CWDF joins us at our outdoor therapy groups for children. The impact they have had on many young lives is remarkable. They bring joy, comfort and ease anxiety for our clients. The handlers have amazing instinct for how to guide interested children to interact with the therapy dogs all while enriching their minds. Not only do the teams check the boxes for being organized, prompt, and have good communication skills, but the teams are full of love and compassion. We love CWDF!
Not only does CWDF help assist police departments with helping police departments obtain police dogs, CWDF also helps find and orchestrate the provision and training of service dogs to residents suffering from a disability that might otherwise be unable to afford one. But the best arm of CWDF are their Canine Ambassadors. This is a group of 30+ therapy dog teams that make multiple visits a week to schools, hospitals, assisted living facilities and anywhere else they are needed, providing comfort and care to South Shore residents. CWDF also has an elite subset of the Canine Ambassadors knows as the Canine Trauma Response Team that is specially trained to spend time with those touched by tragedy or dealing with trauma. Most recently, CWDF collected donations for Hurricane Helene victims and the organization’s president traveled to NC to deliver needed supplies to animal shelters across NC. All in all, CWDF an amazing organization that deserves recognition!!!
CWDF provided trained and certified dog teams for classroom visits at Derby Academy last spring and we are so grateful for all their efforts. The teachers and students loved having the dog teams on campus and it is a joy to work with CWDF. We are lucky to have them as part of our community and look forward to working with them again this year.
I am a long time therapy dog team member and currently teaching my 29th therapy dog team certification class. I am continually amazed at how much our canine citizens can help us with our daily needs, not just being our pets and best friends.
BUT it takes an individual who understands the above and knows how to build a formidable organization with spectacular people buying into, and participating in that organization, to make a difference. Tricia Morse is such an individual, and Cohasset Working Dog Foundation is such an organization.
From providing K9 police dogs and equipment to the CPD, to visits to the schools and libraries that bring joy/comfort/safe feelings to children, the list is long as to what the foundation provides. One further example, major traumatic event at a home, the Canine Ambassadors helped bring some peace to a family in significant need.
I believe fully in this organization and its goals, and I live 35 minutes away in Milton but had to participate. CWDF is a jewel that is based in Cohasset, but helps the South Shore.

CWDF has contributed an enormous amount to the health and happiness of our town. Trish Morse has dedicated 11+ years to founding and growing the organization that reaches so many.....school children, seniors, special needs, police and safety and more. I am inspired and grateful, and hope to bring my dog into the fold as a therapy dog. Our town and Community is so grateful to CWDF and all the volunteer humans and dogs.
My dog Tenney and I are proud to say that we recently graduated from CWDF therapy dog training. We found the program and trainers to be very professional, knowledgeable and kind. Tenney and I look forward to representing CWDF as Canine Ambassadors with visits to the libraries, schools, nursing homes and elsewhere on the South Shore.
My dog Bonnie and I just started our journey volunteering with the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation. The people are so welcoming! We chose this nonprofit because they help people in all different scenarios and are always open to finding others who need support.
My dog Cooper and I have been so fortunate to be a part of The CWDF Canine Ambassadors' program. It's a fantastic, well run program that affects the lives of children and adults alike. I feel so privileged to be part of an organization that has such an overwhelming impact on the community and is run by such a dedicated individual who truly cares about the positive experience that these dogs deliver. The benefits of this program are unprecedented.
CWDF is such an amazing organization, and I am so happy Milo and I are a part of this family. The joy, love and confidence this organization gives to others is indescribable. All these amazing visits and events would not be possible without Trish Morse. She is 100% devoted to CWDF - thank you for all your help! CWFD has such a wonderful team of volunteers. I hope this organization continues to grow and spread more comfort to others for many more years to come. I know Milo and I will be participants for as long as we can. I am so proud to show up with Milo at events such as the children's reading groups, the Raising Harts Halloween event, Christmas fairs, visits to Shriners Hospital because I know Milo's presence at these events speaks volumes and knowing he touched so many hearts and changed a bad day into an incredible day is beyond words!!!! Huge shout outs to CWDF and Trish -- thank you!!!!!!!
Cohasset Working Dog is an amazing organization that provides much needed services to the local community. Well trained dogs visit local schools and libraries and having reading days with the children. They also visit nursing homes and hospitals to bring joy to the patients. Cohasset Working Dog was instrumental in providing and supporting the Cohasset Police Department's police dog. Every year new volunteers are given specialized training and more dogs are added to the program. It is joyful and much needed organization.

