Mission: When Michelle was battling cystic fibrosis, there were many hidden expenses to deal with. We know that the families of children who are ill face costs for travel and meals, child care for siblings left at home and loss of income so that parents can be with their children. In 1982, when Michelle died, a fund was established to help with these expenses. The "Michelle Fund" is a tax-exempt, non-profit charitable organization run by an all-volunteer staff with no administrative expenses. It has disbursed over $300,000 to families of Central New York. Close to 200 families have been helped in the last 22 years of our existence. Some children have died, some still struggle with disease, but ALL are very grateful for the financial support received in their time of need.
