Mission: Founded in 1954, IFN is a non-religious, non-profit, community-based organization devoted soley to meeting the educational and developmental needs of children and adolescents living or attending school in East Harlem and Yorkville (NYC). Our mission is to encourage kids to: stay in school; understand & confront complex social challenges; avoid high-risk behavior and maximize learning, social competence and healthy development. With a comprehensive focus on children's needs, IFN provides counseling, educational and recreational services to 800 youngsters(and their families) annually.
