Such a fun and educational place to go. They allow everyone in through their access for all program. Having my child learn while having fun is such an incredible thing.

Our grandkids have loved the Peace Pavilion ever since they were little, and the museum was in a smaller location. The new building features even more interactive exhibits, and they never tire of visiting, often bringing their cousins and friends along as well. As a grandparent and former teacher, I love that they are learning peace concepts while they’re having fun!

I have two kids. When they were young both, absolutely lit up every time we visited Habitot. The moment we walked in, it felt like a secret world just for children—tucked downstairs, cozy, welcoming, and safe. The staff had this calm, playful magic that made the whole place feel like an extra set of caring hands. My kids would beeline for the water table—sleeves rolled up, giggling, building tiny dams and sending boats on “expeditions.” Then came the space suit: they’d zip in, count down, and blast off into missions with the kind of seriousness only kids can pull off. And the pretending playspace was pure gold—running a make-believe café, turning boxes into buses, teaming up with new friends from other schools. It wasn’t just busy play; it was social, imaginative, confidence-building play. We all want Habitot to come back!!

I first discovered the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library (PTLL) over 18 years ago when my oldest was around 3. He is now 21! I remember how much of a lifesaver it was for me after the birth of my daughter. At the time we were living in a small apartment not far from the Toy Library. We would walk there almost daily so my son could run and play, and I could sit on the comfy couch and breastfeed my baby. I was a young single mom stretched thin, and getting the encouragement, support, and companionship from other moms was exactly what I needed. <br><br>In 2020, I had my last child. I also decided to go back to school and finish my undergraduate degree. After Covid began to ease up, we began visiting the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library. A single mother again, it was one of the few places we could go, where my little one could play and I could study, while still keeping my eyes on him. <br><br>This time around, after being a volunteer member for about a year or two, I joined the board as Treasurer. I have been able to lend my experience of working with families and for nonprofits to help further our mission. <br><br>The Toy Lending Library is such a gem, because beyond being a place to play inside, or a place to discover new toys, it is also a community. I have lived in many cities around the US and there is really nothing else quite like the Pittsburgh Toy Lending Library.<br><br>It is an absolute testament to the value of the PTLL to the Pittsburgh parenting community that we have been able to survive 50 years as a completely volunteer run organization. <br>

After our cat passed I found one looked his twin, after applying online and waiting 2wks and text several times to be told she was on vacation or of town to wait until weekend so Monday when no contact still I get email says declined app cause I poss will get declawed and was told to EDUCATE MYSELF, after willing to pay$100 for a almost 3 yrs old cat

We have been going to the Children’s Museum of Sonoma County (CMOSC) for over 6 years now. We started with our first Grandson and now we bring all three of our Grandsons. It’s an incredible treasure for children in Sonoma County with so many wonderful interesting and interactive exhibits both inside and out that allow children to use their minds and most of their senses. It is well run and thought out, with changing activities, and the employees and staff members are friendly and professional. We have a fabulous time each and every time we go❣️

Make-A-Wish is an amazing organization that enables their wish kids to experience hope, strength and joy at a time when the family needs it most. The wish transports them from a reality filled with treatments and needles, to a worry-free world of laughter and smiles. The team at Make-A-Wish is compassionate, dedicated, and goes above and beyond to make each wish a magical experience. Whether it's meeting a favorite celebrity, traveling to a dream destination, or even becoming a superhero for a day, each wish is tailored to the child’s unique desires and interests, creating memories that last a lifetime.

This nonprofit organization is truly remarkable. When Children's Museum of Acadiana was contacted regarding the possibility of providing passes for a family of a child celebrating their birthdays at a nearby homeless shelter, they didn't hesitate to offer their assistance. Not only did they help that family, but they also extended their support to many others in need. We are incredibly grateful to be partnered with such an amazing organization! <br>The Akidiana Project

I called Golden Carrot near tears trying to find a sanctuary for my rescue horse. The owner shamed me and yelled at me and didn't even let me speak. She continued to shame me in an email response. It got nasty from there. Very bad experience. beware.

Fun science and children's museum in downtown Asheville. Perfect place to spend and hour or two. Looks to have a ton of STEAM programing from Saturday science activities, field trips, and after schools.

My family and I love the Children’s Museum. My 6-year-old enjoys the interactive activities in the Innovation Station and my 3-year-old loves to use his imagination in Main Street. My wife and I like how the space is clean and safe and that we can relax or catch up on work while the kids have a great time.

This space is a wonderful asset in Beaver Falls! Neighborhood North is a welcoming museum for kids and families. They also do a great job connecting with our local schools and communities. This is a great spot to visit if you are from out of town, or to become a member if you live nearby!

I have zero words for what happened this AM here. We enjoy bringing our children to the Hands on Museum off of Beach Blvd, however, today we went to get an annual membership since the girls love coming here so much and we were denied to put both of our names on the membership because we are not a "Mom and Dad" although they still charged us for the 2 parent membership. <br><br>I literally have NO words for this absurd, homophobic, discriminatory behavior! We will NEVER be back to this place! <br><br>After digging in deeper, we found a "Boycott The Hands on Childrens Museum Jacksonville" fb page. That page was made in 2013 , so NOTHING has changed since then!!<br><br>Shame on this non profit and the horrible homophonic owner who we had the wonderful pleasure of meeting <br><br>

This community treasure was started 30 years ago to fill a much-needed gap for families with young children to experience art, music, world cultures, science, history, etc. in a meaningful way. Since then we have served countless children and their accompanying caregivers.<br><br>The facility, a re-purposed radio station, sits in a five-acre park at the edge of Spa Creek. There are two nature trails, a Truck Pit, a Music Garden, a pretend boat made of logs, a Little Free Library, a pair of Whisper Dishes, and many other delights to discover.<br><br>An important part of our mission is to serve ALL our children which often means overcoming economic barriers. Your donation helps to provide a Chesapeake Children's Museum experience for children and families who otherwise could not afford it.

