Mission: Neighborhood alliance serves as a safety net for the community by meeting the basic needs of its most vulnerable citizens, while raising aspirations and offering pathways to enhance and improve their lives and the lives of their children.
Programs: Senior enrichment services provided home-delivered meals to homebound seniors throughout lorain county, and supportive services and engaging social programs to active elders. Neighborhood alliance served 84,967 meals in 2017. 6,700 older adults received 12,192 units of supportive services.
child enrichment services offer childcare for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and school-aged children before and after school. A summer program is also offered for children ages 5 to 12. Neighborhood alliance served 29,453 half days of service to 192 unduplicated children.
family support services facilitate in-home parenting education and support, program referral, and development screeings for families with children up to three years old. This program served 797 children for a total of 30,294 hours in 2017.
shelter & emergency services offers a 24-hour/7 days a week, extended stay family shelter. This program served 15,796 shelter nights to 381 unduplicated men, women, and children in 2017.
