As coordinator for the Santa Clara Valley Water District's education outreach program, I have found the Water Education Foundation to be an invaluable resource. The trainings and tours provided are excellent and helped prepare me to outreach to educators in the Santa Clara Valley. Resources provided by the Water Education foundation are of the highest quality. Project WET is the best resource for teachers looking for curriculum on water. Additional resources provided by the Water Education Foundation are also excellent. I distribute these materials to teachers who are thrilled by the expertise evidenced by their breadth and quality. I have been associated with the foundation for many years and always found their personnel to be knowledgeable and helpful. It has been a pleasure to work with them.

As a life-long environmental educator I have been very impressed with the Water Education Foundation's school education program, Project WET (Water Education for Teachers). The lessons are of the highest quality in terms of content, balance and ease of use by educators. The Foundation has served as the state wide coordinating agency for California since the program's inception over 20 years ago. Their coordinator does an outstanding job of reaching out to educators as well as water agencies and environmental education networks to form partnerships to help make these excellent, fun-filled water education activities available to a huge percentage of California students. The commitment of the Foundation to this continuing school outreach program is admirable.

The Water Education Foundation (WEF) is a highly effective and ethical organization that I am proud to be affiliated with. They provide unmatched educational forums and materials on water issues primarily in California, Nevada, and Arizona. The WEF staff are very hardworking, and the staff and Board make sound financial decisions so that WEF can make the most use of the limited resources available to it. The staff live and breathe the message that they bring regarding California and related water issues. The quality of their work is extremely high and highly regarded. The Board itself is entirely volunteer and represent a cross section of the most highly-regarded individuals working in the water industries of California, Nevada, and Arizona. WEF is an outstanding organization fulfilling its mission.

I serve on the board of the Foundation because as an attorney in the water industry, i know how important i9tm is for the story to get out there. Facts, rather than fear, fiction or belief, is the best way to resolvem our water problems. As a board member I have been at the table when the Foundation does its work. It is objective and unbiased and issues are put in simple terms that the public can understand. It’s important that the public get information so they can understand and sort out these issues for themselves. I think that the publications and the activities of the Water Education Foundation greatly aid that effort

As the Director of The Nature Conservancy's California Water Program, I rely on the Water Education Foundation as a resource for topical and balanced information on water issues in California and the West. Through its work over the past 35 years, the Foundation has delivered high-quality products that are balanced, accurate and present all sides of an issue. The Foundation’s programs and publications, such as their intensive Water Tours or Western Water Magazine, are essential for anyone working or interested in water. -- Maurice Hall, Director, California Water Program, The Nature Conservancy

“The League of Women Voters has been involved with and actively supported the work of the Water Education Foundation for decades. Several of our key volunteers have served as board members of the Foundation over the years. We recognize the excellent and unbiased work of the Foundation on water issues and we rely on their factual information to inform California voters on key water issues that affect them.”
