Fantastic experience while adopting two cats, staff was very knowledgeable of each individual cat and behavior profiles were spot on. She even warned me that Charlie can be a handful at times which she was right but my household grew to love him just the same.

When our kids were young, we used to make the 150 mile round trip to visit the zoo, Playland, and Storyland in Fresno. They loved those visits! Might our giving show support and help keep these available for kids now and in the future? Let's try...

Kings View worked tirelessly through the Pandemic to help the homeless and those in need. Everything from providing temporary housing to food and water. Their wellness centers kept in touch with clients and were able to conduct virtual sessions and home activities that were picked up at the centers. The Central Valley Suicide Prevention hotline received triple the number of calls from those in crisis, and were able to meet the need.

My 19 year old son jumped on me today choked me busted my lip then came<br>Through my window and Jumped on me again and choked my 7 year old son he also threatened to put a plastic bag over my head to kill me I am in fear of my life he has a key to my house I pressed charges and Marjorie mason would not help me with shelter or anything else. I was in they’re shelter before for domestic violence and it was not the best experience being in that situation they need to be investigated

Since I can no longer work physically as an advocate for the homeless (The Bishops Advocacy Committee for the Homeless) I hope this contribution will help fill in the gap.

I began volunteering at the Fresno Rescue Mission as an assignment for one of my college courses. I worked with a group of 4, and I know that all of us, can equally say that the Fresno Rescue Mission has changed our perspectives of the homeless here in Fresno. The Fresno Rescue Mission provides so many different resources from feeding the homeless, providing emergent care for the homeless, providing overnight shelter for when the weather is under 35 degrees, and they assist the community in so many other ways! As I previously mentioned, I began volunteering here for an assignment, but now as I have completed that, I continue volunteering here and I am continually being blessed. I enjoy coming down to the mission, and reaching out to the homeless community that many people aren't quite aware of. There are so many homeless people living on the streets that it is very impacting to see that one organization can make such a huge difference in our community! I can say that the Fresno Rescue Mission blesses and positively impacts hundreds of lives on a daily basis, and it has been amazing to see this and become a part of this firsthand! As a volunteer, most of the volunteering activities are serving dinner for the homeless which is prepared by some of the FRM staff and some of the disciples of the academy. Working firsthand with the staff and disciples has also been a blessing to me; everyone there is incredibly kind and they always share a little bit of their day with me. I have gotten to hear many of their stories as to how they ended up at the FRM and how it has made such a positive difference in their own lives! One of the most impacting moments I have spent at the FRM was during the Thanksgiving Luncheon, when the volunteers and staff of the FRM put together a beautifully set lunch for the homeless. The luncheon was beautifully decorated, and they had a full course meal set for them. That day over 400 meals were served, and it was amazing to see the graciousness that these people have for the volunteers and staff. It has been an incredible experience volunteering at the FRM with everyone, being able to hear about so many people's stories and lives, and being able to make a positive difference in the community. I look forward to continuing to be apart of volunteering with the Fresno Rescue Mission, and hopefully making a positive impact on our community.

Vincent the Social Worker at Twilight Haven was told about abuse that my mother suffered at the hands of two employees at Twilight Haven and he did nothing about it. The place was crawling with roaches when I went to visit with my mother. My mother fell and was left on the floor for 2 hours.

I farm the Pistachios just North of Valley Teen Ranch for the past 28 years, and have seen many boys come and go, I've enjoyed stopping and talking to them when they out walking or jogging along road 35, some of them I even ask why they were at Valley Teen, I will not go into the reasons they were sent there in the first place, but I will tell you that many of the boys came from places and homes that made it very differcult to succeed and not to get in trouble, and their time at Valley Team gives them a second chance, and time to put their past behind them, Clear their heads and look forward to a bright future, instead of a path of distruction and dead ends and misery, Thank God for Valley Teen and Connie and her staff, that are dedicated in making a difference in these young men's life

Volunteers are the heartbeat of the St. Vincent de Paul Center of Hanford CA. There are no compensesation to any of the over 90 volunteers that staff the organization. In 2013 St. Vincent was awarded the Points of Light Service Enterprise Certificate for volunteerism. St. Vincent services over 15,000 individuals each year with food and clothing. There are no cost for our services but clients must meet low-income criteria and have a picture identification. St Vincent is an intergal part of the Hanford community each year we participate with other organizations. The United Way Project Homeless Connect, Soroptomist Child Spree, Veteran's Stand-down, Community Food Bank Holiday Meal baskets, Kings Community Action Drought Distribution meal boxes and the United States Marines Toys for Tots program with toy distribution.

