Domino Service Dogs has become my community over the last 5 years. It is a place where, as a person with a disability, I am accepted exactly as I am. Expectations meet me where I am! I am so lucky to have a place to exist as myself, appreciated for the abilities I have and the skills I can use.

This is a horrible company that likes to sue those who adopt and foster for them. Donate your money to a better organization. Look at the articles on Reddit and Yelp. I have volunteered with them and fostered and there is truth in the articles.

The team of Friendship Bridge in the US and Guatemala is extraordinary! Big smiles, kindness and professionalism are a few things you can see in any interaction. It was so impactful to have a spontaneous conversation with someone from Guatemala recently, and hear all the different ways the community has changed and is doing better through the support that Friendship Bridge provides in that town. The Families in that town have been able to build houses, understand the importance of education and many of them had improved their lives by learning finances and the importance of supporting small business owners. I love HOBY Colorado! I g have been a volunteer since 2016 and was an Alum in 2015. They not only change lives, but bring people of different perspectives together to collaborate and work together. My team is very special to me every year as we work together to create change in students' lives. The most memorable memory I have of HOBY is first coming up to the steps of University of Denver after check in and having the J Staffers yell and scream cheers that boosted our morale. It made me want to continue those cheers over and over again for the years to come. HOBY's impact has been nothing but positive for my life. I always speak on how I was afraid to lead, but now I lead every day because of HOBY.

The Corcovado Foundation has been a trusted and reliable community partner for over 20 years. Our environmental work is north of the Osa Peninsula and there is a symbiosis connecting our mission statements and our work. We are a small organization and look to the Corcovado Foundation for guidance and mentorship; we are grateful for both.

The best way to support ARC is to shop their terrific thrift stores, located all over the Denver area. The money is used IN THE surrounding community, not sent back to a remote headquarters. There are a lot of great buys at these thrift stores. (Honestly, why buy new when there is so much perfectly good product waiting to be discovered at these thrift stores?) The stores are fairly large and, for a thrift store anywhere, easy to shop in with wide aisles and lots of variety. Each store is different, so we never know what we'll find there. If you shop carefully, there are good deals to be found. When we moved, we donated our best stuff to our local ARC because we know the revenue they receive from the sale of our donations will stay in the community.

Eaton Senior Communities in Lakewood, CO is NOT the place anyone should think of having a loved one move into! <br> <br>Not only are the living conditions bad, but they were written up in Westword's, "Colorado Places With the Most Repeat COVID Outbreaks." <br> <br>Mom lived there and it was AWFUL! <br> <br>1. They somehow gained access to her mail and held onto it. She missed a VERY important government deadline as a result. <br>2. They refused to tell a pharmacy delivery person how to get to her apartment so she was without her daily meds for WEEKS. She needs her inhaler, blood pressure, thyroid, medications DAILY! The same person that got ahold of her mail is the same person that refused to tell the delivery driver how to get to her apartment. She placed it on a shelf downstairs by her desk. Mom couldn't leave her apartment to go get her meds, because she had break-through covid at the time. <br>3. Mysterious deaths in their Assisted Living building prior to her moving in there. <br>4. Mom had anaphylactic reactions multiple times to food the chef had prepared for her. <br>5. Management saying, "If you don't like it here, move," if you complained about something. <br>6. Tenants/staff divulged her unlisted/unpublished phone number to their friends knowing full well mom had been having problems with an ex that was harassing/stalking her. <br>7. Homeless sleeping in the main lobby. Another time someone broke into the building and destroyed property. Eaton is supposed to be a "secure" building. <br>8. Tenants that needed to be in assisted living would come to mom's door and try to get in. <br>9. I've been impressed by Colorado Open Lands since I was first introduced in 2013. Their staff has the knowledge and passion to get things done! They keep overhead low so I know my donations go straight toward protecting Colorado's land, water, and wildlife!

The way they preach the Gospel, the way they physically take care of the needy, the way they love others… I’m proud to be a partner and friend of HOMM.

I have donated to the NSP several times. By donating, one helps injured skiers and boarders who are assisted during medical emergencies when injured. Funds are needed so patrollers can be trained to provide emergency care and to purchase medical supplies in order for them to perform their duties well. So please consider giving to this worthy cause as we seek to better serve the skiing public.

Jeffco Action Center is known to and supported by the faith community in the county. Volunteers are welcomed from both churches and any individual/group with a desire to serve neighbors who are struggling. Food is donated from various businesses and fills a pantry from which clients can shop - for free. Other non-monetary donations are sorted and sold (if valuable enough to bring money to fund services) or given back to the community (school supplies, food & clothing for those in need, etc.). Clients receive counseling on self-reliance and are given a personalized roadmap to various programs for housing and financial support along the way. The Action Center has been around for a long time and is well-known in the community as a source of help for those in Jefferson County that are suffering a setback in life. A good place to donate your time & money.

The Tigers 13 AA team and coaches are the most unsportsmanlike of all the teams we've ever played. From allowing, and no doubt encouraging, profanity and hate speech on the field, blatant badgering and being sore losers, these coaches should not be allowed near children, much less molding them.

