Amazing nonprofit organisation. Fantastic newsletter, with all kinds of news, updates, good and bad. Petitions, advice, lots of knowledge. Truly dedicated people who are in it for nature, wildlife, animals 100%! Highly recommended and trustworthy! Thank you all ❤️
What amazing work this organisation does. As an ecologist myself I find that every newsletter from this non-profit contains the real life stories of success, power, loss and unwavering commitment to Nature, that which we are made of and that which many humans in modern society have detached from. Thank you fighting and speaking on behalf of those that cannot and may your empowerment of those that continue to be needed to be noticed drive on, creating the cracks in greed itself. Power to the People who put our Great Mother first. Thank you for being part of that journey.
This is by far the best nonprofit organization around. They make real change by taking the important issues to court and making legal action force the change to come about. If the laws change, habitats are protected, animal rights are protected, then real change is being enforced.
Everyone who cares about wildlife, or the environment should look at this nonprofit organization. They will not be disappointed, they will become elated! To see the change this group can bring about, the voices and the issues they tackle, make you truly want to join in, get involved and be part of this positive change.
This group knows that our home needs protecting, our environment and our wildlife are an integral part of our home.
This organization is there at the front lines for all these issues. They address the issues people don't want to talk about but need to.
This nonprofit is the best one I've seen, and I've stayed with them for well over a decade now, while I've been a part of other nonprofits that I've left because they didn't do anything, take any action, make any change, other than ask for donations. This nonprofit actually does something with those donations. We see it. Court costs are ridiculous but they go anyway, they fight to bring about that change - no matter the cost. They show up everywhere they are needed. They take action and they make action. They bring positive changes to the system.
This is the kind of group all others should model themselves after. That's how good this one is.
The Center is one of the best nonprofits to be involved with. They are hitting hard where it counts, forcing the changes that need to be made right at the source, to protect wildlife and habitat across the USA. They are not about just marching in the street with a wonderful voice, they are also in the courtrooms, onsite at destruction trying to help clean up, online informing us with videos and information, and everywhere else anyone with a passion for protecting wildlife and the environment would be. The Center is truly a leader to follow.
I am a single mother of 3 boys working on a teacher's salary yet every month I set aside money to donate to the Center for Biological Diversity. The tireless work they do to save animals from every conceivable threat is crucial. I am so proud to support this organization .
I stumbled upon the Center about a year ago, after signing one of their petitions online. I had been growing increasingly concerned about the unprecedented corruption of our governmental institutions under the previous Presidential administration, especially with regard to the agencies who are supposed to PROTECT our wildlife and environment, not destroy it. I was happy to see that this organization was actively fighting to protect our precious lands, wildlife, and environment.
In the months that followed, I researched the Center and learned that they were doing far more to protect our planet and its living creatures, than I ever imagined. I decided to become a member and support them, and I have no regrets. They are one nonprofit that I feel I can fully trust, and they consistently get real results. Their newsletter is always a welcome sight to see, and they waste no time getting directly to the information on the newest fights they're facing, and the many frequent wins and true progress they're achieving!
I'm very careful with the nonprofits I choose to support, due to the unfortunate number of corrupt one's that exist, but I have no worries or concerns about the CFBD at all! I'm extremely happy to know that there's people like them fighting to defend our planet and its diverse living inhabitants!
Keep up the great work!
I look forward to the Center's emails every week. They are highly educational about all the different parts of the ecosystem, from the tiniest plant to the biggest bear. They use their funds and expertise to vigorously defend the animals and plants from corporate greed, willful pollution and hunters and have achieved many victories. Well done team and long may you continue!
Having worked for 2 decades in international conflict resolution (primarily religiously motivated peacemaking), I then learned about the Sixth Mass Extinction Underway (see David Ulansey website by this name). I resolved to work, henceforth, to preserve the entire community of life. I reasoned that by working for peacemaking only among humans, thereby potentially enlarging the human population, it could hasten ecological collapse by way of human exploitation of the planet and the larger community of life. I also reasoned that once we embrace all of life as precious, we just might stop demonizing human groupings that are different from us---"the enemy other". That's a long lead-in to explain why I value the Center for Biological Diversity so highly. They are the state of the art in educating us about and defending the diversity of life on planet Earth. I am a very modest donor only because of my financial circumstances. It is by no means a measure of the esteem in which I hold this organization!
