Mission: Pita & Pecan’s Animal Refuge is a Veteran owned & operated 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue for lost and abandoned animals in and around Blount County, Alabama. We house, evaluate, and treat dogs, cats, birds, and small farm animals on a space available basis.
Target demographics: lost, abandoned and stray animals in and around Blount County Alabama.
Direct beneficiaries per year: 142 animals, with 387 total helped in three years of operation.

Programs: rescue and sanctuary operations, to include behavioral rehabilitation, for animals in our care.
