These past three years has been so rough on my wife and I. We got a second hand bed set. My wife started breaking out with sores. We thought it was bed bugs her not having insurance medicade or nothing the hospital gave me two treatments for bed bugs. So we got one treatment. So I held the treatment to kill the bed bugs until I was able to get the other treatmen to kill the bed bugs. During that time we have bought what we could afford to treat our home. We couldn't afford another bed so we bought bed bug repellant cover for the mattress and the box spring. So we both treated ourselves. It didn't get any better. Me having medicade and her not. Not knowing what to do or what's attacking us. My wife having lupus SLE. her whole body tore up. For over a year finally she spit out a whole bug. We put it in a zip lock bag drove to John's Drugs in Purvis Ms. They said it was seed ticks. So we bought poison for seed ticks we would bath in the poison. It wasn't no since for me to get treatment if my wife couldn't so we tried using the poison to get ride of the ticks. From God up above some one told us a Dr in sumeral Me goes by your income. Thank God. But all through this pass three years we went days without eating. The Dr gave us DOXYCYCLINE MONO 100 Mg. It's been three refills we still fighting these ticks. So caught up with fighting ticks lost our phone bills bills no phone services lost food stamps dozens of times cause we missed call cause no phone services no gas being disabled her no job trying to get on disibility again. She tried to work three jobs fired her cause claims to slow. She has SLE Lupus. We do need some any kind of help.

I'm disabled not easy to get around I'm 52. Some how now only getting 16 dollars food stamps. Been having problems with the system with food stamps either I can't afford the phone bill to have a phone interview or no gas to go. No family here at all and no one seems to care. I worked hard all my life. Now with pins screws plates in my legs due to injuries. I never thought I'd be placing an add like this. Thank God I raised my kids now their on their own. Back in Louisiana. So proud to have raised them to be independent. I had to be independent. Now I pray I can work.

I have volunteered with this shelter and their low cost, high volume spay/neuter clinic for the past 10 years. This shelter has made remarkable strides in the past few years. They are an open enrollment shelter serving many counties in South Mississippi, yet they have maintained a 94% or higher live release rate for the past two years! Quite an accomplishment for a shelter that once euthanized 70& or more of their animals.

I am the grand-son of Ed Johnson, and my father is James DeWitt Johnson. My physician< Dr. Eric Hale > introduced me to a scholarship recipient; Dr. Hale had Dr. Johnson as a mentor and Dr. Hale now mentors these former and current recipients. <br>The stories that I have been told is that my "D-daddy" was the last physician to make house "calls" or visits. To his discrepancy he would make house calls for only the cost of a regular check-up. Let me say that again_ HE CAME TO MEN AND WOMENS HOMES_ in the 1970's even 80's. <br> <br>This is a scholarship for MD's that are born to serve mankind to their fullest. God bless all of the physicians in the world, and may all future recipients know that Dr. Edgar DeWitt Johnson is washed in the blood of Jesus Christ and my grandfather's serving spirit is a testament of his power. <br> <br>

I am 63 years old and have health problems. Before the storm Katrina, I had a yard full of pine trees 100 of them at least and I could not pick up all the pine cones and rack all the leaves and straw. I didn't know what to do. I called the boy scouts in Hattiesburg and the Scout Master was so nice and him and his troop came out one or 2 days and cleaned up my whole yard took it all to the street to be picked up and it was so pretty my yard. They did a wonderful job they brought their own rakes and everything. I could not have asked for a better group to help me. They are fantastic Betty Robinson
