I’m so grateful to this organization . After my daughter passed. Stepping into the roll of being a Guardian to my 2 granddaughter’s has been at times overwhelming. One is a senior, and the other is in middle school . Things are quite different from when my children were in school . If it had not been for OCP Community . I wouldn’t know half of the things needed . Great people doing exciting new things for the community...art classes for kids, teens, adults, vets, home school, etc. Shows for artists. Supporting the arts in Vero Beach and making our downtown better!

As a volunteer for this organization I am impressed by the enthusiastic commitment and compassion of all of its staff toward those that are unhoused in the Treasure Coast Florida area. I have been working with Florida Rescue Ranch as a professional farrier for the past few years. They pour their time, effort, thought into the care of each animal on the ranch. Diet, companionship, mental & physical health and healing are a top priority. I have so many stories of animals mentally healing from their wounds & their bodies blossoming from the care at Florida Rescue Ranch. I can truly say it is an honor to see what they are doing for the animals!

They work tirelessly to provide essential items and some gifts to homeless children in our tri-county area.

The quality of healthcare I have received since switching to TCCH has been exemplary. Great portal system, thorough follow up and engaged providers. I highly recommend. I am also a Foundation donor because I believe in the integrity of TCCH and their commitment to serving the entire community with dignity.

SENFC effectively promotes sustainable practices especially in meetings and events. Not only does its leadership act as catalysts encouraging others to get involved but often leads the "green teams" in food rescue, reuse and recycling and other sustainable initiatives.

I am a member of this organization and serve on the board. Additionally, I am the Membership Chair. I would not hold these positions without believing in what we do and knowing that we are a caring, energetic, honest and ethical club. I am constantly amazed at all that we do (61 projects during the pandemic!) and the impact we have in our community as well as internationally. If there is a need, we try to find a way to help. "Service Above Self" is evident in our members through their generosity financially as well as with their time. I am proud to be a third generation Rotarian and honored to be a member of Sunrise Rotary. Laura K

This center is a place of hospitality to all who come for functions or workshops. It is naturally generous and tolerant of each persons reasons to attend, and welcome everyone with simplicity and joy. The center itself is unusual in this community in that there is an open caring for all and the community itself. Carol Ludwig is a kind and well informed director and her example of this spirit is in all ways visible in every program.

The Gifford Youth Orchestra changes lives. The GYO gives tools to at-risk children who face the risk of remaining in a cycle of poverty. The GYO gives children a reason to hope and to dream. The GYO keeps children off the street and on the stage. The GYO spotlights children who are often "pigeon-holed" as being worthless, less than, and a threat to society. The GYO says to those children, "Yes you can!" The GYO uplifts an entire community. Thanksgiving this year for me was not only day filled with joy, food, friends, and family festivities, but also a day for me to remember all the wonderful memories and stories from my volunteering experience in Bocas Del Toro, Panama. My name is Spencer Gray and I was fortunate enough to have the opportunity to volunteer for the past three months with Give and Surf, a non-profit organization built to empower the local ingenious communities through education, community development, and most importantly to spread love. <br /> An average day spent volunteering was going to either to one of the Ngobe communities in the Bay about a ten-minute boat ride from the volunteer house. The best feeling in the world was being able to be apart of the experience of picking up the young children from their house or dock in the yellow school boat, known as the 'Sea Monkey'. Each child was filled with personality, love, and eager to learn. Time spent in the classroom was always an adventure, because you never know what the day had in store. My favorite time spent in the classroom was our first activity on the daily agenda, sitting on the carpet singing. At all times there was always a big smile on my face, because it was a joy to watch how much all the children loved singing and showing off their hidden talents. I personally believe singing allows people to connect with others and with their culture. Also, I loved watching all the boys and girls express themselves through music and words. <br /> Being involved with a non-profit organization has not only allow me to see all the good in the world, but also allowed me to find out what is most important. I believe in my heart each and every child has so much potential to shine in many ways and seek success. Not only was I am able to give my time to others, but also receive so much in return. I am beyond thankful for the past three months to be able to help assist educational programs, volunteer within community projects, learn about the Ngobe culture, and create a home away from home. <br /> <br />

Master's Academy of Vero Beach has been a blessing to my family. My oldest son flourished with the small class sizes and being in an environment where he could be himself, be challenged academically, and be fed spiritually. He thrived at Master's and has gone on to be successful in college because of the foundation that Master's established and built upon. The school encourages personal responsibility and Christian self government, traits that are so deeply lacking in many young people today. We clearly see the roots that are established at Master's Academy do bear fruit in time as students learn to lead and serve others. Truly a remarkable school!

I have had the awesome privilege of attending the first two "WoB Worthy Day of Adventure" events, and I can't wait for the next one! They put together such a great event and thought of all the details. Not only did I get the opportunity to try some fabulous new adventures with amazing new friends, but i had the added pleasure of knowing the money I paid to participate not only provided me with great experiences but also benefited small businesses in our community! It doesn't get much better than that, and WoB did a fantastic job of making sure everyone had a positive experience!

