My family and I love the Children’s Museum. My 6-year-old enjoys the interactive activities in the Innovation Station and my 3-year-old loves to use his imagination in Main Street. My wife and I like how the space is clean and safe and that we can relax or catch up on work while the kids have a great time.
The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley is a gem. As a former elementary educator, I have seen first hand all that CMBV does to promote discovery learning for children. The programs and exhibits remind kids (and parents) of the joy that comes from learning through play. If you are looking for a safe and warm environment for you child to learn, create, and grow, then The Children's Museum is your pot of gold.
Our family has been coming to the Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley for over 12 years now and have enjoyed our many experiences there. They offer many different play spaces for children of all ages and always have fun crafts out for the kids to make. The museum is clean and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We look forward to many more trips in the future!

The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley is truly a jewel within our community! They do so much amazing work and are highly involved with our community. I cannot say enough good about Patricia, their new Executive Director. She is an amazing asset to the Children's Museum, and they are lucky to have her!!
The Children's Museum of the Brazos Valley is a must visit site in the Brazos Valley. From the moment you step foot in the new museum building located in the Lake walk area of Bryan (by the Stella Hotel), a staff member will greet you into a fantastic space specifically designed to spark imagination, creativity and learning in each young child.
Within the little town exhibits young minds will be encouraged to visit the grocery store only to be reminded they forgot to stop by the bank to get cash. On their way to the bank they will be invited by a friend to visit them at the hospital.
Another amazing exhibit is the innovation station, led by an innovator, which allows children the opportunity to engage in hands-on learning (with activities that change daily). Finally, children of all ages will agree that the rocket ship is worth the climb, a museum's favorite since its foundation back in 1998.
If you would like to take the fun home, the museum offers a STEM-oriented take-home kit called the "Innocrate" which is a subscription-based kit that allows young minds to engage in hands-on learning. "Innocrates" can be the perfect birthday present for children and teenagers alike.
And don't forget that you can also host birthday parties at the museum. I hosted our daughter's "Silly Science party" on a Saturday morning and the event turned out great. The party host was very hands-on and helped us with everything we needed. The kids didn't want to leave and parents were happy.
Follow their facebook page to be informed of upcoming events, they have many throughout the year!