Fallen Angel Aviator Foundation is a fantastic organization that is truly dedicated to helping our heroes. They have built a foundation of serving and sacrifice to their organization and spread it throughout the community. I am inspired by their commitment to our countries bravest and their families.

Joseph's Journey came into our lives at the most opportune moment. As my husband was facing his battle with Leukemia, a co-worker and friend asked us if we would interested in volunteering for the Annual Fishing Derby. Perspective… that’s what we gained. A rejuvenated respect for life, and a new passion for the wonderful work that Joseph’s Journey provides to the community. We both continue to volunteer for this wonderful organization, and are excited to see the smiles on the children’s faces as they attend the Fishing Derby and read the wonderful letters from the Journey participants.

This museum continues to provide Denver area visitors with a unique experience by highlighting art and culture, history and handcraft, imagination and play. The scope of services this small place offers to the community is amazing. Hosting tours, workshops for kids and adults beginning levels to advanced, ever changing exhibits, after-hours events, fundraisers, traveling exhibits, an annual, internationally recognized Miniatures show for 35 years, educational programs, community days and cooperation with other non-profits are just a few of the things offered on a small budget with a few people. Using the familiar to connect in such a charming and lovely way with people makes this museum a genuine treasure.

Iv worked at ICAST as volunteer, then intern, and now as a full-time employee. What I like most about ICAST and its programs is that they strategy in making the most impact possible not only works, its lasting! All together, its great working here, because we get to see positive improvements on society, the environment, and the economy all at the same time!

This place is a little known jewel near Denver! The no-kill, limited cage shelter takes surrenders, rescues and special needs cats, and cares for them until the end of their lives if not adopted. I got my manx/siamese cat there. She had been adopted and returned three times over her six years of life due to no fault of her own - though her special needs require training and daily care. If not for their generous return policy and love for special needs cats, I am not sure what would have happened to Izzabella. They were very careful to see that we got the hands-on training necessary over a one month period before we could bring her home - they were very protective of her - as they should have been. The upstairs of the shelter houses the cats with chronic illness, such as FIV, feline leukemia and others, as well as foster homes Adoptable cats are downstairs in separate rooms - overflow when there is a great need are the cages as a last result (or if a cat is unable to get along with roommates). They are small and run on a shoe-string budget - consider donating, volunteering or adopting there! I have done all three and appreciate them so much!

ASEA, also known as PSIA-AASI (Professional Ski Instructors of America and American Association of Snowboard Instructors) is having a phenomenal impact on people with disabilities by making it possible for them to be included in the kinds of winter sports activities that their family members and social friends take for granted. By setting the standards for safe and effective instruction and training volunteers and professional instructors in the methods and equipment needed to provide the best experience for disabled learners, this organization is opening up a whole new area of joy and exhilaration for anyone who wants to participate, regardless of skill or ability. Time to live, time to give... <br>I am a guy who's life has been full of struggles, heartbreaks & self-destructive tendencies. I am nothing particularly special, but I understand something about hardships. I had a tough childhood, without any real guidance. I made a lot of poor choices off the best of my own, limited understanding. Little did I know, my life has positioned me to play a role in walking along side of people who are in need of love & to be shown their unsurpassable worth. <br>Dry Bones friend's have taught me about how harsh life can be. The tough stories I have heard about lives shattered through abuse, neglect, abandonment & addictions,really puts perspective in life. I have been blessed to see the victories in life of those who have been reached, rescued, reclaimed & reconciled. These victories are nothing short of miraculous! <br>Along with the good, there are many stories of our friend's lives cut short. This too offers a perspective of urgency on the Dry Bones mission. This is an amazing platform to learn relational sustainability in a healthy, mentoring way. <br>I believe we all have gifts. Gifts that are desperately needed by our street friend's. Conversations began, information is exchanged and before you know it, you are giving worth to someone who had been discarded. They will also assure you that you are invaluable. All people have value. All people deserve dignity & love. I am not in a position to give financially at this point in my life, but I do have time. The time I give comes back to me ten fold. I look at others differently. This year DDRC is celebrating 50 years of serving people with intellectual and developmental disabilities! I have been involved with DDRC for over 33 years and have seen them provide quality, person centered opportunities, receive ethics in business awards, named nonprofit of the year, consistently receive the highest certification of rehabilitation facilities. They also provide families real choices of service providers, treat individuals with dignity and offer quality programs. DDRC is run by a diverse board of directors with the majority made up of parents of individuals, an individual with intellectual and developmental disability and various community members with a variety of backgrounds. DDRC has grown in response to community needs and now serves of 3000 people (from infants through seniors) per year. It has been an easy task to promote such a caring mission based organization!

Without the continued support of fantastic volunteers every Monday who work so hard, the donations of food, clothing, money and St. Paul for the use of their facility Grant Avenue Street Reach could not continue. <br> <br>As we begin to enter into the holiday season, please keep us in mind.
