“It was a tremendous opportunity and experience to partner with Ca ReLeaf during many months of 2020. Although a small grant it was at times a challenging task, but with the assistance of Chuck Mills and Amelia Oliver, Greening Los Osos was able to complete their project of planting 16 fifteen gallon native trees on two different properties in this coastal <br>community. All board members shared in this labor of love and were so pleased to see the finished product. We are hoping to have more projects like this in the future with the goal to reduce greenhouse gasses and all the other benefits that trees provide. <br>Ca ReLeaf is a tremendous benefit and resource to small non-profits like Greening Los Osos.”<br>

Vegan Outreach is known for their massive outreach program of leafleting on college campuses where they hand out booklets to about one million students at 1,000 schools per semester. They're a 501c3 nonprofit organization working to end violence towards animals. <br> <br>They also focus on outreach involving free vegan food samples, showing virtual reality videos, and tabling booklets at vegfests, cat and dog festivals, Comic-Cons, yoga festivals, farmers markets, and other fairs and conventions worldwide. <br> <br>We first heard of Vegan Outreach when we were surveying the possibility of creating technology at college campuses to help students with animal rights outreach programs. We were excited to see that an organization like Vegan Outreach had already been laying down the groundwork for several years on campuses around the world in an effort to educate students on factory farming and veganism. <br> <br>Later we partnered with Vegan Outreach's Mentorship Program in order to increase Vegan Bootcamp's effectiveness to over 10,000 non-vegans who were taking courses on going vegan. Our experience with Vegan Outreach's staff has been nothing short of amazing and we're so excited to continue both working with them and seeing what other great things they will be doing for the movement. <br> <br>We highly recommend checking Vegan Outreach out whether you want to get involved, learn more about them, or support their work by sharing or donating. <br> <br>Thanks for all that you do!

As coordinator for the Santa Clara Valley Water District's education outreach program, I have found the Water Education Foundation to be an invaluable resource. The trainings and tours provided are excellent and helped prepare me to outreach to educators in the Santa Clara Valley. Resources provided by the Water Education foundation are of the highest quality. Project WET is the best resource for teachers looking for curriculum on water. Additional resources provided by the Water Education Foundation are also excellent. I distribute these materials to teachers who are thrilled by the expertise evidenced by their breadth and quality. I have been associated with the foundation for many years and always found their personnel to be knowledgeable and helpful. It has been a pleasure to work with them.

We have attempted to cancel our monthly donation for several months. We have tried multiple phone calls where we were assured that it would be cancelled. When that didn't work we cancelled the debit card associated with the account. When the transaction was denied due to the cancelled card, Environment California reached out to Visa, showed them the signed agreement my husband made when he originally set up the donation and got his new card number and processed the transaction. I can't believe that this is possible, that one isn't able to change their mind about a donation due to changes in financial well being or any other reason, it feels criminal.

I read about SCI many years ago when it was really just a tiny operation. It seemed so elegantly simple a solution to so many problems in the third world and in the first. They promoted cheap, simple devices that provided clean water and cooking without combustion around the world. In places with growing populations, limited infrastructure and services, low incomes, and lots of refugees SCI was doing something to help immediately. On top of that, solar cookers offer a way for us rich people in the first world to reduce our impact on the planet by cooking with the sun. Over the years, the group has grown some and expanded its reach, but it is still a grass-roots organization with a tiny staff and lots of volunteers. This is probably my favorite non-profit of the number I donate to.

As a member of NSAC's Advisory Board, working with Heidi, her staff, and the board has been a rewarding experience. Heidi's leadership in driving California and other states to a more circular economy is exemplary. By working with government, businesses, nonprofits, and community-based organizations, NSAC continues to make a difference in moving us forward to a better future. I'm proud to have been invited to be a tiny sliver of this remarkable organization, and I encourage you to get involved.

The PCTA does a fantastic job with limited personnel and budget. By leveraging the staffs skills and a huge volunteer group they not only maintain a 2,658 mile trail corridor, they work to protect it from numerous encroaching threats and see and find funding to purchase key tracks of land.

Their scion exchange is a good event. You can watch a grafting demonstration and there are large amounts of different varieties to graft onto your existing trees or a rootstock. There are also things you can root like figs and pomegrantes.

All I can do is give All Thanks and I am Grateful for this Program..I spent much money and time from several shops trying to fix My check engine issues...Finally with the assistance and guidence of Valley Can program we were able to finnally resolve the problem..Here in bakersfield .Ca. I took it to Elias Smog Shop, and they were very helpful, and got right on the Problem...Yes they handled it like True Pros...Thank U for ending ,and fixing My Car...Yes, Now it Passed Smog !!...B Ford

The Sacramento Area Creeks Council has lead Creek Week Festivities for about 25 years. This includes about 80 clean up sites each year now and over 2000 volunteers. Creek Week is a week long set of activities centered around raising awareness about our local urban creeks. After nature walks for the first 6 days including a "Splash Off" event to get it started with honoring a local high school for their environmental efforts, day 7 is the "Clean Up and Celebration Day". Volunteers meet early in the morning on a Saturday at their favorite clean up site and help pick up litter from creeks in the Sacramento area. Exhibitors set up displays and activities at Carmichael Park in Carmichael, CA and receive visitors from about 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Volunteers receive a free tee shirt and lunch, plus other freebies from the various agencies and organizations who staff exhibits. This has been a very well run operation for years and they do a great service for the Sacramento area!
