I've been a volunteer for the museums for 4 years and go almost every weekend. I love the staff and my fellow volunteers, everyone is super nice and friendly. I super enjoy helping with events like Dinoween or Mystery at the Museum. It's been a great honor to be apart of the museums support team :>

Y'all are horrible because I didn't have a CPS case I had to go back to my abusive baby daddy with my two-year-old because y'all wouldn't help me or neither would anybody else I would never recommend y'all to anybody else suck y'all need to be closed down you're the worst or the worst to tell somebody to go back to their kid's father that's beating them with their two year olds and not want to help me when I ask for helping broke down on my knees and cried is horrible they need to be closed down

I am a single dad of a 3-year-old little girl. I currently have sole legal custody. Her mother has mental health issues, has used household chemicals on herself and my daughter, and has lost custody of her other 3 children. She has committed domestic violence against me. She files non-stop motions I am constantly forced to respond to. I lost my job as a result, am going to school, defend myself in court, and care for my daughter full-time. I currently receive state benefits and am trying to gain meaningful employment in a new field while battling an abuse ex for my daughter's protection. <br><br>I applied for Nevada Legal Aid for representation twice. They denied me once for reasons that sounded reasonable at the time even though the person who referred me had identical circumstances and they chose to help HER. However, SHE had a DV on her record and my record is clean. I satisfied their requests and for a second time and they still denied me. <br><br>The first "screener" was nice and polite but denied me. The second "screener" Irene had no personality or signs of any customer relation skills and didn't even allow me a proper interview. <br><br>If Legal Aid Center of Nevada is not willing to help me, who can they help??<br><br>I will be looking into appealing their decision and making it known to their donors. I believe this service was set up for people like me and I am still not understanding why they refused me assistance. I am a loving and involved father in a tough spot who only wishes to protect his child. They sent me a bs letter advising me they had limited space. <br><br>The application had indicators that it was specifically for women and my gut tells me that my sex may have had something to do with my denial. Anyone else feel this way? <br>

Since David Robeck joined Bridge Counseling Associates as CEO the agency has grown exponentially in number of clinicians and types of services offered. Under David’s leadership Bridge has become the largest behavioral health nonprofit agency in Nevada. I have been so touched by the countless stories of clients who have been successfully treated and are leading happy productive lives. Recently Bridge was awarded a $500,000 grant from the Nevada Women’s Philanthropy Group for a Child and Youth Community Treatment Center, a passion near and dear to David’s heart, who adopted four special needs children from Russia. I have and will continue to recommend friends and family to this caring and highly effective agency.

I loved the Triangle Club. Can't thank all the members who helped me enough. God bless everyone and I can't wait to see all of you on the other side!

My 4 year old son and I have been attending the free music class through DSOSN for a few months now. It is so much fun! Miss Emily is patient and gives my son the repetition and time he needs to copy her movements.

The gem of the Las Vegas Valley is Red Rock Canyon National Conservation Area. The contributions of the members and volunteers of Friends of Red Rock Canyon make a huge contribution to keeping Red Rock pristine. Cleaning the canyon, hauling out the trash, removing graffiti, maintaining the landscape, cataloging the cultural resources, staffing the information desk and much, much more. Volunteer hours equated to more than 8 full-time employees last year. With 2 million visitors a year and shrinking federal budgets, Red Rock needs all the friends it can get...even this bobcat who visited the tortoise habitat recently!

Great for youthBoys and Girls (14 and older). Three great camps and tons of great programs. Great volunteers and staff.

Received a right to sue letter for sexual harassment against this agency after being fired for filing a witness report for two co-workers. It receives lots of federal dollars intended to improve the lives of people with disabilities, but they have no visible online 990 results nor are they a member-based organization that is transparent in their operations. I did not sue, because it is THE protection and advocacy agency for the state of Nevada, but it does very little legal work, mostly just social work.

I've been unemployed for 4 years. I asked Nevada legal services for help with an unemployment hearing. Staff attorney Dawn Miller was the attorney assigned to my case. She never showed up for my unemployment hearing, causing me to lose the case. <br> <br>Attorney David Olsham the managing attorney, could care less. David Olsham told me on the phone that he's going to put false information in my file. Nevada Legal Services is a fraud non-profit. They don't care about indigent people. They are suppose to help indigent people with unemployment claims, but they could care less. I guess they don't know what it's like to have hunger pains and no job.

NAAFA produces a great selection of print materials that I have found beneficial over the past 30 years. Some are ideal for well meaning family and friends but the most important I have passed on to my healthcare providers. Medical bias about size has caused me to receive inadequate care and has discouraged me from seeking much needed healthcare. Just having a well written brochure in hand can make all the difference.

I discovered Girl Scouts of Southern Nevada when I started to donate to the Camp Foxtail campaign. On my tour of the remote camp I could envision the smiles and laughter and even the challenges a girl goes through during her week stay. I think it's amazing the organization helps with scholarships to girls who might not be able to afford camp. I worked at a kids camp for three years and it is amazing to see how they grow and discover themselves year after year.

FEAT helped me find the right services for my son. They supported me emotionally and provided the education I needed to make smarth choices for my son and my family.

Nevada PEP has been instrumental in supporting families with special needs chidren. I have been involved with this wonderfulorganization for many years. The advocates have helped many of the families that I come in contact with. <br>Many families experiece frustration when looking fro educational supports for their children.Nevada PEP works closely with many districts throuchout the state of Nevada to provide assistance for the families of these children.Students have a far greater chance to succeed within an educational setting when Nevada PEP is involved!! <br>