What a blessing The Buggy Bunch is!! Having a baby and raising a family can be the most exciting and the most overwhelming life changing experience we ever face. What this organization offers is priceless!!! Not only is it a place where new moms and their families can connect with their peers who are going through the same things they are, they also have an opportunity to receive encouragement, mentoring and support by more mature women who have 'been there, done that'. Not to mention, I am delighted to see so many of my sisters in Christ reaching out into the community and giving back by using their God given gifts and talents to mentor these new families while also sharing the love and the gospel of Jesus Christ. Thanks to Kelly and ALL of you who volunteer to make this available to our community! May God bless you abundantly!

Safe and secure place for seniors on a limited income

This place is wonderful place for the family and for kids too!

We are proud to support Project Hollywood Cares in their efforts to support America’s military personnel. They provide products of the entertainment industry, events, outings and hospital visit support to wounded and returning servicemen , women and veterans. It’s our privilege to support their fundraising efforts through our Cars 4 Causes Vehicle Donation Program. We applaud their efforts to make a difference!

Youth Sailing Foundation of Indian River County (YSF) helps youngsters ages 8 - 13 learn to sail and or build their own wooden Optimist Sailing Dinghy. Classes are provided at no cost to the youngster. Recent offerings include classes for adults in learning to sail and to teens in how to sail and/or race a slightly larger boat (Trinka 12 or 420 sailboat). Children learn skills on the water that translate into skills in decision making, pride in accomplishing a difficult task. Parents of the youngsters report improved self image of the youngster, improvements in school work, etc. The YSF is blessed to have hightly trained volunteers to assist with on the water activities along with help wilth classroom activities and (for some) help with building their own boat. The YSF is growing at a most rapid rate and is searching for additional volunteer help (past teachers or anyone experienced in working with children). The YSF is also blessed by having a major sponsor (The Moorings Country and Yacht Club) that provides facilities for summer camp classes along with financial support and from the Vero Beach Power Squadron whose members provide thousands of volunteer hours each year.

The Vero Beach Power Squadron is one of the most active squadrons in the U.S. (400+ squadrons). <br>It's members provide many types of community services principally related to safety on the water (both power boating and sailing). Many types of educational offerings are presented with minimum cost to the individual family. On the water exercises for inexperienced boaters have recently been offered. Members of the VBPS take many advanced classes (marine electronics, engine maintenance, cruise planning, onboard weather forcasting, piloting, celestial navigation, etc). Primary recipients of donations from members of the VBPS, include Boys & Girls Club (fishing outings), the Environmental Learning Center (food service donations at EcoFest) and thousands of hours of volunteer efforts with environmental issues and for the Youth Sailing Foundation of Indian River County. The VBPS has service the community of Vero Beach for more than 60 years.

Please put this organization on your "Go To" list! Joanne and Bill Cala have done so much with so little! When five of our local girls died in an accident, the Calas built a school in honor of Hannah. Let's keep this school going! Bert :-)

I became involved with Grand Harbor Community Outreach Program three years ago when I was asked to serve on the Philanthropy Committee by making visits to some of the local non-profit agencies who were requesting funds for that year. <br> <br> The main reason we chose Grand Harbor was because of the people we met here; they are considerate, thoughtful and generous in everything they do. As I learned more about the process and the very deliberate approach to fund raising and grant awards, that belief in my neighbors and friends was affirmed. My experience includes a vast array of philanthropic work and never before have I been involved in a scenario where 100% of the funds raised are distributed. It is amazing! <br> <br>There is tremendous need in our county and I am so proud to say that the Grand Harbor Community Outreach Program is making a difference in people's lives.

My wife had already spent nearly $800 in the prior year at Dasie Hope's Wabasso, FL store when she purchased another item for $105., paying with a bank debit card. She completed the sale on Feb.3, 2014 from the store's apparent manager & an older, grey haired male helper. She explained that she'd have her husband, me, pick it up in the next few days, so the store was to place a SOLD sign on the chair. When I arrived to pick it up, wife hadn't actually stated to me that she'd already paid, the same woman manager said I must pay first before they could load it into my vehicle. There was no SOLD sign on the chair and another customer was looking it over when I walked into the door. I did as told and paid, unknowingly again for the same chair, another $105. Later that same day, Feb.6th, I was paying bills online at home when I noticed my debit card had two pending charges of $105. on 2/6/2014 each about to be paid to the Dasie Hope store! I called the store & spoke with the manager woman again and explained, however she insisted it was due to their supposed Comcast web-phone line problems. Further, she refused to answer why she'd told me to pay for a chair again since she'd sold it earlier to my wife who was a regular customer she'd spoken with repeatedly, or why hadn't the chair had the SOLD sign on it when I arrived unannounced to pick it up. Finally, she hung up on me after I explained that I'd contacted my bank and they would be contacting her to collect the two extra payments. The bank, Wells Fargo, has temporarily refunded the money to my account pending their collection process with Dasie Hope Charities. Not much of a recommendation for the management practices of this operation.

Epic Missions, Inc started in Vero Beach, FL in 2011 under the direction of Paul and Jackie Munsie. The property that they purchased is 16 acres in size and houses short term missions teams from around the country that travel to their location to serve the poor, hungry, homeless and "at risk" kids within Indian River County. The organization is a 501c3 approved not for profit and is overseen by an active Board if Directors. They teach and train visiting teams how to do the same missions work in their own communities. The amenities are awesome with 3 delicious meals per day, comfortable air conditioned surroundings and a full time missions base to support all of the volunteer teams.
