eyes to the plight of many elderly members of my community. Without daily visits from Senior Connections volunteers bringing much needed Meals on Wheels, many seniors would have to skip a meal to pay a medical or pharmacy bill, or maybe they just are unable to get to the grocery store or prepare a meal on their own. At the least, a daily visit from a caring volunteer makes sure the senior is okay, and has personal interaction with another human being to quench that need for connection. Senior Connections makes it possible for seniors to 'age in place,' in the comfort of their own home, safely, with dignity and grace. It is our duty as a community to honor and protect our elders, and supporting this organization and its mission is a good way to do that. Even if you can only donate five or ten dollars, that would purchase several meals!<br><br>Lizbeth D.

Love and justice for my neighbors.<br><br>Over 4 years ago, I left my comfort zone and everything that was familiar to join a wonderful community in Atlanta, GA. Little did I know, the Andrew P. Stewart Center would have such a lasting impact on me. I did not know that this community of people would quickly become my neighbors and would continuously inspire me years later. <br><br>I give because our students may have limited access to educational resources, but still deserve the same support and attention as those with an abundance of resources. <br><br>I give because our children deserve an educational system that supports them as individuals, writers, readers, engineers, instead of judging them by their state test scores and standards. <br><br>I give because our kids are constantly teaching me and reminding me what it means to love one another. <br><br>I give because our families deserve to have access to wellness resources and quality housing. <br><br>I give because &ldquo;justice is what love looks like in public.&rdquo; <br><br>The Andrew P. Stewart Center strives to promote strong communities through educational initiatives, spiritual enrichment opportunities, and wellness resources. The Stewart Center changed my life and will always be a part of who I am. It has been amazing for me to learn, love, grow, and serve alongside my neighbors of southwest Atlanta. <br><br>So, what inspires me to give? Love and justice for my neighbors.

I can say that some of the past members was friends with Robert Woods who stole over 78,000 dollars from this association. I will add that some of the members then and now support this person who stole from Cabbagetown. <br>This nonprofit association has a shady background even before Robert Woods and if you not in their click you will be a target.

With a city the size of Atlanta, it's shocking in recent years to see this group shrink in size under the current leadership. Something has happened to this <br>group in recent years. The sound is clean but without passion. They used to have a huge wall of sound that the unveiled each concert at key moments that made your hair stand up. That is gone. The audience and the members are aging. Members who sang in the group for many years have gradually stopped singing, and too few people have replaced them. At the recent holiday concert, fewer than 85 members sang. In its heyday, over 125 members sang. The summer Cher concert was an epic disaster. Sound problems resulted in a 45 minute intermission that caused many patrons to leave. Many of whom probably won't come back. There are too many options in this city. <br>With such a beautiful and important mission, someone needs to make the hard and obvious decisions to stop the bleeding before this group becomes a thing of the past.

Day1, part of the Alliance for Christian Media has been providing inspiring messages from outstanding preachers for 70 years. The weekly broadcasts reach over 200 stations across the US and internationally. <br>The preaching is so amazing and so timely.

This foundation provides much needed funding for new science that is not yet proven enough to gain funding from the NIH or other such sources. To date more that $2,000,000 has been granted to the research that the medical review board, which is made up of the top people from Duke, Emory, UAB and Moffitt, deem the best science from the grant requests received each year. I can't tell you how many times we have heard the research scientist that have received a grant from the SBTF have told us that with this seed money, their research would have never happened.

I contacted this organization and left several voicemails; None of my voicemails were returned. I called multiple times and could not reach anyone who could help me. They claim to provide medical assistance yet don't really come through when you contact them. It's really unprofessional to not return phonecalls and appear absolutely vacant. Is this organization actually existing to serve?

Attended the Fab Four performance last night. Never again. As long as they are aligned with the lying thieves at TICKETMASTER, they've seen the last dollar from me. Apparently there were seven rows of idiots (my family included) that fell for TICKETMASTER lies, that paid a premium price PLUS the all their exorbitant fees. These seven rows were CRAMMED in the VERY LAST SEVEN ROWS, while nearly half the room was empty! I actually took a picture....just wish I could post it with this review. Well do you think those were BEST AVAILABLE SEATS, now that we can see what went unsold? TICKETMASTER mafia tactics. Run everyone else out of business, then do and charge ANYTHING YOU LIKE. Like I said-Arts Center....never again while you are associated with TICKETMASTER.

City of Refuge provided my family with a comfortable place to live, great food service, daycare for my chldren, counseling, and opportunities to prepare myself for life after living in Eden Village. The staff were helpful and my family is doing great now. Thanks to all the people who work at City of Refuge for caring for me and my kids.

This is by far one of the best homeless organizations in Atlanta, GA.I can say this because in my line of work I have visited many of the homeless organizations here. It is clean, friendly, and does a great job offering the clients here the resources they need to thrive and succeed in the community. If you care about homelessness at all in Atlanta, send your money here. It will not be wasted and it will make a great impact.

United Way gets more bang for the buck. While other organizations focus solely on specific areas, United Way makes an impact in hundreds of areas, creating holistic solutions! From supporting programs that teach the blind to live with dignity and independence, to helping children succeed in school, providing meals to home-bound elderly, I have found United Way's reach to be wider and stronger than any other in the metro region! Wow! I am not surprised the organization continues to do well on Charity Navigator because its fiscal responsibility and high regard among community sectors, leaders and donors give it a powerful reputation we all can trust! Congratulations United Way! Keep up the great work!!!