I support 2 top notch non-profits: The Center for Biological Diversity and Endangered Species International. They both complement each others with amazing results for animals and our planet.
I make a point to read Biological Diversity's emails every week. This nonprofit does the difficult and much needed work to keep the public informed and engaged to make positive change for animals, people and our earth. Superb and caring organization!
I love getting emails from this organization because it keeps me in the loop while also linking ways that I can help!
It is so easy to sign petitions and write letters to my representatives about events that really matter.
I have been following The CBD since I was younger and they've inspired and energized me to advocate and fight for our precious creatures and land.
I am amazed by the work that the Center of Biological Diversity does for endangered species, for the environment, and ultimately for the planet.
I donate to the CBD as often as I can.
I feel that if the planet has a future, it will be because of organizations like the CBD.
Thank you for the work you do, CBD!
This organization is one of the few I support with a monthly donation. Their efforts to preserve wildlife and biodiversity stand apart from similar organizations. I am proud to support their efforts.
I am a subscriber to the Center for Biological Diversity newsletter, which I read with great interest and enthusiasm. They have good objectives, and they are willing to take on corruption and the lackeys that give no regard to the environment.
I am deeply appreciative or their opposition to those big mining interests, such as the Rosemont Mine and Rio Tinto's Oak Flat. Those corporations want to make a moonscape out of the beautiful Arizona landscapes. This is an organization that is determined to save our water resources, protect species, protect the landscape and environment, and educate the public. Whenever I get a notification to sign a petition or submit public comments, I always do so with enthusiasm and the hope that the natural world is protected. They also work in the interests of the native American Indians.
Thank you for standing up for what is right and proper!
The CBD is a top notch non-profit. I highly recommend folks check out their work and support it. I don't think any other organization does such a cost effective job actively work to solve one of the biggest problems we have on the planet - a lose of biodiversity.
They are at the top of my list for donations. Not only do they do amazing work and are so devoted to helping, supporting, and sustaining wildlife and the environment, I like how the organization's leaders do not take huge amounts of donated money for their salaries like some other organizations unfortunately do. Their customer service has always been responsive and helpful.
With the extinction crisis threatening life on earth, the Center for Biological Diversity is using science, advocacy and every legal tool to save it. This organization is literally standing in the way of extinction for hundreds if not thousands of species. I donate every month to four charities and I give twice to the Center than all the others. The importance of their work cannot be exaggerated.
One of the most effective environmental non-profits out there. They pull no punches and get results. They get my vote as the best at what they do.
I have been an environmentalist for over 50 years and am a member of a fairly large number of environmental organizations. I support the groups with donations and five of them are in my will, including the Center for Biological Diversity. I consider the CBD the best of all of these organizations. They are a scrappy, activist, group that fights hard for endangered species and the environment, often with positive results. They understand the importance of biodiversity and know the biology required to understand and educate about issues.
We have donated to the Center for Biological Diversity for some years. Two years ago, my husband suggested that I make some hard choices among our charitable organizations that focus on ecology and earth welfare. I whittled our list and chose two organizations to increase our donation to: the Center for Biological Diversity is one of those two. It clearly has the least emphasis on marketing and the most direct and understandable presentation of its interests, efforts AND achievements. The clarity of its intentions and impact is commendable.
The Center for Biological Diversity quite simply does more than any other organization to save our planet - not only for other species, but for ourselves. There is no organization more worthy of your support!
Of all the non-profits I have donated to or worked with, I rate the Center for Biological Diversity at the top. Their legal efforts on behalf of threatened and endangered species, using existing law to force higher levels of protection, have been the most effective actions taken to preserve the lands, waters, plants, and wildlife of our country since the signing of the Endangered Species Act. If protecting nature is your cause, there is no better organization you could contribute to!
The Center is one of the best and most effective environmental organizations out there. They take bad actors to court and more often than not, win their cases. Their integrity, along with their determination and talent to fight for the protection of the environment and wildlife, is unparalleled!
I have been a fan of the Center for many years as they fight to protect our planet from toxic industries that seek to destroy the environment for profits. They win most of their court cases so for that reason alone, they are worthy of our donations. They never give up. They never let up. Without their persistence, the planet would be in far worse shape than it is. Thank you Center, for all you do!
Amazing organization. Always bringing awareness to the public about environmental issues and animals in peril. Honest and caring and doing what’s right for animals and the environment.
