Mission: World assistance for cambodia (wafc) is dedicated to improving opportunities for the youth and rural poor in cambodia in the areas of education, health, rural development, and technology.
Programs: Program services consisted of contributions to japan relief for cambodia (jrfc), a not for profit organization with the same mission as aafc. Jrfc's programs include the following: rural schools project - the construction of over 500 primary and lower secondary schools in rural villages that previously lacked a functional school. Girls be amibitious - a program started in 2006 seeking to prevent the root causes of human trafficking, including the grant of scholarships to young girls who have dropped out of school to enable them to enroll in an aafc primary school. Telemedicine project - brings medical care to remote areas. Patients can receive examinations by a medical professional and have data from digital photos and x-rays sent via the internet to specialists at the sihanouk hospital. Patients are transported to phnom penh for treatment if necessary.