Cohasset Working Dog is a fantastic organization. They work within the community with training pets, reading programs with children and dogs, providing support and service dogs and police dogs. They find needs and provide solutions.
My therapy dog Wyatt and I have been blessed to be a part of CWDF’s Canine Ambassadors’ Program. As someone who has experienced the emotional benefits an animal can bring to a person’s life, I am proud and honored to be a member of this amazing group. The training provided to its members is top-notch and not provided at such a high level at many other similar organizations. The teams are respectful, the community members visited are kind and appreciative and the organization continues to grow and improve every year. Wyatt and I are thrilled to be part of CWDF’s new Canine Comfort Squad, a group of dogs and handlers specially trained to assist in trauma-related situations. I will continue to work with this organization and watch it grow with pride.
CWDF deserves 500 stars but i can only give 5.. I have seen the Canine Ambassadors from CWDF at work in various facilities and locations including nursing homes, classrooms, libraries, assisted living centers and hospitals. The moment a CWDF therapy dog walks into a room, you can instantly feel a change in mood. All eyes focus on them, as smiles spread across everyone’s faces. Whether they’re working with a child who is learning to read, visiting a patient in a hospital or a senior in assisted living, CWDF Canine Ambassadors and their owners work together to improve the lives of others. I’ve witnessed these animals provide a valuable sense of reassurance, joy, or calmness to people experiencing stressful, lonely or depressing situations in their lives. Boston’s South Shore is lucky to have them.
Cohasset Working Dog Foundation provides outstanding pet therapy, service dog and police K-9 services to the community. They also serve as a catalyst for volunteers to get involved and make a difference for neighbors in need of social, emotional or physical assistance. CWDF does great work!
I have known CWDF for years. This organization continues to spread joy to its community and is a true blessing for our area.

My lab Taco and I have worked with CWDF for years providing therapy dog and reading dog services to a wide range of children locally. This Foundation has greatly expanded children’s access to these services which, in light of our post Covid lives, has been even more important. I often hear from parents and children how important visits from these animals are. Honestly, without this organization’s perseverance these services would not be as available to local children. Creating teams of well-trained handlers and dogs while also working with schools and families is a huge task that CWDF has successfully done. In addition, they have supported local police and service dogs. This non-profit is a true gem and we are so lucky to have them.
Deer Hill has had a longstanding partnership with Cohasset Working Dogs though our weekly Reading Rover program. It's the highlight of the week when the volunteer dogs make their way into our library to listen to stories read by our 3rd, 4th, and 5th graders. Over the years, I continue to be so impressed with the dedication of the volunteers, the resources that the organization offers through school assemblies, etc. and the overall joy that they bring to our school community.

Cohasset Working Dog Foundation brings 2-3 dogs to Deer Hill Elementary each week to read with students in our library. To say that this program is a highlight of all activities offered at our school is an understatement. This program offers not only opportunities to read, but does so in a way that builds confidence and important social-emotional skills. We are incredibly appreciative of Cohasset Working Dogs Foundation and the joy that they bring to all students (and staff!).
I am grateful to be a part of CWDF and support the tremendous work they do in the community! Every interaction I have had with any and all representatives of the organization have been exemplary and professional in every aspect! Thank you so much for all you do!
I am so honored to be a part of this organization. CWDF has given me an opportunity to give back to my community. I had been looking for a chance to be of service and this is the perfect fit. I am so delighted I can include my very special dog Allie in this endeavor as well. She has definitely found her calling with her incredible sweet and gentle disposition. Both of us particularly enjoy visiting the special needs students. To see them being comfortable and trusting around Allie truly warms my heart. Thank you CWDF for this amazing opportunity!
The CWDF has been an amazing community resource that has provided K9 Therapy services throughout the community. They are especially beneficial to local libraries, schools and community events. Their vision of connecting therapy dogs to people who need them has been inspiring and there is no limit to how many people they can reach!
It's been a pleasure working with Cohasset Working Dog Foundation. As a Certified Professional Dog Trainer and Evaluator for the AKC Canine Good Citizen Program, I have had the privilage of seeing the working teams in action. I evaluated several of the teams for the Canine Good Citizen Advanced Title and was impressed by their skills and committment to their cause. I look foward to working together with CWDF to support future therapy dog teams.
CWD foundation is top notch!
Gracie the dog who visits Elder Affairs weekly, has a loyal fan following! She is so loving. She has endeared herself to so many of our guests. They look forward to her and seek her out. Their week doesn't start off right without a snuggle from her!
Millie also visits our center weekly, and she brings a smile to everyone she meets. She is adorable and playful and everyone who stops by to say hello leaves happy. The organization is amazing to work with. Trish and all the handlers are professional and caring. They all are a great bunch of people to work with!

