Nonprofit Overview

Causes: Education, Parent & Teacher Groups, Preschools, Primary & Elementary Schools, Special Education

Mission: We teach children who are deaf or hard of hearing to talk and we teach others to do it, too. The Moog Center provides a supportive and stimulating learning environment for children who are deaf or hard of hearing and their families. From the time we begin working with children and their families, our program focuses on helping the children learn to use spoken language well enough for that to be their means of communicating. Our emphasis on very young children underlines our belief in capitalizing on the critical learning period for language, namely birth to early elementary years.

The Moog Center is outstanding. As an alumna, bilateral cochlear implant user, and now a practicing Speech Language Pathologist I am incredibly thankful for Moog. What sets Moog apart is the highly individualized therapy and the use of advanced and current research. Moog has a unique team of teachers, audiologists and administration who are highly invested in the lives and success of their students. Moog does a wonderful job of partnering with parents and families to achieve a students' absolute best both in and out of the classroom.

I was at the Moog Center from 2003 to 2007. I‘m so thankful for their help and support so I would have the opportunity to be mainstreamed. Learning to talk affects the rest of your life. The teachers and audiologists knew what they were doing and provided me a path to success.

Thank you for caring to help him and I know you will help others achieve their potential. Moog has so much experience helping deaf children! There is no other place I’d go!

Caring group of teachers, audiologists, and speech language pathologists!! They go above and beyond for their students. It's easy to see the difference the Moog Center makes just by listening to the kids talk and seeing their love for school.

I attended the Parent summer virtual workshop at Moog Center. It was an truly amazing experience. The group sessions were informational - I learned so much about audiology, sound, and how to incorporate language in every day activities. Then the individual sessions - one on one with a Moog professional and my 5 year old (and I) were excellent in building on skills we already had and recommending new ideas/strategies. Plus -their online resources are great for additional ideas. I highly recommend Moog Center.
