I am a woodworker and love using my skills to make items for causes like Neurofibromatosis First Inc. They let me use my creativity to make what ever I like with no pressure. They are appreciative of everything people do for them and not one person gets a paycheck from the proceeds. That is one of the reasons I love this non profit. I want to know that the monies raised by my hand made items goes toward the people who need it and research for NF, Not someones wallet.

I became aware of neurofibromatosis after meeting Crystal Reith and her daughter Myshell.
Myshell had a dream to find a way to end NF. She was passionate about this dream!
Her passion made me want to carry on this dream and help in any way I could!
Being part of this organization has opened my eyes to the number of people affected by NF, and has made me more determined to help finding ways to fund research for a cure.
NF First uses 100% of money raised to bring awareness and education of NF.
I am proud to be a volunteer for this organization, and will continue to help Myshell's dream come true!
We have been involved with fundraising for NF and other groups for many years. When we found out Myshell wanted to do something for NF we felt the need to help where we could. It's not about the pat on the back or recognition for yourself, but when you collect thousands of dollars and find out it doesn't even support the people you see at the walk, picnics, and parades it is disheartening. When Crystal and Kurt said they were starting Neurofibromatosis First Inc., the funds would stay in our area, and help people we know who are affected we were ecstatic.
Myshell's dream was to help her fellow NF family members feel like their voice's were heard, finance medical testing and treatment. No one is paid so ALL the money goes toward the cause not in someones pocket. We are so proud of Crystal, Kurt, Cindy, Kurt Jr, and Abby and everyone else who volunteer and makes a difference. Myshell is looking down from Heaven watching all of us and is very proud that we are carrying on her dream.

I volunteer for NF First Kickin’ it in the Park for NF Walk and I’m a donor! I’m so proud to volunteer with NF First. 100% of all funds raised is used for research. The family who started NF First in honor of their daughter, Myshell’s dream, works tirelessly year around to make the walk so successful; I happily make the 5-hr round trip to help out.
I volunteered for NFs kicking it in the park 2019. Seeing the passion the event organizers had opened my heart for everyone affected by Neurofibromatosis. I am so honored to have been able to be a part of this organization and will gladly volunteer again to bring Neurofibromatosis awareness to the community and help raise funds to research this disease because of those involved with Neurofibromatosis First!
NF was founded by a family who's daughter had NF and had a dream. Her dream was to find an end to NF. To create a nonprofit where ALL of the money raised goes to help find a cure. NO salaries are taken, the entire board volunteers their time, their talent and their treasure. The board is 100% invested in supporting Myshells dream. They work year round planning events and getting the word out about their fundraising events. Too often a large portion of what is raised is lost to salaries or to "pay" for the time it takes to invest the money (such as local community foundations) NOT THIS ONE. You give $100.... then 100% of the $100 goes towards the goal of ending NF

It is very heartening that ALL of the funds raised go to ending this disorder. The board is very invested in making a difference.
I was introduced when I met Myshell Reith and her parents Crystal and Kurt. A wonderful family. Myshell suffered with neurofibromitosis from birth. She was bubbly and sweet and so full of life and dreams. Her family leads the fight. Her mom is always organizing walks and parades and the whole family is on the front lines leading the way to find a cure for this horrible disease. They are all an inspiration.
NF first is a wonderful , caring , personal non profit organization. The amount of effort that goes into this organization is incredible . Our family will be forever grateful for the people that run this group .
I was involved with another NF Group / Organization for several years.
That Organization was good, but lacked local support / opportunities.
Being involved with NF First has afforded me opportunities to be involved locally, near the community I live in.
Thus;
* I can better support local / regional activities & fund raising efforts.
* Decisions for use of organization funds & resources are made such that they are utilized in a manner that best serves community needs & the organization's core values.
I found this nonprofit , through a friend in college . Then, met the family . This is one of the most caring , real organizations . All the money , stays local and helps Neurofibromatosis patients and family, there is no high paid office people taking money away from what is really important, finding a cure and support the families who are effected by this disease. I truly recommend this nonprofit, they are some the most hard working people . I know.
