Taveuni Animal Lovers is an extraordinary organization providing much needed services to the animals on Taveuni and surrounding small islands. Their expertise in desexing, helping with sickness and finding homes for abandoned animals or new litters has been so helpful to the community. They have provided me with much needed medicines for my dog’s basic needs which are not otherwise available in Taveuni. So happy they are able to bring over qualified vet professionals to assist in their mission. Wonderful people and a pleasure to know!

I submitted an application to the Dexter Foundation for a bonded pair of dogs. After repeated inquiries I finally heard back from them and was told they were available. After multiple inquiries again, I was told they were still available but getting information/updates on the dogs was very difficult.I began to wonder if the organization was real or a scam. After getting the run around from them I told them to let me know if the dogs were still available and if not let me know so I could move on. I was told they were available and I could pick them up on a set date. The day before pickup I was told it was going to be a failed foster. Fast forward months later the foundation is still showing the dogs available. A lot of the reviews I read about this foundation were true - Failure to respond, lack of information and communication, extended delays, not forthright, and most importantly failure to adopt. Don't waste your time or energy on this foundation.

iACT stands out as a nonprofit that empowers refugee communities and displaced people through education, sports, and leadership programs providing training for long-term community involvement. As donors we are regularly updated on the progress and the positive impact they have. It’s especially moving to hear directly from the community leaders and refugees who express gratitude for iACT’s ongoing support and request for iACT’s continued presence and commitment to support and expand their programs. Focusing also on raising awareness of the needs of displaced communities.

18 years ago, we adopted Rose (was Sable) from PACT. She has been a wonderful cat companion, and still going strong. <br> <br>Rose was a bottle fed kitten, a investment of time and commitment from someone in the PACT organization. Rose had a great start on a long happy life, instead of what would've certainly been a short life. <br>Thank you for the gift you gave us.

Working so hard to save the underdogs for the past SIX years has been so rewarding and heartbreaking at the same time. We are tiny but mighty, all foster based, all the time, and all volunteer too. This is my heart's work since I started this in 2011, registered, and obtained our 501(c)3 and remained in good standing throughout our lifespan. No one here gets paid, every dog gets the highest quality care, best nutrition, training, even swim therapy! We spare no expense, and our vet bills prove that! This organization rented 6 storage units in Redondo Beach, filled them with trash and abandoned them with thousands of dollars unpaid. The principal of this organization uses the corporation, Peaceable Kingdom, to shield herself from liability in court. I would not recommend involvement with this non-profit.

This wonderful youth orchestra was founded twenty years ago by conductor and violist Dr. Carolyn Waters Broe in Newport Beach, California. The Orange County Four Seasons Orchestra is one of the finest college preparatory training orchestras in Southern California. There are actually several youth orchestras at different skill levels which perform under this name. They perform major works and travel to Europe. This is the best music education a young artist could wish for. Broe turned the orchestra over to a brilliant orchestra director, Dr. Rodger Hickman, when she moved to Arizona. He transformed this group into a leading youth orchestra which is now in Rancho Santa Margurita, California. Carolyn Broe used a small inheritance from her grandparents Carl and Miriam Waters to found the orchestra. Her grandfather was a musician. They would be very proud and happy to know how the incredible quality and value of this educational experience has transformed so many young musicians lives in such positive ways.

I have known Jeami Duncan (founder) for a long time, but there is a whole different person in her that I hadn&rsquo;t met until I traveled with her to Uganda on a short term mission trip last year. Before we left, I took some time to listen to her story of how she ended up traveling to Uganda and what it was that kept her going back. I got to witness the truth in her words of her love and compassion for Uganda and its people from the second I stepped off the plane right behind her in Africa to this very day. The dreams of education and opportunity that the people of Uganda desire more than anything didn&rsquo;t just hit her one day. These dreams are the dreams of the people of Uganda, and became hers because she took the time years ago to listen to their cry and listen carefully. Through partnering and building relationships with the people there, she has been able to be a mighty tool for providing opportunities that would otherwise be nothing more than a distant dream. I could go on and on about my experiences in Uganda, but I was most impressed with the attitude that Jeami implemented on our group through her leadership. We were able to accomplish much and it was never just a checklist. We took advantage of the time that we had there providing helping hands at orphanages, hospitals, local villages, and other organizations around the country. The majority of our time was spent being relational with the people around us and tending to their living and health needs, providing clothes, food, basic hygiene necessities, and even healthcare needs, sometimes making unplanned trips to the hospital when needed. It has only been a little over a year since we were there looking at land options to build the school, and now the second building is under construction! Leaving Uganda, I felt like I had received so much more than I ever thought I would have and I can't wait to go back with Mercy's Village International. It is the most genuine organization I've been a part of and I know this from first hand experiences that I will never forget. I started a student organization at my college and it has been such an exciting opportunity to be a part of and make a difference in the lives of less fortunate children in Uganda through the power of education!