The Center for Biological Diversity fights so many important causes and keeps us informed about the perils that wildlife, plants, seas and skies face and what we can do to help and/or prevent them.
I live in the EU, and still find this organization very inspirational and relevant to the rest of the world!
The world desperately needs the Center for Biological Diversity! They are everywhere, doing everything, and making a huge difference for countless species across the planet..... including humans! Whenever you have a chance to support and/or get involved with this organization, your efforts will be recognized and your contribution will be meaningful.
The Center for Biological Diversity has kept me informed about the important issues that need action from me, a citizen of the United States. I'm grateful for the work they do, because I don't have the skills required. I write letters, when asked, and make phone calls to the politicians and administrators that have the control. I gratefully contribute monthly to the Center and have for many years
I've been reading the Center for Biological Diversity's emails and website for a long time now, as well as donating small amounts through their website and through PayPal, a pain-free way to make a difference. I really like giving through PayPal; a dollar here and a dollar there adds up. The cause is such a good one; mass extinction is as serious as the climate crisis; they go hand in hand.
This organization is the most organized, vocal yet kind group I have worked with that operates on a large scale. They also create coalitions with other groups, some of which are much smaller in scope and help them with their outreach. They offer education, inspiration, encourage citizen science and creative options for outreach. The people involved are polite and professional in the public domain whether it be at meetings, canvasing, phone bank work or research. Their website is easy to follow and each campaign gives clear direction on who to contact. The zoom dialogues and programs are well worth the time and builds a strong on line community along with other networking devices.
CBD is the only environmental organization willing to tackle the HUGE negative impact animal agriculture plays in destroying our environment and threatening life on Earth as we know it. For that, they have my utmost respect and gratitude.
Center for Biological Diversity Inc.
How do we thank you for being a soldier for the earth, environment, flora, fauna & all the wonderful living creatures that live here, in the skies, in the oceans, seas, lakes, rivers & on the earths ground? I think your posts, stories & information regarding your legal actions show good people the importance of saving, protecting & teaching. As a non-profit you are strong, just & good. Keep up the good work on behalf of our beautiful planet & the living things that reside here. The Center for Biological Diversity is an organization that is much needed. Thank you so much for all your efforts, they do not go unnoticed.
The Center for Biological Diversity is a great resource for information, education, and action. They're a strong, proactive force for protecting the wildlife and wilderness we all depend on. What I love is they don't just care about singular issues. They see the connections among issues and work for systemic, sustainable, and powerful solutions.
The Center for Biological Diversity is tackling the extinction crisis and protecting our ecosystems and wildlife in smart, strategic ways. They go beyond online petitions (though they do that too) and tackle environmental destruction from multiple angles. I also love that they see the relationship among different issues, not getting isolated but rather coordinating with other organizations and groups across issues for maximum impact. They take risks and stand strong and do a lot of important advocacy and education.
While I support several environmental groups by reading their newsletters and signing and sharing action alerts, the Center for Biological Diversity is the only one I support financially . . . because the "get it." They get that we are eating ourselves (and the other species we share the planet with) out of house and home with our seemingly insatiable appetite for animal flesh and secretions and they are not afraid to address the fact our human population is ballooning out of control.
I WORKED WITH THE CENTER TO GET PROTECTIONS FOR POLAR BEARS. THEY ARE THE BEST NONPROFIT THAT I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS THE BEST THING THAT WE NEED TO PRESERVE RIGHT NOW. CLIMATE CHANGE HAS THREATENED MORE SPECIES THAN EVER BEFORE, AND WE NEED TO DO WHATEVER WE CAN TO PROTECT ALL THE THREATENED, ENDANGERED, AND CRITICAL ANIMALS ON OUR PLANET. EARTH WILL NEVER BE "HOME" AS WE KNOW IT UNLESS WE CAN KEEP THESE ANIMALS HERE.
With the need to manage our environment differently, which will take decades if not centuries, this is the one organization that is making a real difference today. Their work to maintain the diversity of plants and animals that currently exists on Earth is preventing the irrevocable loss of many, many species. They are a key factor in our ability to insure that future generations have the kind of world that the people before them were able to experience. We all need to do our part to prevent further degradation, and we've got the Center working to maintain many species that are at high risk today.
I've been a supporter of Center for Biological Diversity for over a decade because they consistently work on causes for the environment and with animals that need the most protection. They actually make a difference and get things accomplished.
