Mission: Minnesota children's museum is dedicated to championing the power of play in learning and to providing children with a fun, hands-on and stimulating environment to explore and discover. Membership services develops a member base for the organization while providing numerour services and events throughout the year. Museum satelite services: minnesota children's museum of rochester opened in april 2012. This fiscal year, rochester welcomed 30,000 visitors. In addition to providing play for all free memberships to low-income families in sourthern minnesota, the museum welcomed visitors through family nights and school groups as part of the play for all access program. Capital project: the museum is poised to begin construction on its capital expansion project in fall 2015. The museum received $14,000,000 in state bonding during the 2014 legislative session. The capital project will be managed to a break-even bottom line with capital campaign revenue covering all associated capital expenses.
