Dragon's Den was just absolutely fantastic! Our Girl Scouts held a My Guy and Me event there this past Saturday and couldn't have had a better experience. Gideon and his team were just wonderful. From the planning to the final execution, things couldn't have gone more smoothly. We had 34 participants aging from 7 through adult and everyone left with a giant smile of accomplishment. We had a couple of girls petrified of heights. Once they gained confidence on the lower course, they braved it out and accomplished the higher course, too. We couldn't be prouder of them for challenging themselves and pushing their personal limits. This is a true hidden gem. I wish we knew of them sooner. We will definitely be back!

I have worked with the MarbleJam Center on media & marketing and I have been able to attend several of their events and visit their center over the years. The joy and community that surrounds all of MJK's operations is unmatched. Not only is this center a safe space for its clients, it is designed to uplift and empower them. The pictures attached are from their "Hopes Dreams and Wishes" show and their Film Premiere! So many moments of laughter, connection, and smiling faces!

Love taking my dog to the park so she can run free and play with other dogs. It also has a path so I can walk while she plays as well.

Southwest Sports and Fitness Alliance has changed the way my entire family looks at being a part of the community. They are a huge presence in their direct community but to the entirety of Baltimore. There is always a way to get involved and show your support. Although they are small in comparison to some other organizations, their impact has been powerful. Many amazing people and continued activities that allow for growth for the people that they are out there working to support!

I am a new client with the link and option center. They have been very in tune to my needs and have been very helpful to what I'm going through. My therapist has been great, supportive, and understanding. I am so lucky to have Luis as my therapist. The link and option center should be honored to have him as one of there employees. Great therapist and incredibly professional.

This senior health center, even with the musk and the mold everywhere that gives it a homely feel, is in terrible condition. I don't complain about the rats, or the smell, but the building itself is far below my expectations for even a 1 star center. It does get points for the food though, the hair just adds flavor.

Are family thank GOD for this organization after not knowing were we were going to pay the rent and bills this organization helped us with open arms . You can definitely feel the love and support.

Having worked closely with the staff at Sara Holbrook, their passion, vision and thoughtfulness for the families of the center is topnotch and I couldn't be prouder to serve on this Board.

The Lake Crystal Area Recreation Center (LCARC) is an amazing symbol of what a community can do when it works together for the common good. Nestled in the heart of a tiny (2,500 person) rural community stands a beautiful 64,000 square-foot multi-purpose Aquatics, Youth, Community, Recreation, Senior, Fitness, and Event Center. I had heard of it, and I know my kids had gone swimming and to other activities there for school from Mankato, but until I went myself I had no idea it was so big. The pool has 6 lanes of lap swim plus 2 slides and a zero-depth entry and a hot tub. There's a fitness center, aerobics studio, walking track, double gym with 6 hoops, and physical therapy on site. In fact, I wrecked my shoulder and ended up going to Lake Crystal for therapy. Now I lift there, swim laps, and play Pickleball. Plus, it's 24/7, which also incredible for a small community. It took me seeing it in person to get a real sense of the place, but now I'm the biggest fan!

They go above and beyond to invest in academics over sports and I love that about them

Five years ago, Mosholu moved their day camp site to a private area in Harriman State Park on beautiful Lake Cohannset. With the summer heat in the Bronx and the highest asthma rate in the country, the temperature is 10 degrees cooler at camp. This year, for the 45 minute drive, MMCC added air conditioned buses along with new and innovative programming so the children can be comfortable, cool, happy and well programmed, from the time of pick-up until they step off the bus in the late afternoon. A phenomenal day camp experience!!!

What a great way to promote a dying community! These guys provide weekend concerts at a riverfront arena. Great shows!! Affordable!! Amazing place to go.<br>AAA++++++++++++

FamilyPoint saved me from the Kardashians! <br>I retired the Spring of 2009 and knew I wanted to try working with FamilyPoint's after-school program in the fall. I did not have much planned for the summer of 2009, so I watched a lot of daytime cooking shows on TV but eventually burned out on them. Then I started lowering my already minimal TV standards and even watched a few episodes of the Kardashians before school started up in the fall. <br>I have been able to grow with FamilyPoint; last year I joined their advisory board. Their programs enrich all aspects of a child's life -athletic, academic, cultural and social - and the volunteer's lives are equally enriched. <br>(FamilyPoint probably saved me from Jerry Springer too.)

The Bandon Community Youth Center was established in 1998 to serve the students of Bandon and the greater area where currently (2017) more than 60% qualify for free or reduced price meals. In 2014 the mission statement was changed from serving at risk only youth, to serving all youth and families of the greater Bandon area and now provides academic support in the form of a after school homework help program M-Th at their facility, math tutoring M-Th for grades 5-8 after school at the local middle school and family engagement activities. Studies show that academic success is greater when there is family involvement. The small board struggles to grow the board, write grants, and expand needed program offerings. The math tutoring program is tracking success for grant reporting, with hopes to expand. This is a viable organization worthy of support.

This nonprofit is not about sports, it is about building the communities of Arlington, Sunderland and Sandgate back up. We hold summer and school vacation camps for kids, we have some programming for adults as well. Although we are small now, we have great plans for the future.

My children have been playing here for a couple years now. It's a great youth organization. The kids have fun, learn to play as a team, and of course the fundamentals of Baseball/Softball. The parents love this organization because we are a community. There are great people involved in this organization, and we are always looking for more families to come join our community. Spring ball starts in April come out and watch a game or two.

The Q Center offers a safe and supportive environment for the LGBTQ and ally communities. The center has a wonderful group of staff and volunteers who work tirelessly to advocate for social justice and equality. They regularly host and support wonderful community events.

Living Classrooms Foundation is an amazing foundation, which strives to help those in need in a multitude of avenues. Whether through workforce development/reentry programs, top charter schools education/turn around programs (Commodore John Rodgers), high school mentoring, shipboard education, health and wellness, among many other programs, Living Classrooms dedicates each and every day to making our kids a better versions of theirselves. <br><br>The staff at the community centers, along with the other departments are top notch. They are the ones who are facilitating the betterment of the city of Baltimore. If only there was a foundation like this in each city (Chicago, Phila, L.A., etc).

I had an amazing time interning at Mercy Center during the summer of 2013. The center extended their culture of community and attention to staff members and interns, always making sure they felt a part of the Mercy Center family. The Center also provided additional volunteer opportunities for interns , exposing us to different initiatives and allowing us to flourish in our positions. Really grateful to have contributed to this institution!

Assistance League of Charlotte is a dynamic organization of men and women joined together to help disadvantaged children. Their slogan “ we feed, we clothe, we mentor, we educate” reflects the realization that children need help in many ways and at each stage of their lives. The Thrift Shop at 3405 South Tryon, the main source of income, is a true treasure chest where people shop for bargains because they enjoy the “hunt for the unusual” or a place to fill the needs of those with limited funds. A friendly place where shoppers and workers alike know they are doing good for their community. I am proud to be a member and urge you to check out our our store, our causes, our people and join us - there is a lot of work that still needs to be done.

PearlSide Boxing is a great place to get fit, have fun, and learn the sport of boxing. The program is for children as young as 6 years old , teen, young adults, and mature adults in their 50's and 60's. They are open 6 days a week, classes at 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm on Mondays through Friday and on Saturday they have classes at 9 and 10 am. They also have competition opportunities for those that want to take it beyond the fitness classes. They have multiple State Champions and also several National Boxing Champions on their boxing teams.

They have a zero overhead program where 100% of your donation goes to the designated charity of your choice, health, feed the needy, etc.
