DTCare gave me an opportunity to a better education and offered me ,my brother , sister and fellow students I have come to know as friends an even greater future without them I would not be where I currently am I am greatful for the help we have received from DTCare.
DT Care is a vital organization that is coordinating truly innovative and impactful mental health care. I work with them as a volunteer, connecting with and supporting Ukrainian Art Therapists. The DT Care coordination of services, in the midst of fast changing landscapes overseas, is organized in a way where I have confidence that attention is paid to even small details. What most inspires me as I work with them is that they are not only committed to new ideas, such as art therapy, but they work closely with Ukranian partners. In other words, this is an organization that listens to the needs of the people on the ground in the host country , and responds with local US support, that reaches to the other side of the world. I was also inspired by the way they reached out initially to me as a content expert in art therapy, to explore the possibility of volunteering, but how they then have followed through to build a team of partners. I also have confidence funding is being appropriately allocated to truly benefit our Ukranian partners. DT care is like a stone thrown into a pond that creates ripples that spread far and wide, even to other shores.
I have donated several times to DTCare because they have been giving items to citizens of 3rd world countries. These people need so much help. Recently DTCare has been sending donations for the people of Ukraine. They have a house in Panama that houses women who have been abused and raped. Some are young girls who end up pregnant. If they become pregnant they can no longer go to school. There is a school set up at the home with a teacher to provide education. This is a wonderful non profit that certainly deserves a badge.