The Center for Biological Diversity is the real deal. They do (at times) boring, frustrating, and absolutely crucial work. When I donate (as I regularly do), I know I'm getting high value for my contributions.
I give to several environmental charities but this is the organization I feel the best about supporting. Their work is impactful and they are not afraid to sue when necessary to enforce our critical environmental laws. As an environmental attorney, I appreciate the level of expertise they bring to the table as well as the breadth and depth of the issues they cover.
I love the fact that they address overpopulation. Also false solutions to climate change such as biomass and mega dams.
They are definitely one of the most hard-hitting and best performing organizations out there.
I almost always agree with them on what is important and where to focus their energies.
They have a heart and care about the things that I care about and their lawsuits get great results. I like knowing that the donations I make are getting things done.
Thank you CBD.
Worth every penny! They truly care and don’t waste money on giving donors “free gifts.” No gimmicks, they just get the job done.
The Center for Biological Diversity is one of the most committed organizations working to support the diverse environment in North America. they work tirelessly to keep the habitat for so many animals safe from habitat destruction and encroachment as well as other things interfering with the sustainability of the environment.
One of the best of its kind .So much value in a variety of causes that moves the needle in the
right direction ! Bravo to you !!
CBD is one of the best environmental organizations working to save our natural world.
I have been following them for a few years now. They are knowledgeable and competent.
I was especially impressed when their president was personally called out by their opponents doing the take over of the National Refuge a few years ago. They are not intimidated by
their opponents and they are Bulldogs, be it on the front lines or in court to protect what remains of the natural planet.
I am continuously blown away by Center for Bio Diversity's commitment to wildlife conservation using cutting edge science, law and policy, and media to get the word out. Center for Bio Diversity is the leader in conservation and puts action to where "rubber meets the road." Not only do they provide education and outreach, but they activate the masses and get the word out to policy makers through carefully worded petitions and letters that are carried swiftly up the chain, resulting in real change.
They will have my support until the day I die (and beyond) and epitomize the work that desperately needs to be done before it's too late.
I'm so grateful for the work of the Center for Biological Diversity. They have taken on a critical role in protecting animals, wildlands and the climate. As someone with a deep appreciation for the environment and the biodiversity of our planet, I'm a huge supporter of this organization.
This is one of the few charities I recommend for their tireless efforts, advocacy and successful interventions on behalf of polar bears and other animals facing extinction.

Dear friends at the Center for Biological Diversity,
I am just becoming aware of your group and intend to learn more about your history and your contributions to saving our wildlife and hence helping to rescue all species of life on our perilously endangered planet.
I already sense that your group is doing important and essential work toward defending the many threatened species of wildlife that will become extinct without our commitment to fighting for their right to exist.
I look forward to connecting with you again soon and making whatever contribution I can to your urgently needed efforts.
Most sincerely yours,

The Center for Biological Diversity is at the very top of my list for organizations defending the environment! They tackle a wide range of environmental issues and do it with great success!
I donate to several environmental organizations, but the Center for Biological Diversity is by far my favorite! I don't know of any other that does more for the protection of wildlife and wildlife habitat. They are a constant and consistent positive force on behalf of our imperiled planet. I love this exceptional organization!
Of all the nonprofits that stand up for wildlife and our environment, I've chosen Center for Biological Diversity to be a monthly donor. I am so very very grateful for their dedication and effectiveness, thank you so much!!
As a science teacher for more than 30 years who has worked toward a goal of students and others caring more about other living beings of ALL sorts on Earth, I greatly appreciate the uncompromising holistically healthy stance CBD consistently takes as an advocate for the well-being of all species and ecosystems. CBD always sticks up for healthy ecosystems, including all denizens, FIRST and foremost, often in opposition to many of the myths of so-called "progress" and the typical "American Dream" which has caused so much environmental damage by its myopic over-consumptive habits. It's not, for CBD, about coddling outdated and myopic destructive human habits that still persist, despite the relatively new knowledge we have gained about ecology and our impacts in the last 50+ years.
Besides their invaluable and expert legal efforts, those at CBD also are wonderful educators, sharing their enthusiasm and love for the amazing non-human Earthlings, both floral and faunal, that comprise the healthy ecosystems upon which we humans depend for the long-term quality of our own existence. By enthusing others, CBD aids planetary health.
