I am an intern at GENI starting June 2012 and so far I have had a good experience in working with the various staff members of GENI and the SimCenter. Peter is a very helpful executive and the rest of the staff members are also very encouraging. GENI has a great project in the Project Energy City Competition to help students learn more about environmental concerns all over the world.
Review from Guidestar
Buckminster Fuller asked many questions about making the world work for all humanity. As I read his words, inspired me deeply. This is why I am also a supporter of GENI.
The linking of renewable energy resources around the world, decreasing of world pollution and maintenance of all the precious food production areas on the planet. Maintaining a non polluted water supply for generations of all inhabitants of this precious earth is to me a big priority.
Excessive mining, the over use of chemicals and other dangerous ways of generating energy such as coal seam gas fracking may injure and inflict more harm on people, the earth and our water supply and continue for generations to come. Humanity can no longer justify any benefit to us in the short term.
In 2001 I feel this is especially true for each person alive on the planet, since most of us have come to realise how much of Japan's rich farming land and abundant water has been damaged by radiation.
I support GENI because GENI focuses on finding a sustainable solution to the need of all of the planet's growing economies for larger supplies of sustainable and renewable energy sources.

I have been a volunteer with Global Energy Network Institute for around 5 months, and I am still volunteering there. The staff at GENI is very helpful and gives me an opportunity to work on multiple projects which help me develop my skill set and my area of interest. I would recommend anyone who wants to know more about sustainable renewable resources and their future,to work with GENI.It would give them good exposure.

thank you Pari, it is great to hear from you, we have such fond memories of your time here, thank you for all the work you have done. Micheal
Volunteering at GENI has been very educational for me. I have learned how to use some aspects of Dreamweaver, and most important I enjoy the positive atmosphere and the friendliness of everybody at the office. The Intern Coordinator, Patricia Stevens, takes great care to see that I am working on projects that farther my education relating to all aspects of environmental issues. I am unemployed and want to understand more about environmental solutions around the globe and in the future hope to find an occupation that is related to this subject.
