The board is managed by a group of women who adhere to outdated practices and exhibit a one-sided mentality. Their lack of management and communication skills is evident, and it seems that most, if not all, have never held professional careers, resulting in an unprofessional approach to handling issues. The board would greatly benefit from younger, forward-thinking members with a modern vision and diverse perspectives. The board lacks diversity, limiting the range of perspectives needed for fair and inclusive decision-making, their decision-making often appears self-serving, favoring resolutions that align with their personal interests, particularly benefiting the teams affiliated with board members.

As a classroom teacher, I found that the photographs and videos produced by Fstop really inspired my students to explore environmentalism. It helped empowered them to see their world and to become intrinsically involved in conservation work while exposing them to the big picture connections between economics, history and the forward-looking solutions of the future.

After watching the show featuring this non profit I was compelled to give monthly. I set it at $50 a month but when I received the receipt it said $500 a month! I freaked out, although if I was able I would gladly give that much! I don't know if the system messed up or if it was my fault but I wrote an email to the address given. Because it was in the middle of the night ,( I'm a night shift RN) I called the hotline number which I felt so bad about doing but I had to. By the next morning, they sent an email reversing the charges. Plus just today, I noticed I had a voice-mail from Somy herself assuring me it would be reversed and told me not to worry! I can't believe she took the time after all she has to do to call me personally and reassure me it would be taken care of! I'm heading back to donate what I had originally planned. Being a member of the Board of Directors I see the behind the scenes energy of the members of this great organization. Debbies Dream Foundation has filled avoid many people stricken with this deadly desease. Starting with the organizations founder, Debbie Zellman and all of DDF's employees and volunteers it is amazing to see the work that is being done to find a cure for stomach cancer. In addition the organization supports those that have been diagnosed with stomach cancer whether they need a referral or just someone to talk to who has suffered the journey they are experiencing.

As we enter to this place we hear a man fighting with the printer machine coursing in a ugly way. And of course for our bad luck he call us to assist us. As he finish to explained everything we said that we will have to think about it what is the best way for us in this moment , he insisted in a very ugly way that he has to stay will all the document we brought, of course NO since it was taxes, bank statements etc. we wanted to make sure before we sign anything. He got very upset and throw our papers on the table open the door and said you know this is the last appointment you have over here. He was very nasty just because we did not want to leave the papers in his place. What kind of help can he offer when he treat people like that!

The Broward County Foster and Adoptive Parent Association (FAPA) provides support to all foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers and their children. Currently, we serve approximately 100 families and are growing each year. Working in conjunction with ChildNet, and other community stakeholders, Broward FAPA aims to strengthen foster and adoptive families through training and advocacy. <br>Broward FAPA meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at the Plantation Community Church @ 7pm. We also have other special events, including social and training activities throughout the calendar year too. Training consists of a variety of topics that help us achieve our individual goal of fifteen training hours towards the annual recertification of our foster homes. We also provide family entertainment opportunities, books, pajamas, and other tangible and in-kind products when we have donors, both private and corporate. <br>We also provide a recognition program where we highlight one foster parent each quarter who has demonstrated exemplary commitment. Nominations are gathered from Child Advocates or the community and the FAPA Board chooses the recipient. They are awarded with a letter, certificate and gift card. <br>It is our hope that this support group will give foster, adoptive and kinship families the necessary tools to ensure each child's safety, well-being and stability. We strive to help adults advocate effectively for the children in their care. Our organization is continuously focused on helping each child in our community have a loving, nurturing and permanent home. <br>

The mission of the Plantation Historical Society is to preserve and present Plantation and South Florida's ongoing historical. educational and cultural resources, focusing on the youth of our community as well as it multi-cultural residents with a museum and diversified outreach programs.

I had the pleasure to volunteer once for an annual picnic held for the children. I was surprised and delighted to see how active all the children were and was impressed by the level of Love and Devotion that Angels Pediatric Non-Profit organization had for the entire familiy of the children with congestive heart disease. The picnic was not a fund raiser but rather a labor of love, it made me feel that I was part of somnething greater and gave me a sense of accomplishment.
