As a member of NSAC's Advisory Board, working with Heidi, her staff, and the board has been a rewarding experience. Heidi's leadership in driving California and other states to a more circular economy is exemplary. By working with government, businesses, nonprofits, and community-based organizations, NSAC continues to make a difference in moving us forward to a better future. I'm proud to have been invited to be a tiny sliver of this remarkable organization, and I encourage you to get involved.
NSAC is a great organization focused on EPR and circular economy. Their work is much need to help better our environment for future generations to come.
I could not have been more pleased when Executive Director Heidi Sanborn invited me to consider serving as an early board member of the National Stewardship Action Council. I was familiar with Heidi and her work through years of watching her effective program management and policy development at prior organizations. Its no surprise that she has turned NSAC into a unique c4 organization equally at home working with businesses, governments, and NGOs. Her comfort in uncomfortable places allows her to forge partnerships, push boundaries, and create actual change among sometimes contentious bedfellows. Heidi and NSAC's staff blend deep technical knowledge (e.g. pharmaceuticals, blown glass aggregate, anaerobic digestion, laminated packaging, etc.) with powerful political insight and relationships to change the way our economy works. NSAC's approach certainly drives toward a circular economy, but more significantly it does so while also including diverse, and often overlooked stakeholders. Join the fun; get in touch.