I also appreciate CBD's willingness to enable me to participate through petitions and other actions even though I am currently unable to financially support them in the limited ways I was previously at least able to chip in. THANK YOU, Center for Biological Diversity !
I respect how the CFBD monitors habitat and animal protection and takes issue with violations and dangers imposed on both. They are a force to be reckoned with and I will continue to support and respect this nonprofit.
I know I can count on the Center for Biological Diversity for timely, accurate information about wildlife, lands, the environment and how they and we can help preserve a healthy Earth for all creatures who live here. I appreciate how they offer educational information about all the issues that I follow (re: wildlife, the environment, climate crisis), and that they are persistent in pursuing solutions to the environmental crises we find our selves in. I donate to them feeling totally confident in their work.
I have been a supporter for years and feel this is the best value per dollar of mine to be invested in the effort to attenuate the extinction crisis. I especially appreciate their frequent online communication and their avoidance of the mountains of wasted paper snail mail that I get from other well-known but less conscientious environmental conservation organizations. I quit donating to Sierra Club to reduce the resources they waste on mailing me non-informative junk mail.
I have been a supporter of the Center for Biological Diversity for many years. They are relentless in their defense of wildlife, Wildlands and the environment. They also are great educators, with weekly emails, weekly on-line magazines and numerous zoom lectures. I am confident that if there is a critical conservation issue, the Center for Biological Diversity will have a plan to address it.
The Center for Biological Diversity is my favorite nonprofit. They are extremely effective and are relentless in their protection of wildlife. They are also a socially conscious organization that clearly understands the relationship between a healthy environment and healthy humans. During the pandemic, the Saving Life on Earth campaign is providing weekly webinars that are very educational and lead to a higher level of involvement for members.
CBD is one of the most passionate and effective environmental groups. They have the courage that too many other groups lack. Their list of impressive environmental achievements is long and always growing. I’ve worked with them as a volunteer and know they are very professional. They deserve and need greater public donations and other support.
This organization brings me so much joy. I give as much as I can. Living in a time when I am feeling inundating with heartbreak from so much suffering that sometimes I want to throw up my hands, this organization keeps on going and ... making huge changes! They really do create positive impacts in the world. They help to inspire me to keep going because the work they do is essential. I feel so much gratitude for this group, their perseverance, and fortitude. One of the emails that I cannot wait to open and often end of giving from both rage for what is happening, to appreciation for the magic and beauty nature offers us and in the world, and gratitude for the many wins... and their willingness to keep going until they get a win. I should really write them a love note! So much gratitude for this organization and its team.
I can always count on the Center for Biological Diversity to fight for wildlife. Even the strongest and fiercest animals are made vulnerable by human greed and destruction. The Center is there to remind us that all life is precious and that animals, all species, are so very important to our environment.
Simply the best boots on the ground non-profit for our marvelous planet and all it's diverse occupants.
I give when I can. And support their efforts by signing petitions, calling those in Washington and here at home and spreading the word.
Thanks for the great leadership!
I have been fighting to save the ancient Redwoods in northern California for years. The Center for Biological Diversity has helped a lot and continues to be a breath of fresh air i our struggle.
Thank you. Bess Bair
Center for Biological Diversity is active in many realms - not just in AZ but locally (here in California and elsewhere); not just education but also legal action against destroyers of the environment.
I donate to many environmental protection groups, but the Center for Biological Diversity gets the most because they are so very effective.
At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, we work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive.
We want those who come after us to inherit a world where the wild is still alive.
This is the one non-profit that I consistently support because they are on the front lines saving endangered species and they get results! While there are many important environmental organizations doing great work, the Center for Biological Diversity are out there making things happen, and not just in far off localities.
I live in Colorado Springs where a rare species of greenback cutthroat trout was proven to be a unique species. The area is now managed differently with cars banned from the dirt road along the stream. This has cut down on the dust, erosion and gravel that had previously negatively impacted the stream and the trout.
I give this group my highest rating and hope they can continue their important work until that day, far into the future, when they have worked themselves out of a job. For the foreseeable future however, we need this group more than ever!
As a life long naturalist, I get dozens of emails asking for donations on worthy environmental causes. The only gift I give, and I give a small monthly amount, is the Center for Biological Diversity. They are on the front lines, saving species and have an incredible record of victories in cases they bring before the courts. Their success rate I believe is close to 90% which means for small donors like myself I feel like I'm really helping make a difference!