We have had Trish and her dog Parker visit us here at the Cohasset senior center on numerous occasions! Parker is always so good and well behaved. we are looking forward to regular weekly visits by other working dogs to bring smiles to the elders as they come through our doors . Visitors will be welcome to sit with the dogs or just pat them and say hello. These 4-legged friends and the teams that work with them are so caring. It is truly a bright spot in our Cohasset community to see them around town.
My dog, Gracie the golden doodle, and I have volunteered with the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation for four years now, primarily through it’s reading programs in schools. It’s been the best experience! Bottom line - this organization delivers on its mission statement and I’m proud to be part of it! I highly recommend donating to or volunteering with the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation.

My therapy dog, Gracie, and I have been volunteering with CWDF for the past year and it's been a GREAT year! Gracie is a weekly visitor at Willcutt Commons/Cohasset Senior Center and has made many friends (both seniors and staff) there. She is also a Reading Rover at Deer Hill School and a Reading Partner at Paul Pratt Library. Both of those programs give young readers the opportunity to practice their reading skills and have fun at the same time. The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation continues to make all these visits possible.
Gracie and I are proud to represent the CWDF, a fantastic organization!!!
I just completed my therapy dog training with Cohasset Working Dog. We all learned so much from this four week course. One thing is for sure these ladies are passionate about making a difference in our community.
I had an amazing experience volunteering with The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation! I did pet therapy with my little Yorkshire terrier, Lyle. We used to visit the seniors every week and also with Chardonnay, my chihuahua. The elderly were so grateful for our weekly visits and all of our cheer, smiles and unconditional love our pups brought them. Special thanks to Trish Morse for starting this incredible foundation and all of her tireless efforts in keeping it going for all these years!

Have been a fan and supporter of this amazing foundation for years. Their accessible community outreach and successful implementation of a K9 program in COHASSET is an inspiring example for small Non-profits. Thanks for the work you do!
The Cohasset Working Foundation ans Trish Morse are a huge asset to our town and offer wonderful programs to include children, right up to elderly. I fully support the foundation and it’s generous support to our town and our townspeople. We would not have our K9 if it hadn’t been for the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation ans Trish Morse.
The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation has been an integral part of the Cohasset Police's K9 program since its inception. Without the hard work of Trish Morse and the Foundation we would not have the program. Its constant support has allowed us to be able to provide a valuable service to the town and surrounding towns. - Patrick Reardon

The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation has made it possible for the Cohasset Police department to have a K9 unit. As the K9 officer I can attest to their devotion to not only making sure the K9 program is fully funded, but they also provide funding for service and therapy dogs in our area. They provide funding for all equipment and vet services, including outfitting the cruiser. I cant speak highly enough about the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation.
Cohasset is so lucky to have the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation and Trish Morse as its tireless advocate. The many programs and support they provide to the community are invaluable and the envy of other towns. By providing a therapy dog to a young child, educating the public and supporting the police department's K-9, the foundations has touched and helped the town in so many ways, all of which make Cohasset a better place to live. The foundation is worthy of all the praise it has received, and deserving of any financial assistance.
A little over one year ago, the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation initiated a dog reading therapy program at our local elementary school. Since then our “Reading Rovers” team of handlers and dogs have had the pleasure of being read to by delightful students who lay on the blanket and read to our pups. They read in a nonthreatening environment to a dog who will neither correct them nor make faces if they make a mistake!
The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation has provided trained and certified dog teams for the Paul Pratt Memorial Library's Reading Partners program. Reading Partners is a therapy dog reading program that meets weekly throughout the school year. Each week a team comes to interact with a number of families. We use varied models depending on the families needs. Some students come to rehearse reading skills in a safe environment with a non-judgmental listener. Au Pairs, not yet confident in their ESL skills, come and and rely on the handler or the children's librarian to do the reading. We have partnered with the CWDF for so long that we are able to quickly access the situation and provide a quality Reading Partners experience. CWDF has now expanded the program to include the Cohasset Public Schools. It an honor to be working with such a valuable community resource.
they really treat their volunteers with respect, kindness and appreciation. the communication is excellent and they really help prepare us for our therapy dog visits. Cohasset Working Dogs is a great organization to volunteer with.
It’s heart-warming to see the incredible and impressive accomplishments the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation has made to benefit the residents, law enforcement, schools and libraries of Cohasset. What began as a personal passion to bridge a love for dogs with the proven therapeutic, medical and community safety contributions they inherently offer, CWDF continues to touch the lives of many. To note that many of the dogs hail from shelters and have found their forever loving home in the community where they work, is simply a win-win!

