BAYEMT has genuine staff that support and build students to become skilled EMT's and even better citizens. BAYEMT cannot be compared to any other, wish I could rate the program 10 stars. All the materials needed to master the skills and knowledge needed to pass the National Registry (NREMT) are provided i.e. book, stethoscope, sphygmomanometer, great tutors, extra help... BAYEMT is a mentor to Bay Area's youth and guides every student to a path of success.

This organization is by far the most caring I've personally experienced. Considering the circumstances, the staff involved is very approachable, helpful, and treat you in a family-oriented feel manner. The staff do ensure that each and every individual at this program are all on the same level. There has never been a time that I felt belittled, or that I couldn't turn to anyone for help if something wasn't clear enough. This program has taught me to not only to better myself as an individual, but as a person in society overall. Specially given the circumstances that this program is meant to teach people, in how to be professionals in the medical field. I couldn't have asked for a better EMT program. I liked the fact that it was very close-knit. Yes, in the beginning the class was packed, but despite the full house, I never felt as if I wasn't getting enough from each instructor. The lectures are very organized and straight to the point, it wasn't hard to understand at all. They make it so that the learning experience is far from the typical lectures and skills.
I'm very appreciative of the volunteer events, as it gives students a way to network and get more hands-on experience prior to actually getting out on the field. I really enjoyed clinicals, I wish we could have done more than 2. But overall, I wouldn't change anything about this program and I would do it all over again if I could. I really learned a lot about myself as a person as well as get a better understanding of the medical field itself.
This program is life changing, literally. There are only positive things to say about it. The instructors take their time, inside and outside of the classroom, to make sure the workload is understood and could be managed. Along with the study material, instructors make sure they put personal tasks in your life as individuals to help build our character and sense of responsibility. It exceeds any and every program I have personally heard of in our community. There were hard days, when just getting to the program was a problem, but what the program achieved was making me believe that once I did make it that everything would be alright. Thus far, it has. There were good days, where a class is actually time to catch up on studying, go over troubled area's, and help one another. I commend this program for everything its done, and I give my personal support in an instant.
This program helped me with not only the Medical aspect but it made me learn a lot about myself and how if i put my mind to something there is nothing that can stop me from getting what i want. I recommend that everyone that Reads These reviews will apply to the class. This program will make you a better student and a better person after it is over.
Mr.Jackson has given each and every person that has come through his program a chance to grow and learn something about themselves. He taught me that you never stop learning and to become the best at what you do. He also instilled in me is to know why I'm doing some thing how I'm going to do it and to give the best patient care. In other words know your stuff. It's the best class I have been apart of. If your dedicated and respect Mr.Jackson and the team he has helping him you will succeed. Don't waist their time if your not serious. Being a former student I would go back for seconds. I'm George Fair and proud to have been apart of some thing great.
This organization is staffed by the most caring teachers/mentors I've ever encountered. A lot of the teachers volunteer their time, so their care for the students is completely genuine.
This program places huge emphasis on critical thinking as well as personal growth and development, which makes all the difference in the healthcare field. The things that I learned about myself are things that will help me provide respectful, high-quality patient care when I do start working on an ambulance or in a hospital. This class isn't all about just memorizing facts. They want you to become a better person, which in turn will make you a better EMT, and ultimately a better member of your community.
I cant thank the instructors enough, they are what make this program so different than any other class I've ever taken. They bring a positive attitude to every class, no matter what. I took this class at a really challenging point in my personal life and even when I was having a really bad day, I couldn't get through one class without laughing at least once. The environment created at BayEMT is like a family, which made learning the difficult EMT-B coursework so much easier.
Thank you BayEMT, love you guys
If I can say one word about this program, it is an "opportunity."
It's the opportunity of a life time. An opportunity to get a free EMT education, an opportunity to be surrounded by great instructors that care about the students, the opportunity to challenge yourself and the opportunity to be actively involved in the community through the EMS profession.
I took this course two years ago and have been a skills instructor ever since. It continues to give me opportunities to develop my leadership and EMT skills as well as develop professional connections that are helping me in the process of becoming a firefighter.
Thanks BAY EMT!
This is an excellent organization. I do not believe I can do this program justice with such a small encapsulation, but I will try.
BayEMT is not solely about pushing a crop of students through the National Registry for EMT-Basic. Although the organization provides excellent resources, tutoring, and quality instruction, BayEMT's primary focus is assisting in the personal and intellectual development of its students. The program combines lessons in civics as well as medicine in the hopes of creating not only better EMT's, but better citizens as well.
I give this program 5 stars and honestly if I could give more, I definitely would. This program helped a great deal, and is still helping me to this very day. After I graduated the program in 2011 and passed the NREMT (National Registry Emergency Medical Technician), I returned as an instructor to volunteer my time, helping others in their quest in successfully completing the program. I was living in trasitonal housing with my infant daughter when I took the course. So this was a life altering experience for her and I. I am currently working for an ambulance company, and also working towards starting nursing school soon. I am proud to be Bay EMT alumni!
BayEmt has been by far the most challenging self motivating experience in my life. This program has changed my way of thinking, speaking, and living. I recommend this program to anyone who wants a life changing experience while also gaining knowledge in the health field. Thanks BayEMT for changing my life and helping me reach my goals. I love you guys.