I have known the founder of this mission, Dr Yoon Kwon Chae for over 40 years. His preaching, writing, compassion, and administration have spawned many churches, established a university, and reached out to the whole world by supporting Korean missionaries. This mission is worthy of your interest and support.

I believe that King of Kings helped me a lot. At first I didn't like it because I wasn't ready. but as I started getting more comfortable with the program, I started learning a lot about myself, such as the personality defects that was stopping me from changing my old behaviors and habits. I thought I was fine the way I was. I found out that I wasn't and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I am glad that I was in a controlled environment because I broke down. They were very helpful and supportive. they helped me to pick myself up and to learn how to work every day the right way. I Thank them for everything

San Joaquin Valley Town Hall is a non profit, all volunteer lecture series that has been in existence for 76 seasons in Fresno, CA. It has nationally renowned speakers to educate, entertain and stimulate it's audiences of 700 to 1400 people from the San Joaquin Valley. All students and teachers, educators are admitted free. Town Hall is intellectually stimulating and an educative force for the community.

Community Link is one of the most important major sponsors of over 12 plus programs in and for the Fresno and surrounding area's LGBTQI community. News Link Newspaper (now in 18th year), youth programs, elder programs, outreach programs, speakers programs, involvement programs, and the Fresno Rainbow Pride Parade and Festival every first Saturday of June. Fresno EOC has the audacity to transform itself and lead its communities in bridging the gap to self-sufficiency for community members who want a better quality of life. As a large public benefit agency with a long legacy, EOC was becoming stagnant internally and irrelevant to many community members. First the Board of Commissioners, then the Senior Leadership Team, and now the entire Culture is changing to a vision-centered force for positive change. One example is using its assets and the existing assets of Fresno to create new local businesses and new jobs where they are most needed. There are thousands more examples popping up around and through EOC every day.

The hidden or forgotten population of the church today is the frail seniors who can no longer drive themselves to services...not just church services, but the simple services we do daily-weekly and do them with such ease that we take it for granted. Gap is a loving Christian agency that helps seniors in need of basic life skill assistance for that forgotten population.

My experience with the California-Hawaii Elks Major Project Inc. has exceeded my expectations. My son has been receiving speech therapy through this organization for several months and he has made great improvements. Not only has my son benefited from the therapy itself, but as a parent, I have learned the tools I needed to help him succeed. I am very grateful for this organization.

This is only one of two organizations in California that has a Certified Volunteer Administrator who leads the Clearinghouse. The volunteers are Christians who attend a church here locally and want to share the love of Christ with others who are in need either physically, emotionally, and/or mentally. They truly care about each individual and will spend whatever time is necessary to make sure that not only is the physical need met but also the emotional and spiritual needs as well. Each volunteer gives three hours, one to two times a week "loving their neighbors as themselves" connecting people with churches or agencies that can help. They love what they do and they love being able to show the love of Christ to each individual that calls in. If people have trouble getting thru on the line, it is usually due to the time the volunteers invest in each person they talk with or to the lack of volunteers that have offered to serve. Each call is important to them so they spend the time needed to not just meet the obvious need but the underlying need as well. I would love to see them get at least 5 volunteers for each shift but that would mean that they would need one volunteer for every 10th church (there are over 500 churches in Fresno and Clovis). I volunteered in the Clearinghouse and it blessed me to be able to help others and show them Christ's love. It took me stepping out of what is comfortable but it grew me in more ways than I expected. I would highly recommend volunteering here.

I found this organization a few years ago, I had been addicted to drugs for many years and was needed someone to help me stay clean, I attended meetings and sessions. After one year of their guidance and teachings I became a better person and have been cleam for over # years and counting. I have been able to give back by volunteering as much as possible where every I may be neeeded. Thanks to FourWind Lodge I am able to walk the streets with my head up and my chest full of clean air.