Great museum that supports outside of the box thinking. Would be great if the head of the museum could think outside the box when it comes to parking. Waited 30 mins to finally get out of the parking lot. Ridiculous and we won’t be coming back because of it.

I am a 70 year old and I love the Kidzone ! I was first attracted to the museum by their vision of children learning through play. As I became more involved with the Director and the staff I started to understand how important their role in our community is. Important enough that I joined the Board of Directors and worked on the board for several years. The team is amazing and their bilingual staff do incredible outreach to our community. The museum works collaboratively with the School District and many other organizations for the benefit of the children in our communities. They are working hard to reopen safely during this time of Covid. Given the small space of the current museum this is a challenge and they are doing a remarkable job. It is a joy to work with Carol, Jenn and team. Check out the new podcast series "Small Talk Tahoe" produced by Helen one of their hard working volunteers. As Truckee and North Tahoe continue to grow, the team at the museum are working hard to ensure we have the space and programing to meet the need.

Each Spring, Early Childhood Educators who have applied and won a Terri Lynne Lokoff National Child Care Teacher Award come to Philadelphia to celebrate their achievement and accept their awards. The teachers are honored for the valuable work they do and the creative project they have proposed for their early childhood classroom/ or family childcare program. <br><br>As an early childhood educator and advocate for over 30 years, it is an honor for me to have volunteered for the Terri Lynne Lokoff National Child Care Teacher Award Event for over 13 years. It is always a joy to meet and share time with the winners during the 2-day event. <br><br>In Philadelphia, being honored as professional, creative Early Childhood Educators who play a critical role in providing high quality early care and education to our nation’s young children, the teachers feel appreciated as important members of our society. Often, they do not feel valued - as they usually receive little respect and work for lower compensation than elementary school teachers. Here, the Terri Lynne Lokoff National Child Care Teacher Award event is a 2-day opportunity for them to receive an award, be honored, treated royally and feel extremely valued! <br><br>As a volunteer for this special event, the rewards I see are - the joy and happiness that is expressed, the camaraderie and friendships that develop, the increased pride in their profession, and the affirmation that Early Childhood Educators are valued in our society for the important work they do. Every year I am so grateful and proud of the Terri Lynne Lokoff Child Care Foundation and their dedication to this event!<br>

Over 60 Empowered Woman books were donated to the Girl Scouts that had a event last month at the Dayton Womans Club. It tells the history of the clubhouse and it educated them about 19th Amendment to the Constitution permitting American woman the right to vote! The Girl Scouts loved it and I do too!

An amazing place for kiddos of all ages to learn, play and have fun.

Working at Please Touch Museum is like being in an emotionally abusive relationship. The work environment is brutal and inhumane. The museum's CEO is a bully who carefully manages her reputation on the outside but on the inside instills fear and terror among hardworking, dedicated staff. Browbeating, berating, constant criticism, and disrespecting are the norm. Temper tantrums and tirades, deception and lies, and undermining and manipulation are her MO. There's constant scrutiny and complete lack of trust, with objectives always changing, micromanagment, and undermining of staff. 100% staff turnover rate is a clear indicator. The tragedy is there is no law to protect staff who are victims of the abuse. Sadly, HR cares not at all, the board turns a blind eye, and the cycle of abuse continues.

The all-volunteer, grass roots Founding Board of Directors has done astonishing work! They have completed all due diligence including market study and operations plan, concept design, social and fiscal impact study, fundraising feasibility, and building assessments, secured terms to purchase the former library building in Camarillo, established strong collaborative bonds with community organizations including the school districts, libraries and Boys & Girls Clubs throughout the county as well as the Autism Society. Once they raise the capital to build out this regional community resource, the children, families, and businesses of Ventura County will benefit tremendously!

I loved "playing scientist" when I was a little girl but hated science class at school. All we seemed to do was listen to our teacher, read aloud from a textbook, and feed her the answers to questions on written tests. When I brought my five-year-old daughter to a birthday party at the Science Museum about 13-14 years ago and realized that the party-goers were having FUN while learning, I enrolled her the very next week in an after-school program at SMLI. She then attended summer camp for years, starting with one week the first summer, three the next, and all eight weeks the following year. She looked forward to camp all year long. My daughter is now a freshman in college, pre-med, with hopes of being what I'm NOT: A neurosurgeon! That might change, of course, but she admits that SMLI not only jump started her interest in science but also sustained it by keeping the subjects she studied there interesting and, well, FUN! I've recommended SMLI's programs to dozens of young moms over the years, especially to mothers of girls, and I'm happy to say that most of them were grateful for my recommendation!

wonder works is a nice museum!Children can do many creative things here.It’s a good place for imagination.People working here is very patient and nice!The loose part is really cool!Also,the art room is fantastic.There are a lot of special events here,children will be really excited and enjoyable!

Great little center! The children enjoyed the puppet show and came into the mobile to explore 'hands on learning.' For such a little space it packs in great ways to experience peacemaking skills.
