I am a volunteer for Storm’s Angels Rescue and I see what they do on a daily basis. Rescue life is difficult, yet the volunteers led by the Founder are tireless to do what they can to save as many lives as possible. During the warmer months, known as kitten season in rescue, are stressful especially for a foster-based rescue. Their fosters take in multiple animals if necessary, otherwise so many in need would be turned away. Even as it is, due to human neglect and failure to spay and neuter, the demand outweighs even the most hardworking rescue. Imagine having to turn away a dozen pregnant cats, kittens, injured strays and feral cats every day because there simply isn’t room. Unfortunately people can be critical if Storm’s Angels or any rescue have to turn down their requests. But on the other side of things, they are doing the best they can. Rescuers NEVER get a day off, and they see untold suffering.

I’m here to say that Storm’s Angels is the best of the best. They save animals that others turn away. So don’t pay attention to the handful with negative experiences. Things sometimes happen, absolutely. Adopted pets can become ill or can harbor illnesses that are unseen. They can also manifest behavioral issues not seen in their foster environment. No system is perfect. My advice is if you are unhappy with how any rescue operates, then by all means START YOUR OWN. Soon you’ll be singing a different tune.

Thanks Storm’s Rescue for all you do. It is a privilege to volunteer for you!

I ended up with a bunch of stray cats around my house from a neighbor that was taking care of them and then died and then lost their house... I was leaving food on the porch for two strays when I ended up with all of these other cats...I was referred to storm angels for trap neuter and return because I'm on a fixed income and I couldn't afford to fix all these cats... Storm Angels gave me a glimmer of hope and told me that they would help me trap neuter and return the cats and that they would start next week which was 3 months ago and I haven't heard from them since... Now I have a bunch of kittens I have to worry about and try to get rid of and one of the mamas died... I have been sending storm Angels messages telling them my concerns and I haven't heard back from them at all... They shouldn't give people a glimmer of hope and raise up their expectations and then just ditch them...

Honestly I wasn’t planning on posting but I wish I went somewhere else to adopt. I had two dogs and a cat before adopting two more cats and never had issues. Once bringing in two more cats we adopted we noticed dry skin very early on and asked about it but they played it off like it was nothing. Then later on it being a bigger concern once giving them multiple baths they kept trying to tell us it might be fleas but we didn’t see any fleas or bugs on the animals and our other animals were fine. Even the vet they go through didn’t seem to care and wasn’t informative. Just throwing out guesses. Now my boyfriend has ringworm and one of our other cats. We will soon know if any of the other animals have it. They don’t keep the animals separated and not very clean. I recommend going to a different place or treating/ taking kittens to a different vet IMMEDIATELY after you get one from here. Protecting my other animals from stuff was big for me and now they all are seeming to have issues we never had before.

I was hesitant to even write up a review but I feel I need to let people know my experience with this rescue place.
I adopted a 1 year old cat a month ago tomorrow. When I first contacted the rescue place I spoke to a lady named Caroline who said that cat was pulled out of Pet Smart because he was sick and loosing hair on his legs but the hair is growing back and was given a clean bill of health . She gave my number to his foster mom and we talked and it was decided I was going to adopt him that week. We drove an hour and half to rescue this little boy. When we arrived at the house where the foster lived it was shocking to say the least. The house smelled of urine and she had about 10 or more cats walking around and several dogs upstairs in cages just barking away. The conditions were not at all what I expected that a foster would be .
We paid the $75 and was given a bag of food in a ziplock baggie and was given shot records. The foster mom showed me where his leg hair was just about grown back and it looked good to me. She said he was a sweet boy.

A few days after bringing him home I noticed his right eye was watering and cleaned it up and didn’t think to much of it . After a week I noticed it wasn’t clearing up so I contacted the FB page to get in contact with someone regarding it , to see if they had known about an issue . The person I was communicating with offer to send meds right away. I was thankful. Today, I noticed that he has a bald spot on the back of his neck, I was shocked , I immediately text the foster mom and contacted the fb page again to ask if they new what the pre- existing issue was because I just can’t afford to take a cat to the vet if they already knew what the issue was. The person who contacted me from my fb message said that he didn’t have an pre- existing issue , that he was sick and removed from pet smart because of a ulcer in his mouth ( which I new nothing about) and all pets were removed because of Covid -19. Then the person went on to say that he is allergic to flea medication and was seen twice my vets for this issue, which I was not informed about. Nothing was in his records that I was given to inform me about any of his conditions which might be helpful to the new owner . She than went on to say I was a irresponsible pet owner and threatened me to have a police escort to come retrieve the cat because I don’t have money to take the cat to the vet.
What I don’t have money for is to pay a vet for a pre - existing problem that they already clearly new about. I’ve only had the cat for 3 .5 weeks, They said I could return the cat for a refund? Really, this poor cat has been in several different foster homes I was told. I was clearly trying to get information so perhaps I could fix the issues without a vet, like over the counter meds. They got really defensive.
If they would of informed me regarding his hair loss issues I wouldn’t of contacted them. I have donated several items to this organization and was treated so poorly and threatened. If this is how that treat the people who adopt their animals just imagine how they treat the animals! They would not give me the vet information so I called the vet that was on his medical records and they told me he had a eye infection and an upper respiratory infection in 9/19. Which again was not inform , nor was on his records. What else are they not telling me. I would never adopt from the place again.
They will hide information from you. These poor innocent animals .
All I wanted was information and all I got was smart / rude insulting comments.

This amazing rescue group does so much to help the animals. They rescue animals and bring them back to being healthy, happy and loved. They are a nonprofit group and rely solely on donations and the help of their volunteers and fosters. You can just really tell they love the animals and the work they are doing for them.

This rescue is foster based and does everything it can for companion animals who other rescues consider unadoptable. I have only had positive experiences with them and I am proud to say I'm a foster and volunteer with this organization.

Storm's Angels is a hardworking, all volunteer 501c3 organization. The animals reside in foster homes until adopted. Storm's Angel' s helps so many animals who would have otherwise perished in overcrowded shelters, neglectful situations or to the harsh conditions outdoors.

Many lives saved came direct from death row at Ohio shelters.

This rescue and their fosters do everything in their power to help all they can.
But they can do so much more woth more support and broader awareness.
