My children enjoyed playing in the Lazer Maze. They liked the Peace in the Planet caring for the environment & recycling. I liked that my children learned about the Aboriginal people in Australia, Germany, New Mexico learning about the Pueblo Native Americans, Peru, & Africa. There were a lot of activities for the children to do and learning about being peaceful & working together.

The Peace Pavilion provides a wonderful experience for children of all ages. I have had the opportunity to help build some of the exhibits and worked with some wonderful people that cared deeply about children. The Pavilion offers fun hands-on learning experiences that teach good peacemaking and decision-making skills. It's nice to be part of something that will continue to serve the community teaching peaceful living for many years to come.

Thanks for sharing your time and expertise in helping create the Peace Pavilion exhibits! We appreciate and value the legacy you've built for future generations of kids learning about peace through inclusive activities.
I started out as a volunteer at the very beginning of the concept of teaching children about peace and becoming peacemakers. It has been quite the experience to watch it grow into the larger museum that it is today. I love watching the children interact with each of the exhibits and learning centers. Their eyes light up when they can accomplish one of the challenges and realize it can help them be more peaceful. It has been well worth the time and efforts of so many people who have shared their gifts and talents in order to make this dream a reality. Todays children and tomorrows will all benefit as they learn these fun handson skills.

I've been volunteering with the Children's Peace Pavilion since it's inception 20 some years ago. They have excellent programming for children and their families to learn peacemaking skills. The children are always excited to do the hands-on activities and share what they've learned. They help bring peace into the lives of children in their homes, schools, and communities. I love seeing the children's eyes light up when they realize they can make a difference in the world.

We're so happy that you and your grandkids had a fun and memorable time exploring the exhibit areas together! We love offering interactive experiences that teach kids the values of peace, empathy, and cooperation through playful, personal discovery. Thanks for sharing your experience!
The Peace Pavilion, the main focus of PeacePathways, is a wonderful place where kids can learn through interactive exhibits about many concepts of peace. My grandson made the comment after a visit that he had never thought about the concept of having peace for yourself. One usually thinks of peace in terms of interaction with someone else. But making healthy, peaceful choices for yourself is important also.
The Pavilion continues to add exhibits and one of the newest ones is in Peace for Everyone where you can hear the word peace in about fifty different languages and see on a map where that language is spoken.
They also have a great area for birthday parties which includes access to the exhibits.

Talk about world changing! This organization captured my heart five years ago with its exciting mission: teach youth about peace!. All one has to do is look at the news to see its importance. With a vividly colored building and graduated phases (Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, Peace for the Planet) its hands-on approach and teaching exhibits makes learning about peace fun! Much hard work has created an energy efficient building with event space as well as "classrooms." I am proud to be a part of this excellent not-for-profit which is essential to learning both interpersonal relations and the care-taking of our planet. Come and see!
I have been a monthly donor for PeacePathways for about 2 years. I was also instrumental in making a sizeable donation for our congregation. PeacePathways runs the Peace Pavilion in Independence, Missouri. The Peace Pavilion is beautifully colorful inside and out. It has wonderful, creative exhibits that teach principles for pursuing peace in our daily lives. The exhibits are hands on and very appealing for all ages. There are areas that can be rented for parties & other events. Our 8 year old granddaughter had a birthday party there; she and her friends thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The organization is working to make the Peace Pavilion building energy efficient and as cost effective as possible. I know that our donations are being used very well and will continue to support them as much as we can.
The Peace Pavilion has something for all ages. It is very interactive for children and adults. I have brought my daughter there multiple times and we always enjoy our time there. The staff is always very nice and helpful. I really enjoy watching the other children work together and problem solve. Children leave with more confidence in their ability to resolve problems with a peaceful solution.

I love the Peace Pavilion/ PeacePathways! In today's world that needs so much peace, I feel blessed to have such a wonderful and essential community asset right here in the greater KC area! From tots to early teens there are loads of amazing hands-on exhibits that teach peacemaking skills to all in fun and unforgettable ways. I love it so much I went from being a visitor to a donor. Now I'm a regular volunteer.
Although this is sponsored by the Community of Christ, it is a nonprofit that promotes peace for everyone. Pathways to peace begins with the young but can be embraced by any age. This learning experience is the way to lasting peace in the world. It is worth your time and treasure to support this organization. It is vital for our wellbeing in the world.
As a teacher of 42 years, I can highly recommend the Peace Pavilion as a place children, and even adults, can learn about other cultures and the importance of peace- making for self, others, and the environment There are delightful and engaging interactive activities for all.
I have visited the Peace Pavilion several times with family and friends in the past and watched their progress as they moved and expanded their learning center in their new building. It is a wonderful hands on opportunity for children of all ages to come and learn about being kind to others and to our world. And they have fun learning and interacting as individuals and groups. There are schools that routinely bring their students year after year because they appreciate what the Peace Pavilian has to offer.
I was there in April, and explored the museum with my friend. The exhibits were fresh, up todate and clean. It was inspiring to see all the options children have to learn about personal peace as well as world peace. I wish we had this museum in my hometown.

I used to go to the Peace Pavilion as a child and always loved all of the activities (such as making masks and peace in different language crayon rubbings). Even now in my 20s I will visit with my friends and remember some of the fun times we had learning about peace. You're never too old to learn about peace!
I can't wait to take my children there in the future, because they are such an incredible program with incredible staff and volunteers.
Children lucky enough to visit the Peace Pavilion in Independence, MO, don’t just have fun – they learn that they have the power to make peace possible in their homes, schools, and world. Through activities that encourage understanding among cultures and our world, children learn how to recognize the needs of others and promote peaceful relationships that embrace the diversity and uniqueness of creation. Designed for preschool and elementary children, it provides ideas not only for learning, but for the challenges of daily life; lessons that instill caring which can last a lifetime.
Eyes pop open and excitement builds as children enter a world of exploration and learning. An artificial tree standing 8 feet tall greets them as they scan the opportunities in this space. Games and interactive experiences that teach skills in Peace for Me, Peace for Us, Peace for Everyone, and Peace for the Planet lead them into a deeper understanding of the world in which they live. Stop! Think! Peace! puppets emphasize a practical way to face and solve conflict. I have seen new understanding on the faces of so many children as I have volunteered as a docent. What a critical and essential resource for our community.
The Peace Pavilion is a unique interactive children’s museum designed to teach the concepts of peace through creative, fun, child-centered learning activities. Every element in the museum is designed to empower children to incorporate peacemaking skills into their everyday lives. Our current outreach is primarily to elementary age students. But in addition to this, we plan to have programs, activities and exhibits that we can offer to middle school and high school age students as well as adults.
The staff at the Peace Pavilion is so kind and patient. The exhibits and lessons make the very abstract concept of peace more concrete. We will definitely use the lessons we learned at the Peace Pavilion in our classroom. We will absolutely return for another visit. I am so thankful they are sharing this wonderful resource with our community. They are helping prepare future peacemakers. We love the Peace Pavilion.