Our granddaughter was the fortunate recipient of "Parker" a Cohasset service dog.
Parker and the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation have made a huge positive impact on our dear Emmy and her family. Trish Morse, the president of the Working Dog foundation has
made sure that Parker is also shared with the community by serving at the library as a reading
companion and as a friend at local nursing homes. Trish and the Working Dog Foundation
are truly good citizens and deserve nothing but an A+. We count them among our many blessings!

Cohasset Working Dog Foundation is a prime example of "excellence" in both leadership and
dedication. The founder of CWDF, Patricia Morse, goes above and beyond in every aspect of her role. The organization lead by "Trish" plays an important role in our town by providing
a police K-9 for K-9 officer Patrick Reardon. Patrick is now working with his second dog "Einstein"as his first dog "Erik" has retired. The K-9 is particularly helpful with missing persons. The town is very fortunate to have these canines provided by the CWDF.
CWDF will donate a trained dog to applicants that have a medical need when it is feasible.
This organization is top notch and provides security and assistance to many.
I cannot say any enough good things about CWDF! I’ve worked with the group in Cohasset Middle High School. They came three times during the year and were amazing! It could not have been easier to arrange the visits and the dogs and their handlers were amazing! Every one who visited the pups left with smiles.
My son wanted to write a book review about working dogs for school. Trish from Cohasset Working Dogs met with us along with one her therapy dogs and talked to my son about the process of how the dogs become therapy dogs. She then was kind enough to come to his school when he presented his review about the book and therapy dogs. Thank you Trish. What a fantastic organization. The now go the school every week and read with the children.
Trish and the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation have done a fantastic job raising awareness of these amazon service dogs and their very critical contribution to our town. She visits the assisted living facility I work in on a regular basis to teach our residents about her work and delights the residents by bringing along one or more of her working dogs. Thank you Trish for all you do!!
The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation is an amazing organization. Their support for our Police Canine is to be commended. But we especially love their efforts to provide support animals to the youth of our community not only to read to at the library but my favorite, as stress relief during HS finals.
The win/win of these valuable and skilled working dogs helping out our police and K9 teams in Cohasset is wonderful. Not only do these dogs aid in critical police work, they also contribute to the education and awareness of our children.
This organization is managed by a talented team of people that strive to make a difference and their efforts are highly appreciated and recognized throughout our town. The fundraising efforts are grassroots and the benefit and value derived is immeasurable.
Kudos to the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation!
I’ve been a volunteer for the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation from the very beginning. My dog Sophie and I are always excited to give back to our community. We visit nursing homes, the library and schools.
Cohasset Working Dog Foundation is an amazing organization that helps the local community on so many levels, they provide trained therapy dogs at the Paul Pratt Library for the children to sit with and practice their reading skills, they have provided a local family with their own fully trained therapy dog to help with a young child's needs and they were able to add a K-9 to the Cohasset Police Department, great work being done by great people, and dogs!
Cohasset Working Dog Foundation is the most active, positive and responsive to community needs organization I’ve seen in over 30+ years of working with non-profits. Focused and always looking for innovative ways to serve.
The Cohasset Working Dog Foundation has taken our police K9 program from concept to reality. Through funding purchasing a K9, equipping a cruiser, and paying vet bills, the foundation has been our lifeblood. The Cohasset Police Department is forever thankful. ~CHIEF WILLIAM QUIGLEY, COHASSET PD
As a pet care business owner in the area, I’ve been very happy to support Cohasset working dog over the past years.
This year alone they have funded numerous Vet bills and supported the new Police K-9, "Einstein" who is AWESOME! They aren't doing a big gala this year, just a town-wide mailing and social media fundraiser and being able to display Great Non-profit status would be a nice thing to have to display on their website and materials.
They are proud of being a strong advocate for the disabled and for working dogs (and all dogs!) in the community. They’re an all volunteer organization and a huge asset to those who truly need their services.
