We have helped so many students get a head start with some of the costs of school. They are always so grateful and proud. For some, it helped them choose to move forward with their schooling. As a Retired Special Needs Educator, I feel so good when I see the smiles and hopes on their faces, and that of their parents.
Los Gatos Rotary Scholarship Fund serves the local community with a focus on encouraging service above self in high school. The fund runs without any staff expenses, and is efficiently/effectively run.

The Los Gatos Scholarship Foundation helps 20+ high school students in the South Bay every year with college tuition. With the price of education soaring, this assists high performing students in taking their next step. The Foundation searches for candidates that not only perform academically but also have a focus on serving others, in line with the "service over self" philosophy of Rotary.
Los Gatos Rotary has been able to give out approximately $40,000 a year to local high school seniors who not only worked hard for their grades but show strong community involvement and leadership skills. Many of these students need the financial support as well so providing them with a scholarship not only helps them financially - but shows them that others believe in them and they are invested in their future. Rotarians who are members of this club meet every week and determine ways they can serve their local community and make the world a better place. Investing in youth is so important as they are our future leaders!
